This is a perfect Botcon exclusive. Great color scheme, good mold choice, new character, obscure diaclone homage. So much win. If this comes through for this year, I will gladly pick one up. This will make an excellent addition to the ole Diaclone shelf. Truly excellent.

Whoa, let's not get ahead of ourselves: everything is labeled RUMOR for a reason. All we have is a black Diaclone-inspired Gen. Skids, nothing else. Maybe it's indeed for BotCon, maybe it's an abandoned concept (like that Waspinator out of BotCon 2013 Skywarp was).

Which one? The closest match would be the IDW one, but he's based on Gen. Trailcutter. Next is the Movie one, from the IDW comics, then there's the one from the Transformers Universe game.

Thing is, all of them are

True, but would a black redeco of Trailcutter really be that enticing (or that different from the original)?

And given this is Axiom Nexus we're dealing with here, it wouldn't specifically have to be the IDW G1 universe version of Flatline. For all we know, it could be a Robots in Disguise 2001 universe version of Flatline, or a Unicron Trilogy universe version of Flatline. Or an Aligned universe version of Flatline.

We can only hope!! I've been wanting to do those trailbreaker and hoist repaints for a while now. They look great.

It's a CHUG scaled Diaclone, so I must have it. I could care less who Funpub says he is in their comic. It's a shame we cant get Diaclone Bluestreak though. Thats the one deco I want. Have no interest in MP scale though.

Yup, classics collections make you crazy like that. I'd pay 100 bucks or a little more for a diaclone Bluestreak if it existed....but I will grab as many obscure decos as possible...I just have missed out on some that have disgustingly inflated prices now.

With the lack of faction symbols I'm going with new guy from the Diaclone universe to match the box set. I doubt they were just forgotten.

I posted the first story this morning, and my opinion was kinda just an indifferent "huh... neat". But with these new images.... I'm really diggin him. Like REALLY.

Is it accurate to the original Diaclone? I mean, did the Diaclone have a mouth or faceplate?

Humanoid Face (Skids)
Blue
Red
Black

Faceplate (Crosscut)
Red
Silver

In the IDW comics Alpha Trion mentions the "Diaclona Tribe" on Cybertron so the idea of a universe where Cybertron is populated by sentient Diaclones isn't much of a stretch.
