You know who else needs an update really bad? BotCon 1995 Nightracer, though I don't have any suggestions off the top of my head. At this point, I'm game for Generations Arcee to get a new head for Nightbird, a new head for Nightracer, and a repaint as Paradron Medic. There you go Hasbro and Fun Pub. 3 new uses for Arcee. Plus if they swapped out a piece on her for a diecast piece, gave her a slavish G1 cartoon paint job, and plopped her in a 1986 replica package to sell as a premium item, there'd be a 4th use.

Ryan, you might be onto something!

It's been rumored that that Nova Prime toy could represent a Beast Wars: Uprising version of the guy, as a clone of Lio Convoy. But, if it were instead to be repurposed as an Uprising version of Onyx Primal, him being Lio Convoy's clone would make a lot more sense than Nova Prime would, and could doubly serve as a throwback to Black Lio Convoy having been a clone of the BWII cartoon Lio Convoy. And it would validate Pete Sinclair's original statement of this Nova Prime not being an Uprising character.

Wholeheartedly, this "Nova Prime repuposed as Onyx Primal" idea of yours is brilliant! :APPLAUSE:

That would be awesome to get Nightracer out of Legends Tailgate. The circle would be near complete. I'd still love to get a Tailgate toy out of the RTS Windcharger mold though to complete the circle. Tailgate has the right head for a Nightracer update and she could technically double as a Wipe-Out. Well, sort of. Colors are a bit off.

I don't know, I think tailgate might be a bit to clunky for night racer, i've always wanted one out of Animated Arcee

The Jiaxus idea is solid! Before hearing that, I was really wanting to see the Sandstorm mold in black. A Batmobile and Tumbler would look amazing in black. That would be a vastly different look for that mold's wild orange deco.

Of course, it wouldn't look as much like the original... more a re-imagining. Either way, I hope Onyx Primal is in the lineup... especially with a vehicle mode.

Doing the math, These Botcon toys are more expensive than Third party toys of the same toy class.

The average stay at home Botcon Five pack gift set cost anywhere from $399 to $429. With tax and shipping fees for such a big heavy box. The grand total is now $450. $450 divided by Five figures is $90 for each toy. Most Botcon gift sets have more deluxes and maybe One or Two Voyager toys

$450 divided into Five toys is $90 for each toy. Means each deluxe cost $90. Each Voyager or Ultra cost $90.

Currently third party companies offer a new sculpt deluxe toy for around $60. A new sculpt Voyager for around $75.

Now Discussing the Actual Botcon Battle Trap toy. Think the blue needed to be much darker. The white needed to be darker like off white or mild grey. To better match the colors shades of the G1 toy.

Miss the days of 3H when the Botcon toys all came in separate boxes. Cost more than Half of what FunPub is charging. Think the first Botcon year Hasbro gave away the first Convention toy for free.

The thing that hurts Onyx Primal's chances of being in this year boxed set line up is Oilmaster's better chance since Oilmaster not only showed up at BotCon 1996 like Onyx did but is also a bounty hunter, whereas Onyx Primal is an infiltrator, an assassin, and/or a Tripredacus agent.

Not saying he's the 3H one, but the IDW one had the same assassin function as well. I was counting every iteration of the guy, who have all been mostly the same kind of character. If the Club were to reinvent Onyx as a new bounty hunter type character, then there wouldn't be much reason for them to make it be Onyx instead of any one of the already existing bounty hunter type characters.

Plus, as I said, Oilmaster's already got both of the "BotCon 1996" and "bounty hunter" traits going for him, helping his own chances and hurting Onyx's.

That is true. Its not like it would be very hard either. I have seen a few awesome customs out of energon molds and some PCC figures.

honestly, I think my and jelze' main reasonings for jhiaxus over starscream are probably similar. In my case, it's that the wings look a little more batlike than starscreams. I can't speak for her.
