Do you people not read news? I don't know how everyone thinks that Goldbug was gonna be used with the Cls BB mold. This has been stated on other sites as well. Not only that, but I'm glad that they didn't use the same mold that they have already used last year. Each years set should be different from the previous year. We have a 4 lines to go through in A/E/C and Cls. Hopefully, they'll avoid a good part of Armada...

Looking at the chest--it looks like an ant's head: yellow mandibles, black eyes, and silver 'cheeks'.

Purposely done? Happy accident? Or is it the wine I am drinking?

*EDIT: I am quite happy that the rumor of Cyb Hot Shot used as the mold is true. It is much better than the Classics BBee mold, and is different like the original G1 BB is a different mold than the G1 Goldbug!

Great idea gone bad. Prime was too femine colored to look anybit EVIL. And Goldbug, I mean that's awesome that they're using the Goldbug name/character, but it doesn't look Decepticon enough...or is that Autobot enough?

But maybe the rest will shock and awe us.

We are entitled to our opinions and if we do not like it we can express them without forcing them on others.

Again IMHO I think he looks like ass and it makes me glad I did not purchase an Iacon set this year (last years was so far superior IMHO)..

I like the head its very G1ish but it doesn't go with that body

Head's a shade or two to bright a blue but otherwise I'm really impressed. I think I'm almost jealous of the people getting this set now. Can't wait to see Jazz and Grimlock now.

Well, it makes me feel better to have the site admin on my side...I was starting to think I couldn't post around here in these threads...

It's a neat idea, and maybe it will grow on me, and this is completely moot now that Iacon packages are gone for non-attendees....but I'm just not feeling this set. Glad so many others seem to be enjoying it, though. Maybe if I like one of the future pieces I can pick one up off a member...

It still gets me that packages are sold out with only 2 figures being shown so far... :???:

I'm not going to botcon, and I don't like exclusives, but so far, I like this set. Not thrilled with the colors on Prime, but it's a good mold, and Goldbug looks great!
This is shaping up to be a nice set, especially when you consider the convention-only figures (even though, I guess technically they're not part of the set).

Goldbug looks pretty badass. I agree that he does look an ALOT like Stealth BB. He's even got the AllSpark blue. Which kind of sucks since there are 2 figures, although different molds, are very similar in color scheme and character. It kind of ruins the exclusivity. The blue head was jarring to me at first, but it's starting grow on me. He sure has alot of black on him. More black than gold. Maybe they should call him Blackbug instead.

I see they have a pic of Prime in vehical mode up now too. It almost saves the figure for me. Still pissed that we got this and ComicCon got Nemesis Prime. :-x

I like the motto. "Till All Are Gone." They just squeeze the G in there. Funny how I never thought of that. They'll probably explain in the comic why Prime is so heavily damaged and Goldbug looks like new. Maybe he's ultimately defeated in a big brawl like the Battle of Autobot City. :-?
