Brakethrough wrote:I was originally thinking of using "DO NOT WAAAAANT", but I actually DO want those figures. I'm not going to be anywhere near that convention, but...but...I don't suppose there's a nice, cheaper than 200$USD for a Canadian fan like me to get them? No box needed or anything. Any suggestions?
Thunderscream wrote:e-Bay - if you're lucky. That site's a scalper's paradise.
Chris McFeely wrote:This, I won't argue with. At least as regards Thundercracker, Dirge and Ramjet - they feel very "traditional," and seem like something that should have a wider release. I'm on the side of anyone who expresses that emotion - but at the same time, one needs to understand that it was the con, or for them to not exist at all.
Believing that the non-attendee package should be cheaper, though? You hush, chile.
Counterpunch wrote:I'm going to drink GetterDragon, ACS, Seibs, and everyone else, straight under the table at BotCon.
and we're playing Attacktix for shots...
Archibald Witwicky wrote:Err, believing the non-attending price should still be considerably marked-up but not as much as the Con is unreasonable? Sorry, can't agree there chief. While I understand that the convention exclusive couldn't ever be as cheap as they would be as individual releases in stores, thinking that it's A-OKAY to expect those who can't attend to pay for all the stuff they can't attend is equally ridiculous.

Nor does it give you a right to act as if you're a 'better' fan because you're willing to shell out ridiculous amounts of money for cheap toys.
Which, yes, you are. As was Getter when he posted.

Ahhhh yes I am a much better fan and a complete elitest because I can do something wonderful called SAVING.

....
And if you want these figures so damn much...

I have a feeling the Customs, Kitbashes, and Repaints Section is going to be FULL of similar projects in the near future.

Indeed. I know I'm glad I bought that blue spray paint when I saw it clearanced at $.30.

Grab a spare Starscream and some model paint, bro.

True. Well, I still have to show off my completed Armorhide/Huffer repaint. When I get all my things moved up here anyway.
