I was just wandering how many of you Beast Wars fans out there would love to see a live action movie version of this some day? I know some people say that it wouldn't look good, but just really think about it. Realistic backgrounds, cgi animals and dinosaurs transforming into robots and fighting each other. Remember the scene in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen where Optimus was fighting the Decepticons in the forest? Think of that only with the Maximals and Predacons fighting each other. Also think of the scene in the King Kong remake where King Kong was fighting the T-Rex in the forest. They could even have a story where the Maximals and Predacons were on the brink of extinction on Cybertron. Where they were starving from not having enough energon for fuel, and so they launch the Axalon and the Darksyde into space in search of more energon. They get in a battle and crash land on Prehistoric Earth. There they find, you guessed it, the All Spark, which crashed landed on Earth way before they even got there, and sunk into the ice. They could even show a scene where Optimus Primal tracks down his crew on Cybertron before they leave and finds Rattrap at a "gentleman's club". Rattrap mentioned something similar in the Beast Wars show; remember? "I know this sweet little place behind a hole in the wall where these fembots are walking around minus their torso parts. You know what I'm sayin'." I can just see Optimus walking in there and seeing Rattrap throw credit chips at the dancers and Optimus shakes his head. What do you think? Remember this movie would be PG-13.

I think a transforming robot Gorilla and his friends would make an incredibly stupid movie. That would be okay, because no non-fan would ever go to see it.

On movie continuity there was the battles in the past among Transformers for the Matrix.

My biggest concern would be how the animal kibble would look on the metal robots. The show looked okay because the models weren't that detailed and the animals were sort of cartoony. The story itself would work okay-ish, especially if they tie it with movieverse elements (Megatron and AllSpark on Earth). But, the whole 'realistic animals' angle which is pretty much the main unique selling point of BW, would look stupid combined with Movieverse robot modes IMO.

Personaly no, i don't want a beast wars movie. I never liked the idea of transforming animals. BUt i do understand that there is a following umong fans. If this were to work, it would have to be low budget straight to DVD. This would not work as a big budget summer block buster. And let me tell you...
For those that did't like the movies and felt they put TF fans in a bad light... I can hear all the laughing from people all ready as the read the headlines... Optimus Primal? Ya, give me a break.

I dont think designs would be a problem,they would be designed the same as any robots.
They could make a movie on pre-historic Earth where we see the battle of the Transformers that fight alongside the Dinasty of the Prime and the ones that fight alongside The Fallen,like the seekers.

What would be the point of making a "live-action" movie in which all of the characters would be computer-generated?
