I've yet to see any ROTF toys, but I haven't been looking. Cool to hear they're popping up anyway. I'm still reluctant to buy anything for fear of eventual premium releases... I was looking at a comparison gallery for ROTF leader Prime and it looks so much better. I really don't want to buy it after spending the money on the first one... but it looks so good.

Re: Official Canadian Sightings Thread Ver 2.5
Cool to see we got them, but yeah, at that price you might as well go on eBay. I tried to get a loose Shockwave but it turned out to be easier and suprisingly cheaper to get an MISB set. So now I have two Activator Bumblebees, oh well.

Hopefully they'll have more Countdowns and have those on sale too.
Not too worried as I'm only looking at getting a few movie figures, and I doubt Ejector is in the first wave.

I'm really hoping that either Coquitlam or Metrotown TRU will have at least one Sideswipe and Sideways come this weekend.

Red Dwarf FTW. Good thing Talkie Toaster didn't turn into a robot or they'd all have been strangled to death with the power cord for not wanting any toast.

Re: Official Canadian Sightings Thread Ver 2.5
Guys, if you're unable to get your ROTF toys elsewhere, make your way to the Broadway TRU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I went there on my way to work this morning and they were still in the process of setting up a HUGE storefront display. This was my first time going on a release day for any line and I have to say that even though I'm not super excited for ROTF, it was extremely impressive to see such a huge display of case-fresh toys.
They seem to have all of the first wave toys except the Preview figures, either they weren't out yet, or I missed them? I dunno. Slightly disappointing, I wanted a Soundwave, but it saves me $12 for now. They've got a healthy supply of the deluxes, TONS of scouts, and several of each leader. And all the other toys I don't really pay attention to.
Ejector is not included in this wave.
I was lucky enough to be able to pick out a nice Sideswipe and Sideways, checking for paint flaws at my leisure. What an awesome morning.
Edit: Oh, also looks like we're still stuck with the lame tri-lingual packaging, but at least they have different cards for Autobots & Decepticons. I don't mind having the specs on the back of the instructions anyway, it's kind of cool.

Re: Official Canadian Sightings Thread Ver 2.5
St.-Laurent TRU in Ottawa has the whole display of ROTF stuff now. I picked up Leader Prime, Voyageur Starscream and Demolishor, Deluxe Sideswipe, Sideways, Rampage, and Breakaway, and all 6 scouts.
Waiting on a good review of Megatron before I pick him up (his little arm freaks me out
).
But for anyone in Ottawa, they're all there, and there's lots of them. Plus, with the deluxe/scout sale, there's almost no excuse NOT to go.

I have a question: How come all the new Leaders (since Animated) have big stickers warning about battery leakage? And an even better question: why are they in obvious places and impossible to peel off
?!?
Anyone figure out how to get these off without leaving a mark?

Mate, it's even worse on Nerf guns. EVERY one has a freaking "don't aim at eyes or face" sticker that doesn't peel off well and leaves a nasty residue.

If you're in Montreal, and willing to take a trip down to LaSalle, the TRU now has an array of figures utterly painful to look at if you're on a budget and have been highly anticipating ROTF.
I swore I wasn't going to buy any character I didn't already have from the first movie, but man, Bumblebee and Starscream make it tough. That said, I walked out with Sideswipe and Rampage...will return tomorrow after I'm done scraping my house for loose change...and on Thursday, after payday.
I've also got Soundwave...they've had him and 'Bee for a week, but that was it. I'd have reported earlier, but I've been busybusybusy

The Fallen isn't part of Wave One, is he? I can only afford to get the two figures I wanted to get back when Wal-Mart had them out (Sideswipe and Sideways).
If anyone's been to the Coquitlam or Metrotown Toys 'R Us' today, or the Lougheed Mall Wal-Mart (or anywhere else, for that matter; those three are the main places I'll be hitting tomorrow) today, and has seen the ROTF toys, let me know.

^ I may be going to Metrotown tomorrow, but if you don't find anything and want em really bad, come over to Broadway!
No sign of The Fallen, I'm afraid.
Yep, lighter fluid. Peel the sticker of as much as you can, dab a q-tip in that stuff, and the residue will rub right off, leaving a shiny, perfect surface. Just be careful on painted surfaces, don't rub too hard. It should come off easily anyway. Lighter fluid is very handy for restoring old sticker-worn G1s.

Just got back from my trip. Nothing @ Lougheed Town Wal-Mart, other than the preview figures and Robot Heros. Coquitlam Toys 'R Us, though, had the motherlode: all of wave 1 was there, including Leader Prime and Megs. Have no reason to believe Metrotown Toys 'R Us is any different.
Picked up a Sideswipe and Sideways, as expected. Then, in a moment of weakness, got Rampage, too. Will get a Demolishor on payday.

Re: Official Canadian Sightings Thread Ver 2.5
I was shopping with my dad when and was headed to the toy section of Wal-mart for the new figures, and they had arrived. They Leader Class Optimus, Megatron, Voyager Demolisher and Ironhide, Deluxe Rampage, Soundwave, Sideswipe, Bumblebee, and Sideways, And Scout class Rollbar, Dirt Boss, Knock Out and Dead End and a bunch of legend class figures. Wow run-on sentence... Now I only had $30 so I only Rampage and Soundwave... but I intend on going back tomorrow to get more.

I try to be around when I can, 1337.
Wal-mart across from Namur metro station has the usual stuff in as well. No Fallen. But, $15.92 for Deluxes? Ouch. I passed, will stick to TRU for their sale for this week.

Metro TRU was the same, except they were sold out of Leader Primes and Voyager Starscreams. No big loss, I found what I was looking for, they had several Soundwaves. Zellers also had a bunch of ROTF toys, but deluxes were $16.99. They also had some scouts I didn't see at TRU, Ransack being one of them.
Looks like I've got everything I need from this wave. I'll only get a Leader Prime if I see it on sale.

Quebecers - like with Animated, we're going to have hard time finding the Leaders because they speak only in English - even though it says so ON THE BOX in 3 LANGUAGES. My buddy spotted them at the Sears in the Champlain mall.

How well-stocked and popular is the Whirl/Bludgeon set? The more I see it the more I want it, but I can't afford it right now and I'm worried they'll sell out.
I saw the Universe Springer/Ratbat & Dirge/Roadbuster sets a few times before they disappeared...but that was Zellers and TRU tends to overstock stuff normally.
Should I worry? Are they still widely available?

I don't know if they're widely available, but the Brossard TRU has them on the shelf with boxed figures, and they seem to have a row or two of them. At $50 a pop, they don't seem to be moving much.

$50 for a pair of repaint figures? I don’t think you have anything to worry about.
