But yeah, I definitely am hooked on huntin' Pretenders! I found Finback and negotiated him down to $30....he has his belt but no speargun or small gun. I'm trying to at least get the small gun...and if I can find the rest for a reasonable price, I'll bite. Same goes for the Octopunch crab legs and small gun. Completed, however, the prices jump simply cuz it's a pain to have it all!

That's what I noticed too when I got curious about Octopunch and Skullgrin. Soooo expensive when complete :shock:

It's the highly variable prices that make this Pretender hunt fun, even if it's completely virtual.

I'm currently in a bidding war for a few accessories, including one for Octopunch's small gun. It's already more than the $25 I paid for his shell, helmet, mini-bot self and his harpoon-gun -- so that war is over.

I refuse to get crazy for completion's sake here, since I was able to get his harpoon-gun for $5!

For Finback, it should be easier to hunt for his two guns....but completing them both may take awhile -- I love bargain hunting for these, though.

Still want Skullgrin too!

That's the way to do it

I buy lots of stuff, and seemingly at random. The reason for that is because I don't buy much of anything unless it's a deal. I have a constant 40-80 TF saved searches fielding pings that I watch daily, and I've waiting years for some items just because it wasn't that magical price. Patience in this hobby yields great results ;)^

I have to admit, because this hunt is all virtual, I have no qualms asking sellers for my desired price point! I only got Captain Con cuz I had two different sellers to choose from!

Bod, this is an exciting hunt, and I like this weird quest for you.

In your scouring for loose parts, do/have you tried www.transformerland.com?

They have an ever expansive inventory of parts, and it's even worth writing to them about what your looking for. They may not have the part listed, but may have it in a bin somewhere or will keep an eye out for it. If you haven't tried them, they are excellent, and their customer service is top notch grade AAA!

Edit: Duh! Remember the parts I ordered for Optimal Optimus inspired by your acquisition of him?

Thanks Cobo! I had visited transformerland.com previously because I liked their online pricing guide -- it gave me an idea of what to expect from eBay prices, etc.

Unfortunately for me, though, I bought two Pretenders who they really don't have much for. Nothing for Octo, but they do have Finback's large gun!

For $20. I'd rather hunt and pay half (preferably less!).

But they do have a complete G1 Roadblock -- I'd love to have him, but I dunno about $130+....maybe when it's bonu$ time.

So in my quest for Pretender accessories (for my current collection of two lol), what are the thoughts on Shapeways or transrepro?

I found a guy on the former site who specifically 3D prints Octopunch's crab legs ($8!) and his small gun ($6)! Now, these would only be for my personal play & posing pleasure -- if I were to ever sell 'em (haha), I would not include these items.

In-hand, it's obvious they manufactured him with quality plastics, ratchets, joints and paints -- I appreciate the effort MMC always put in, making this great for display & play.

So I beat Devil Survivor. Fun game. Took a while because the game bugged out on me. To the point that I quite it and called Nintendo to get a refund. But it unglitched later on and I had not gone online yet so my game was still there. I finished it but got what I think might be the worst ending of all of them.

I ... skipped town and the entire world went to hell (literally). At the point I was at it was either leaving or becoming satan so I preferred leaving (plus I couldnt resist Yuzu asking me, ever the gentleman). But yeah, not a great ending.

Do you know how to get the ending where you side with the angels?

I started replaying the game but man do I miss my better powers. I became a real beast by the end. Loki was defeated in one go (no chance) and so were those angels. There was nothing they could throw my way that I couldnt anihilate. but now I feel so weak without even some decent passive powers (Race O blows).

Dont know if I will continue. this was a great game though, I just wish I ended up with a better ending.

Congrats on completing Devil Survivor, Will! I beat the game twice, as on replay you should get to keep some things that make subsequent runs faster -- but first time through, I got the reset humanity/no more demons ending. This meant no demons in the party, including Black Frost if you recruited him as an actual party member (he's cooler than Keisuke!). I did not have the option to flee with Yuzu, since they added that path to Overclocked! I played the vanilla release.

Second time, I went True Demon.

If yer game, I'd recommend one more playthrough....or go Devil Survivor 2!

I will transform Cyclonus soon! More pics to come.

Hey shaj! I especially wanted to see Cyclonus two-hand that sword, since I was posing him to be Beatrix "The Bride" Kiddo!

I'll say it again, not a fan of that Cyclonus. Partly because of the alt-mode, but mostly because MMC's gone very MTMtE accurate for a lot of their figures, and I'm very disappointed that they changed the style for one figure, of one of my favorite characters at that...hoping they do a 'proper' one down the road. Maybe a retool in a two-pack with a Tailgate? Anyway, I'm sure it's a nice figure, but I'd be much more okay with it if it was from a different third-party.

Thanks Cary! The negative buzz was quite strong with MMC's Cyclonus, and I considered canceling my order. I'm certainly glad I didn't -- I'm having lots of fun with him!

I can understand that, Sigma - I am not exactly sure why MMC didn't continue with delivering accurate-ish IDW incarnations, but if the rumors are to be believed, it was the owner himself that decided on this direction for Cyclonus.
