Okay, here are some pics for you, X. Sorry, I didn't see your message until I had disassembled my little shooting area to fix my son's bed. If you need more pics, let me know and I'll set it back up.
Here's Superion with the leg reversed. I think this looks okay, but I think I prefer the other way around. Also, the monkey arms here are somewhat influenced by perspective. I didn't have my tripod set up and this was taken slightly downward where the arms, bent at the elbow, are closer to the camera, thus looking big. Sorry about that!
Here are a couple of side shots of the nose cone.
In this pic, Silverbolt's fist is tucked into the cavity some. The nose cone is not tabbed in. There is pretty much no knee bending available in this configuration.
Here, the fist is back up in its regular configuration. With the nose cone, there is pretty much no way to bend the knee, unless you tip out the nosecone to point straight back. (Sorry, no pic of this..) I don't think this would look very good.
As far as extensions go, I don't know how well you can see it there, but the tip of the nosecone goes nearly all the way to Silverbolt's "elbow", or about a quarter inch below the hip/upper thigh (Silverbolt's upper arm) swivel. In order to clear the knee joint, the extensions would need to be about an inch and a half, with Superion's knee remaining in the same place, making a very short thigh to very long lower leg. I cannot picture a way that this would look good. Perhaps someone will come up with something... As I walk over to my G2 Superion, the extensions would actually be fairly consistent to the G1 toy. I'll see if I can get some comparison pics up tomorrow. Time for bed.

(I answer to Ag or Ags. Agamemnon is too long to type. Plus, there is something elemental about calling me Ag.
