$50 for a pair of repaint figures? I don’t think you have anything to worry about.

1 $30 Voyager + 1 $15 Deluxe = $50?

Well, at least it's less excessive than the Animated 'Grapewave' pack:
1 $30 Voyager + 1 $10 Activator = $50?
You don't have to be Shockwave to know that it's illogical.

Alright, thanks guys. Come to think of it, that is pretty expensive... If I recall, they had the Blackout/Skorponok set last year for $10 less, which is the same combo of size classes... Also come to think of it, the Universe vs. sets were cheaper too... Yeah, $50 for a Voyager & Deluxe? I guess we're paying a $5 premium for the privelage of having them boxed together. What gives, Hasbro? Now I wonder if I should wait until they go on sale.

Yeah, but that’s not what I meant. I meant that, most normal people aren’t going to shell out $50 for a pair of repaints, so the chances of that set disappearing anytime soon are pretty small.

Most normal people won't know they're repaints or get the repaint concept. Unless we're talking about normal Transformers fans... in which case... there aren't any? Nah, I know a lot of people would go "meh, more repaints? No thanks." Which is good for me, I suppose. Good to know they're not going anywhere soon.

I know that I laughed at the price and the repainted figures when I saw them on the shelf. Then picked up Sideways, Sideswipe, Ransack and Depthcharge. Left the others (which were many) behind. Not much in the ROTF that I like.

Question for Torontonians: does the Silver Snail there have MP Grimlock? I'm making a trip down sometime next week for a job interview and was just wondering if he was available there.

I was in there a few weeks ago and I did not see him. There is a second production run in the works so you may get lucky to grab him cheaper than what he is being offered for in the near future.

Was at the TRU in Ottawa and saw that they had Wheelie, but no one else from that wave. Left him and picked up Megs instead.

Then came home and went to Walmart and found the wave 2 deluxes and voyagers, picking up Chromia, Skids, Wheelie, and The Fallen.

Sweet, thanks for the heads up! I'll see if I can make my way to Zellers soon. I've also been looking everywhere for the Super Soaker 50 20th Anniversary Edition, with no luck. Shoulda went the first day of the sale at TRU. XD

So is Ravage in wave 2 or later? He's one of the last deluxes I need, I think.

Yes, it is indeed a Legend. You have no idea how bad I want that water gun. :D

Alright, thanks. Looks like I can hold off looking for Ravage. Good thing too, I just spent more money than I should have at Robotkindgom...

I love the 50. My older brother had it, and it was godlike. He upgraded to 150 and the separate air-pressure chamber left me speechless. I think we still have the 50 kicking around the basement. I feel like mounting our Super Soaker and Nerf guns on the wall for the sheer awesome.

I had the XP40, and despite its colours and small size was a beast. The thing could shoot clear over my house. It was amazing. Then one day my little brother overpumped it and it couldn't take the pressure. The pumping valve broke.

So, he got a Super Soaker 30, I upgraded to the XP90 and never let him touch my guns again. B-)

Anyway, I hope you can find a Ravage before the sale ends, because it would suck having to pay full price for him. Especially since now 'full price' means 'a dollar or 2 more than regular price.'

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that either, exchanging a different figure. Seems like too much trouble just to save a couple bucks though. If I find Ravage I'll get him, if not, no biggie. lol, lame that sale price is now last year's regular price.

We had a lot less guns, my brother and I got 30s and our sister got the 50 later on, but other kids in the neighborhood had their share too, so there was always ample firepower for epic waterfights. Man, those were the days. We still have our guns I think, in varying degrees of working order, but we left them at our parents' house. I get really nostalgic about stuff like this (TF collector, nostalgic? NO WAI. lol), so when I saw they were re-releasing it, I decided I have to get it. It's not quite the same, they've made a few structural changes, but it would suit my purposes. :D

Alright, sorry about all that off-topic stuff.

I was at Walmart in Capilano Mall in North Van over the weekend, they had all the Wave 1 stuff, including a Starscream, but nothing new. Can't remember if I saw any Leaders. Hopefully Prime will get released again with Jetfire, because they seem to sell out very quickly.

Yeah, the new 50 has the modern Super Soaker logo on it, the green reservoir has an orange screw-open access point (rather than the green bottle being removable to easily hold down in a bucket filled with water for fast reloads), and it just looks smaller, too. Not sure how it stands up stats-wise.

And 'sale' pricing being last year's regular pricing is just awful. If you're looking for Scouts and they're not on sale, just buy them from Sears, where their regular price is still $9.99 instead of something ridiculous like $13.

I've read the new SS50 has comparable performance to the old-school one, plus a new type of valve less prone to leakage, or something. It's too bad about the non-removable bottle (which might be a bit smaller), but on the other hand it looks a bit more sturdy than the original.

So far I haven't been interested in any of the ROTF scouts, but Sears is definitely a good place to go because a lot of people don't think to check there, so they sometimes have stuff in stock that's sold out elsewhere. I also saw a ROTF Voyager Starscream there over the weekend, I believe.

I can understand why they changed the bottle design. I mean, modern 'Soakers don't use the bottles anymore, I don't think. Still, since it's a redesign and not just a straight-up reissue, it gives us more reason to get it!

So far, a lot show promise but end up being lame. If I had to recommend one, get the Baron. The little biplane guy is too awesome. I feel like rebuilding my 3D Puzzle Empire State Building, putting my Optimus Primal on it, and having him bat at the Baron, who'll be dangling from the ceiling on string.
