Can they survive being shot in the head or decapitation? Because that is most of what Dante does.

But being hot doesn't mean you can beat Dante. This idea has been explored at least once every game.

True....but who would you rather see fight??????
I just entered this topic for the fun of it anyway...I really dont have a clue about who or what Dante is.

Alright, here's a rundown:
Thousands of years ago, there was a huge surge of demons on Earth. One Demon, Sparda, slaughtered most of them, and trapped the rest behind a Seal, the trade-off being that his power got trapped on the other side. The seal apparently lets just enough demons through that they can make good antagonists.
In relatively recent time, he had twin sons, Dante and Vergil, by a human mother. Then he died.
He ad his brother are half demons, that really all the important bits from his lineage.
Dante runs a shop called Devil May Cry, a demon hunting business. He uses, for the most part, a large sword, and a pair of over-sized pistols that don't need to be reloaded called Ebony&Ivory. (One is black, the other is white, hence the names) He does have experience with other firearms and weapons.
But the important thing is his acrobatics, reflexes, and apparent immortality. First off, he makes Olympic gymnasts look like amateurs. Second, he has been run through by swords NO LESS than four times. (Twice in DMC3, at least once in DMC1, and and at least once in DMC4) Although, in the very first cutscene in DMC3, he was stabbed, in multiple areas, by at least five demons using scythes. He punch one out, spun it's head on his finger like a basketball, then walked to a jukebox casually. (He wanted some good fight music)
He's also been shot in the forehead (Which annoyed him, literally, he told the woman who did it a few cutscenes later "I don't like chicks who shoot me in the head!"), he's also caught a bullet in his teeth.
And then there's Devil Trigger, which is everything I just described, times fifty. (Better, stronger, faster, etc.)
