movie barricade vs g1 prowl.

i think prowl is going to be a very popular choice so im going to put up some info on barricade:

while his showing in the movie wasnt great, being beaten by bumblebee, the prequel novel gave us a good look at him. i like the fact that both his strength and speed are nearly maxed out, its a pretty uncommon combination. going by the book his intelligence and skill should be equally high.

hes shown as a very calm, very intelligent and very capable warrior whos probably very like g1 soundwave. keeping his thoughts and opinions to himself and quietly going about his business while knowing more about the situation than anyone else. hes even mentioned as being as dangerous as starscream, and starscream managed to take on both ironhide and ratchet at the same time and come away pretty much uninjured.

his bio says he is immensely strong and capable of literally tearing autobots in half with his bare hands. he looks like hes a very skilled and agile hand to hand fighter with a pretty dangerous weapon.

so with that in mind, who wins and how would the fight go down?

I'm rooting for Prowl, he's one of the more powerful Autobots around.

With the information you just gave i'ld have to label Barricade the winner. He seems like he's Prowl given the Ddecepticon movie treatment. Prowl was the second best Autobot on the Ark in G1 lore, and if he was given the Decepticon treatment he'ld come across abit like Soundwave, though perhaps logical like shockwave, and be an even closer matchup to Optimus. To put it into DBZ terms Prowl is Vegeta at the end of the Cell saga, while Barricade is Vegeta with the Majin mark in the Buu saga... which had a better shot against Goku?

Still... it's hard to consolidate Barricade with his profile after loosing to bumblebee... I think movie BB is infused with a little 2nd degree Hotrod aka armada Hotshot.

it seems like a huge difference in ability, but in truth, we have no idea under what circumstances bumblebee defeated barricade, other than he had to use his gun. the fight cuts away once frenzy gets close to sam, and we dont see anything else other than bumblebee coming back with his gun out.

in the comic it had barricade falling down a shaft or something, meaning it was an environmental factor, rather than bumblebee defeating him with his own power. i like to know what the novel says about it.

Barricade seems pretty bad-ass so im going with him

Hmm, hard choice but the fact Barricade got beaten by Bumblebee itches me towards Prowl.

In the novel he shoots a wire holding a wrecking ball and it falls on him while he's in car mode chasing, so he's stuck and can't transform.

So Bumble bee got all kinds of lucky in the otherwise onesided fight. Prowl's just not that creative/lucky to pull a leveled fight victory.

Prowl has a gun. Barricade has a spiky batarang. Prowl wins.

he didnt use a gun in the movie, but im sure he has one built in like the rest of them. in the game he was pretty decently armed.

Barricade

Prowl's G1 blockiness would crush Barricade's realistic spikiness. While doing so, he would remind Barricade that he's only a G1 Micromaster originally.
