Addressing some of the sideline revealed rumoured BotCon 2015 souvenir figures (such the Waspinators, Skids, and Arcee), Pete Sinclair was part of a recent CyberCast podcast (as notified by fellow Seibertronian Starsaber468) - and revealed nothing. At all.

What was mentioned, however, was the new Kre-O set, which will include an art component too, and the fact that there will be an additional figure compared to last year's ensemble (8 rather than 7) for more or less the same cost as last year's set. Flywheels was indeed mentioned, but really more as a 'what might not be there' due to other figures making the souvenir line-up instead. Is any of this news? Up to you to decide.

I am not frontpaging this.

Funpublication's very own Pete Sinclair just dropped by to let us know of the announcement of BotCon 2015 Souvenir set's pricing! These Souvenir set well only be available at Botcon held in St. Charles/Chicago, Illinois on June 18th – June 21st!

Here is Pete's announcement below.

BotCon 2015 Souvenir pricing!
We are happy to announce that this years souvenir pricing is almost exactly the same as last year (It went up by $1!) The big news though is that instead of an overall offering of 7 figures and a Kre-O figure pack to choose from, this years total souvenir set offerings includes 8 figures and a Kre-O pack. So you are getting one more deluxe sized exclusive than last year, all for essentially the same price!
The pricing is as follows:
Souvenir Set 1 (2 pack) - $89
Souvenir Set 2 (2 pack) - $79
Souvenir Set 3 (4 pack) - $169
Kre-O Souvenir Set (6 pack) - $29

The 4 Waspinators, and that set is the one with the "extra Deluxe" if I may add.

We know two of the Souvenirs already (General Optimus Prime, Black Skids), so 4 to go, including the Freebee and Customizing Class figures.

And it looks like the Kre-O sets are here to stay.

Souvenir Set 1 (2 pack) - $89
-Probably G2 General Optimus Prime from Generations Roadbuster and G2 Sergeant Hound from Generations Scoop

Souvenir Set 2 (2 pack) - $79
-Probably Diaclone Skids from Generations Skids & Diaclone Police Sunstreaker from Classics Sunstreaker

Souvenir Set 3 (4 pack) - $169
- Waspinator 4 Pack

In regards to predicting Diaclone Police Sunstreaker:

1. Pete hinted in his podcast interviews that while a Diaclone box set would not work, a Diaclone 2 pack might.
2. The Japanese designer of Sunstreaker is a guest this year.
3. Diaclone Sunstreaker was a Police Car
4. Several Bots that have Police Cars as their alt modes have already been shown to be part of the Police Force in the comic preview.

So with that all in mind, despite not seeing a leaked prototype yet, I'm predicting we will see Diaclone Sunstreaker in the 2 pack with Skids

In the latest (as of this typing) Twincast Podcast, Pete essentially gave away (indirectly) that there are four decos in the troop-builder set, which these four Waspinators have.

Also, he rebutted the assumption that the Club won't do Flywheels, saying that there's a chance but that the Duocons aren't that important a duo needing to be completed right now, and that the Blitzwing mold contains "challenges" with it that keep it from being a workable candidate.

It's less a logistical challenge and more that Pete simply doesn't like the mold. That's what I've heard, anyway.

I happen to love that mold, so I do hope a Flywheels redeco comes to us somehow.

It's literally the best of the four. I hope it's a fembot. Not because pink's a girl color or anything dumb like that, but because I like the idea of more bug lady's in Transfomers fiction that aren't actually arachnids. Like Beet Papil, I want her.

If this does turn out to be General Optimus Prime, I'm really glad they left the head alone and didn't make a more Optimus Prime-like headsculpt, since one of the things that made General Optimus Prime special was his being a straight redeco of a non-Optimus Prime toy, resulting in his headsculpt not looking like the traditional Optimus Prime headsculpt design. Keeping that aspect intact is the right way to go.
