I've yet to see any ROTF toys, but I haven't been looking. Cool to hear they're popping up anyway. I'm still reluctant to buy anything for fear of eventual premium releases... I was looking at a comparison gallery for ROTF leader Prime and it looks so much better. I really don't want to buy it after spending the money on the first one... but it looks so good.

Not too worried as I'm only looking at getting a few movie figures, and I doubt Ejector is in the first wave.
Once I ran an Anime festival with over 6,000 attendees. Now... not so much.

Red Dwarf FTW. Good thing Talkie Toaster didn't turn into a robot or they'd all have been strangled to death with the power cord for not wanting any toast.

They seem to have all of the first wave toys except the Preview figures, either they weren't out yet, or I missed them? I dunno. Slightly disappointing, I wanted a Soundwave, but it saves me $12 for now. They've got a healthy supply of the deluxes, TONS of scouts, and several of each leader. And all the other toys I don't really pay attention to.
Ejector is not included in this wave.
I was lucky enough to be able to pick out a nice Sideswipe and Sideways, checking for paint flaws at my leisure. What an awesome morning.
Edit: Oh, also looks like we're still stuck with the lame tri-lingual packaging, but at least they have different cards for Autobots & Decepticons. I don't mind having the specs on the back of the instructions anyway, it's kind of cool.

Waiting on a good review of Megatron before I pick him up (his little arm freaks me out
But for anyone in Ottawa, they're all there, and there's lots of them. Plus, with the deluxe/scout sale, there's almost no excuse NOT to go.

Mate, it's even worse on Nerf guns. EVERY one has a freaking "don't aim at eyes or face" sticker that doesn't peel off well and leaves a nasty residue.

If anyone's been to the Coquitlam or Metrotown Toys 'R Us' today, or the Lougheed Mall Wal-Mart (or anywhere else, for that matter; those three are the main places I'll be hitting tomorrow) today, and has seen the ROTF toys, let me know.

Yep, lighter fluid. Peel the sticker of as much as you can, dab a q-tip in that stuff, and the residue will rub right off, leaving a shiny, perfect surface. Just be careful on painted surfaces, don't rub too hard. It should come off easily anyway. Lighter fluid is very handy for restoring old sticker-worn G1s.

Lighter fluid can also be used to 'fix' awful figures.

Picked up a Sideswipe and Sideways, as expected. Then, in a moment of weakness, got Rampage, too. Will get a Demolishor on payday.

Wal-mart across from Namur metro station has the usual stuff in as well. No Fallen. But, $15.92 for Deluxes? Ouch. I passed, will stick to TRU for their sale for this week.

Not me, I didn't even know about it... no ride either, and I'm too broke anyway.
Darth Bombshell wrote:Just got back from my trip. Nothing @ Lougheed Town Wal-Mart, other than the preview figures and Robot Heros. Coquitlam Toys 'R Us, though, had the motherlode: all of wave 1 was there, including Leader Prime and Megs. Have no reason to believe Metrotown Toys 'R Us is any different.

Metro TRU was the same, except they were sold out of Leader Primes and Voyager Starscreams. No big loss, I found what I was looking for, they had several Soundwaves. Zellers also had a bunch of ROTF toys, but deluxes were $16.99. They also had some scouts I didn't see at TRU, Ransack being one of them.
Looks like I've got everything I need from this wave. I'll only get a Leader Prime if I see it on sale.

I saw the Universe Springer/Ratbat & Dirge/Roadbuster sets a few times before they disappeared...but that was Zellers and TRU tends to overstock stuff normally.
Should I worry? Are they still widely available?

I don't know if they're widely available, but the Brossard TRU has them on the shelf with boxed figures, and they seem to have a row or two of them. At $50 a pop, they don't seem to be moving much.

$50 for a pair of repaint figures? I don’t think you have anything to worry about.
