BBTS Pre-Orders are normly, great. I always use them as a first reference, then shop elsewhere, but the pre-orders almost always rock!

For $150 I could get a MP Prime, but I already have one. So I'm going to get this Ratchet instead.

Isn't it one figure per book? Anyway, BBTS is not dealing with only 1 figure, so you can't compare.

The Golden Disk set is real nice, I ordered one a while back but it was to nice to open, so I'm happy that I got a chance to get a second one for actual use.

The first one is in a display case, and one day I swear I'll make it to some conventions and get it taged up by some Beast Wars staffers.

Does that Unicron stand actually hold up?

Yes.

But it's good advice to follow the directions and leave a figure as heavy as Unicron close to a wall for support, the stand is very vibration sensative.

I have TidalWave on one as well, and with a lighter figure like him, there is no problem.

I recomend it though, Unicron looks so much better hovering!

I dropped a preorder for this and e-hobby Ironhide. I'll try to get 'em cheaper, but at least this way I know I'll get one. I don't wanna see the secondhand prices of these a year from now.

IS there a direct link to where to get the book in Japan? My sister in law is in Japan and gets care packages from her family pretty frequently. So I would like to just cut out the middle man and order it directly

Well, I have nothing to add with what has already been stated about what a waste of money this figure would be, but I would like to say that I wish BBTS(who I have enjoyed doing business with on numerous occassions) would spend more time and resources scouring the market for some Energon and Cybertron figures instead of this.

For all the Japanese book hoopla, this is a bargain compared to their MP Starscream middleman price hikes.

I picked up the book yesterday. Awesome book, btw. It looks like you can order 2 figures per book at a cost of 10,000 yen (around 93 USD). Considering the trouble involved with ordering them as well as shipping a few dozen of them overseas, 150 USD, while not cheap, really is as low as they could sell these for while still seeing a profit.

The book is available through amazon.co.jp, for anyone who's interested.

Im sure theres many lonely collectors willing to put down that much for a crappy toy in crappy colors. Is this the next thing? G1 molds in movie color schemes?

Chuckle... I was thinking exactly the same thing. First they try to make more money by repainting movie toys in G1 schemes, and just when you thought that was all... Nope! From their bags of tricks this one is pulled out... paint G1 toys in movie colours!

Ditto, though I felt around the 110 mark would have been more reasonable. I'll pre-order and then see if he is any cheaper on Ebay eventually.

You sir, are a hater.

I should buy 5 of these out of spite and lord them over the people who will want them in a year.

Counterpunch, I would do the same thing but unfortunately I don’t have $750 to spend :-( . If I do scrounge up $150 or find this a bit cheaper I will definitely buy it, somehow I’ve become oddly attracted to neon green.
