True. Well, I still have to show off my completed Armorhide/Huffer repaint. When I get all my things moved up here anyway.

Cool. Good luck with your projects. I'm interested in seeing your Cybertron Huffer. You might enjoy my trailer for Armorhide.

Wow, that looks really good! he's like Teeny-Tinymus Prime! And Roller was a nice touch.

Indeed. I know I'm glad I bought that blue spray paint when I saw it clearanced at $.30. :D

Paint for 30 cents?! Where?

JoAnn Fabrics HARD clearanced a huge amount of Spray paint a few weeks ago, including most of the Krylon Fusion.

I got like $160 worth for $20.

Err, actually. I should mention that they ACCIDENTALLY put them on sale on top of the clearance. So the REAL clearance price, which they've since reverted to, ias about $1.30

Oh this angers me to no end. Next time shoot me a PM...Though it's probably not nationwide. I've been looking for Fusion in black for cheap for a while. Drug Mart is the only place around here that sells it and they have a can priced for like $7.00. Never thought of trying Jo-Ann.

EDIT: After reading your edit I'm heading up there tomorrow.

Well, considering I work there and the spraypaint is in my section I can tell you it's chain wide. We're getting ready to completely redo the section in the next few months.

Unfortunately I can also tell you the Black Fusion wasn't part of the clearance, nor was red. Almost all the rest was though. Though our Fusion is only like $5.50 or something like that regular price, and we have coupons all the god damn time.

personally i'm fairly indifferent to the seekers, I'm sure I can find them afterwards on ebay, for less even. I'm more annoyed at the basic registration fee, $155 for non members seems a bit high, higher than most cons i've gone too, and waiting this long before releasing registration info makes it harder to plan my finances for it, if they had released the registration prices a few months back, i could have planned better

so now that things have calmed down (yay!), what do you guys think the 'free' figure will be? What about any other figs that you pay for (ala Darksyde Megs/Waspy)?

Awesome, thanks.

It wasn't his pilot, it was an important Cobra character trying to escape. It was either Dr. Mindbender or Major Bludd, I don't remember which one.
Awesome pic by the way.

Man, that's rough. I'm all for Con exclusives. I mean I'm sure most fans would enjoy having a rare set of good looking figures. But I don't like this one bit. I'm going to botcon this year, but as it's going, I may not have enough money to BUY anything when I get there. :P

I would rather see the seekers as HTS exclusives like Astrotrain. Both sides of the arguement make good points. On the one side, too many of the same mould would not appeal to retailers one bit. Transformers aren't as popular as Star Wars or Lego, and they really wouldn't move off the shelf from a business POV. On the other hand, one of the few things fans have agreed on is that the other 3 seekers should be released to the public at a normal price. (4 if you count Sunstorm).

I would think HTS would be the best route for something like that. I'm still thinking that Prime or Megatron may end up getting the re-paint treatment as well. You know, kind of like how they did with the Darksydes, LB and BS.

If there were a package that includedevery thing in primus exept 5 figure box, I'd be happier. I would do the protoform, but then you cant get the awards show or private sales room.

I'm sure someone here would be more than happy to give you between $50-$100 for your exclusive set.

Weapon: Sniper Rifle
Not to add to the whining, but, as I'm probably never going to be able to afford these, my hope is that they're all just straight repaints with absolutely no retooling whatsoever. That would make Dirge and Thrust look pretty lame. I'd rather commission one of our site members to make me a custom set of seekers and pay HIM for the figures...

I will look into working with thrust and see if I can do some sort of mould to make a part that can go onto a Starscream wing and then make adjusted tail stabalisers. I am pretty good with my hands. I will have to get a few seekers to play with first. I have a plan in progress :D

Hmmm.. time to buy myself an extra Starscream while we still have them and look in on the kitbashers to see what paints to use to make Thundercracker.

On top of buying a house and a new car, both of which we needed, and trying to keep my house fixed up, there is no way I'd be able to afford to go to Botcon, let alone get these suckers through the non-attending package.

I know they're selling them loose, but are they only selling them loose as a set or coudl I get someone to get me JUST thundercracker?

wow. so much hatred for something cool

i agree its totaly overpriced

i agree that hasbro should not have stopped the line, and put these out in general release.

but this is the first ever botcon ill be able to attend, and seeing as how classics were the figs ive been waiting forthem to put out since g2, im hyped about this set.

i dont nessesarily think thrust and dirge needed to be non convention exclusives, but thundercracker totaly deserved a widespread release.

looks like a lot of you wont be there at botcon this year

oh well, for those that are, hope to se you there~ ;;)

You and me both

I knew this was going to happen if you want it you have to be there and have tons of money

Hasbro didn't have to do this they could of made more money by releasing them to the general public

I know Hasbro isn't running Botcon but they could of told the people running this no

With this being the year of the movie they should of used something from the movie as an exclusive instead of overcharging people to get these

I guess I will wait for the remaining two packs of Magnus and Skywarp to go down in price even more and then have Skywarp repainted into Thundercracker

is there any faint hope now that I can get a titanium Skywarp if it's release? or is that going to be some exclusive somewhere I can't even get to?

I still so terribly disappointed about this, so very disappointed. Yes, Dirge and Thrust as exclusives... I could see that but Thundercracker?

I haven't looked at the botcon thing...if I must I'll sell some of my toys or something :( does botcon take paypal or am I screwed with that as well?
