Love these two. And I think this shot makes them look more like different figures than they are.

I dunno but Unique Toys Challenger does it. They also did that Peru Kill (Lockdown) which also somehow hides all the vehicle away. As if by magic. :O Your pics are nice though.

Yea, but those figures are relatively big compared to a Deluxe Lockdown and a Leader Optimus. AND :HASBRO:

is always looking after the parts count of a figure to be in a specific price segment. 3rd party companies just individually price their figures afterwards.

I know these things. Point is that movie-accurate chunky truck and that movie-accurate kibble-free elegant robot can indeed be the same toy *if not in Hasbro's size/budget requirements)

Oh, cool! I actually have the Knights, but I haven't had any disposable income in quite a while, otherwise I'd pick up the Bumblebee version of Soundwave next time I was at Target.

What would you recommend as drumsticks? The ones you're using look like Ninja Turtle weapons, and those won't fit in every Transformer's hands. The exhaust pipes that come with CW Dead End and Brake-Neck seem like they might be a decent option, but I feel like they'd be too long.

Awesome stuff. And yeah, the Voyager Optimus is a neater figure because he was made when the toy designers had a better handle on the new design. Whereas the Leader Class TLK Optimus is just a redeco of the First Edition (First is not always best, sometimes the first edition is very much a rough draft) Leader from AoE without using any of the improvements Takara made.

Cybertron Optimus: "Mine's bigger."
Movieverse Optimus: "Mine is more functional"
Leobreaker: "Yeah... Wish I could get some upgrades to work better and be more show-accurate in this mode."

"Autobots, charge!"

And yes I like the Voyager TLK figure way more than the Leader. Not just for the mold itself but size too.

G1 was great back then so don't get me wrong but now we have better iterations of those characters no matter if in the Generations or movie line(s).

Since I don't have any new toys planned for the remainder of the year, here's my Top Five Releases of 2018 --

• Punch / Counterpunch is easily my favouirte of the bunch. So fun! He doesn't come with a countergun though, so this one from LG13 works just fine.

• LG61 Decepticon Clones Set
• LG58 Autobot Clones Set
A good updates on the original -- they have proper articulation and they look better, but again, no guns!

• LG54 Bumble & Excelsuit Spike -- another nice Legends class toy.

• LG56 Perceptor -- likeness is pretty good except for the head sculpt. Missed opportunity in not redoing the face and having the head transform into Nijika. Didn't love the gun either. But overall a fun toy. Great microscope mode. I like the small Ramhorn figure (not pictured. #-o

)

Didn't make the cut: Windcharger & LG55 Tergetmaster Slugslinger.

I was pretty good this year. With no MPs released and thanks to the "brand unification" HasTak sort of gave me a chance to take a break. Perhaps so I'd feel better about MP-44 in 2019. :lol:

Pics bit blurry cos I'm having to use a temp phone again cos my regular one's USB charge port has broken for the FOURTH time this year. Maybe I should ask Santa for an actual camera this time.
