Still, this set so far is pretty underwhelming. It's all just predictable repaints that I wouldn't even pick up if they were mass-produced and sold at retail.
Thank my lucky stars I won't be tempted to get any of these.

Um, no they wouldn't. Flooding the market with 6 jets that are virtually identical (parents don't pay that much attention to remolding like we do) would not have been a good idea.
The only other option for a general release would have been to wait after the movie about a year, and even then, most kids would be used to the way the movie figures look and probably wouldn't want any of the Classics.
So in a way, Hasbro was screwed if they released these figures to the public.
Much better to have them as exclusives, than not at all.
