Oh yeah Alternators are really worth collecting, great alt/bot forms & fun to transform. However, be prepared to shell out $20-$120 each, I would say average figure goes for $30-$60 plus shipping from eBay, loose ones at about $10 less.
I try to collect at least one figure from each mold initially, afterwards I will patiently wait for better deals on remaining figures.
There's one vendor at Frank & Son Collectible Show (near entrance) with about 10 different Alternators, so checking this place out might help you acquire few more figures that are no longer available in stores.
Good luck with collecting Alternators, I'm sure you'll love them dearly.
