That and poor distrubution. Even when stuff is being put out on shelves there doesn't seem to be too much or we would still see smokescreen who appears to be a shelf-warmer for this batch.

And has anyone on the west-coast seen the clear Lockdown at Zellers? I have seen the yellow Ratchet at a number Zellers around town but not a single Lockdown. It doesn't give me much hope for Sunstorm.

edit:

The power of negative posting. Found Stealth Lockdown at Brentwood. It looks like Zellers is having a 25% off sale on Star Wars and Transformers. Picked up SL and seeing i found both of them in the same place finally (and on sale) i grabbed Sideswipe and Sunstreaker.

Yeah, it seems they only ever get a case or two at a time, I always see empty pegs. Haven't been to Broadway in awhile though, who knows what they might have.

Not sure if this is old news, but I went to Wal Mart lastnight and Classics Universe Deluxe figures are now $8.92 +tax. I found Cyclonus, Hound, Dinobot and Starscream. Got them all for $40 and change.

Sorry to double post, but are we getting Animated Skywarp in Canada? I don't know if he's a main line figure or some sort of exclusive. Just wondering if I should buy online or wait and see.

He's not an excusive if that's what you mean. I think is more of a question of:

A) Is Habro Canada modifing the release waves up here? (Cause it seams like they are)
B) What wave is shipping in then?
C) Have any major retailers actually ordered that release?

I know I have seen a few but only in smaller stores. (Metropolis / Richmond)

Yeah, and Metropolis Comics & Toys are/were charging $50 for him... I'm not prepared to pay that much when I can get him online for much cheaper.

It seems like retailers skipped some waves up here. I fear they'll just drop the later waves altoghether once ROTF is out, meaning we'll never even see Wreck-Gar, not to mention upcoming releases. :(

yhea well, seeing he has to get transformers thru Diamond now, as he's can't really order enough from hasbro for his store size. I have no idea how Spence was getting his supplies before but if he was ordering directly from Hasbro and charging the prices he was then he lost a lot of money there.

We did seem to skip a wave out here, unless wal-mart had them and people grabbed them up too quickly. I'm hoping that TRU will do a voyager sale just to clear out all the lugnutz that seem to be clogging shelves and then ship stores stock that we have yet to see.

Well at least I can dream that will happen. (atleast i picked up risk reinvented from TRU last night for $17.)

It's too bad ordering from Hasbro doesn't work for smaller retailers.

Well I'm going down to Seattle again soon so maybe they'll have something. They usually don't though, I expected to find a huge stock of newer TFs last time, but all I've found so far were Leader Megs & Magnus, and Blurr. I guess I had unrealistic hopes of the US being some mythical TF-land.

It depends on where you are going. I find dropping down to Bellingham doesn't always work. Thou I have had success a few times at the Northgate TRU 20 minutes north of Seattle on the I-5.

I'll be down in Seattle for Easter, but I doubt I'll get to TRU or Target. Hopefully Hot Topic will have something new and nifty on the accessories front.

The only time I have ever really seen a "fantasy land of TF's" it was the Times Square TRU in New York, but as it was during RID, I really didn't worry about picking anything up. If I had, maybe I would have spent half of what I did pay to get Scourge a few years later.

Found Dinobot alone with a Cheetor two weeks ago at the South Keys Walmart. I was worried that maybe I had missed the wave with Hound and Cyclonus, until I went back this past Wednesday, and they had restocked fully with what looked like 3 cases of the Hound/Cyclonus/Cheetor/Starscream assortment.

And is the new $8.92 price tag a sale price or a permanent rollback price? Because the toys were actually labeled at that price, and usually when there's a sale they're still labeled at the old price.

I was just at Metropolis Comics and they had all the new Universe Legends figs for $9.99.

I picked up Wheelie and Warpath, but passed on Hot Rod. He's not really cool enough to fit in with my other Hot Rod figs. I also didn't have much interest in Cosmos.

They still have a lot of Universe Smokescreens as well.

I did notice there is a $10 price difference between Animated Skywarp and Starscream, kinda makes me feel like they're taking advantage of Skywarp's scarcity. That bothers me a bit. They also have a rather overpriced collection of TRU Reissues, but if you don't mind paying $59.99 a pop they do have a lot of them. The case is pretty full of some decently priced figures though, including Supreme Class Cybertron Starscream for $43.99, but I think he's missing accessories.

Metrotown TRU had 1 Universe Galvatron left, and a Cheetor, if anyone cares about Cheetor.

Oh yeah, and Superstore had 1 lonely Universe Sideswipe, which I would've bought if I hand't already ordered it from BBTS.

The Universe Deluxe figures were labeled as $8.92. All other deluxe figures were still labeled at $14.92.

Metropolis Toys and Comics has a bunch of stuff. In no particular order, Titanium BM Cheetor, Rodimus and War Within Prime/Megs, lots of Animated Voyagers, a number of commemorative figures, and exactly one Universe Hound and Cyclonus. They had two Cyclonus', but I snagged one. Nearly shattered my ankle going to the VanCity ATM @ the Save-On to get the money, too.

Also, the Sears Outlet store near Lougheed has a load of Universse Onslaugnts and Blasters for around $15, and Sunstreaker's for $10.

TRU on Montreal's south shore has restocked in a big way. all of Universe Deluxe Waves 3 and 4 were present. I nabbed a Hound.

They got one tiny case of wave 5 as well, and I mean tiny, because I literally saw one each of half of the deluxes: Dinobot and Smokescreen. One each, the former of which I took as well (apologies). There were two empty spaces near them, and I'm guessing they were occupied formerly by Hot Shot and Ratchet.

Not into Animated really, but I did see a Blurr there, which is something I've not seen anywhere abouts so far.

Hum, Maybe I should go check there this week. I've really no interest in Blaster but I might buy it just for Blockrock.
Maybe Johnny will give me a couple bucks of store credit for blaster.

Haney Books (the comic shop near where I live) got the latest Universe Deluxe wave. I picked up a Ratchet, so they have one left of that. They have two of the rest, though. (Hot Shot, Smokescreen and Dinobot.)

Should have posted yesterday but...

The metrotown RCSuperstore had a ton of Cyclonus, Hound, Starscream, B. Lockdown, Blurr and Swindle.

Might be worth your while to check the other locations aswell.

I have used Editor and/or some variation (Assemble-Edit, Optional Edit)for over a decade for most my sub-title, convention, and online idents. In the middle of all this A little unknown actor outside of England released Shawn of the Dad which I completely enjoyed. About the same time, he did a guest role on Doctor Who as "The Editor".

Thus if he can use my handle, I can use his image.

Actually it's funny to me because I have a friend who looks just like him and we joke about it all the time. He's also into TFs and lives around here so I thought there was a small chance you were him, but I think he would've recognized me, and he's also not 34 (if that's your real age).

Metropolis Comics & Toys is selling Ironhides for $34?

Yes, as good or sad as it is, I am legally 34. Wether or not I seem that age is dependant on the situation and who you talk to. (off hand I would say 75% of the people I hang out with are younger and between 18 to 30ish. My GF is 5 years 2 weeks younger)

I don't think I look like S.Pegg but saddly my hairline is starting to try and match his.

The main price for the hard to get universe items at Metropolis is $29.95 plus tax. Nasty but as stated before, Johnny can't afford to lose money like Spencer did trying to match TRU prices.
