I'm just still hugely impressed that you made him without the roof turning into a huge stomach.
That alone is amazing work.

Not bad, Not bad at all!
Anyways, you may need to tweak the legs and arms a bit but did you put in articulated fingers?

Wow, this is cool enough to drag me out of my cave to say hello to you dudes. Hello dudes.
Herman, that's amazing. As everyone here is dying to see how this baby works, I've decided to take a preemptive stab at figuring it out. Am I even close?

Heh, very close indeed, but the arms aren't connected to the doors... they 're attached to the chest (inner side). The original toy model was blue... i'm gonna paint it like the G1 bumblebee.
cheers

How about making a seconed one, and before you paint it, you make a mold out of it, cast a few in the corect colors and sell em? I would buy one!

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

WANT ONE!
How much?
Major bonus points for combining 1) the decent compromise between a realistic VW Beetle and G1-style superdeformed Beetle (would that make this a somewhatdeformed Beetle?), 2) the well-proportioned robot mode, and especially 3) designing your own transformation, instead of trying to force G1-style transformation to fit a shape it doesn't fit. You rock!

Nice idea, but have you any idea how hard would be to try and get moulds from some of these parts? Odds are you'd need an industrial mould press to get them, especially on those parts with areas of thin plastic; it's a nightmare trying to get them to work at home.
