if they were at $25/$30 I would go for them, seeing I still don't have a movie BB, but anything more and i'm happy to leave them on the shelf.

Yup the price point on them make them just not worth it. CDN retailers should rethink it. He only costs $35 in the US. $30 would be a fairer price from the sound of what all of us have posted. I want that Sideswipe. $50 though. No way.

Yeah, gotta agree. I'm not collecting HA figures because they don't fit in with my collection scale-wise, but even if I was, I wouldn't pay that price for them.

I heard reports of Thrusts starting to show up at Walmarts, I think it was the Lougheed one.

I was there today. Didn't see anything. Then again, I don't think I looked hard enough.

Both local TRU's (Metro and Coquitlam) have loads of the Gathering of the Nemesis set.

That said I hit the Coquitlam TRU yesterday and they had a number of Hoist/Mixmaster packs in addition to the Nemesis packs.

I myself was at Metrotown over the weekend (girlfriend went to F21 lol...insanity), and didn't bother checking the Zellers, but TRU had a bunch of Nemesis sets and some HA Bumblebees, not to mention a decent supply of the G1 Reissues. Nothing else new, really.

Aside from the Black Micro Buggy!! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHAHGHGHGH. I was excited. Then my girlfriend got on my case for spending too much, so I have to wait and pick it up another day. Metropolis had a couple things in the case I was mildly interested in, but not enough to buy them yet. I took a long gaze at their Jetfire/Prime combo in the front window though, damn that is a fine-looking toy...

I know. It's bad enough I was thinking about getting them on the basis that I need Jetfire, and apparently need to get Prime too if I want to make Jetpower Optimus Prime. Seeing it live, though, you don't really appreciate how big the sucker really is.

I plan on getting Prime eventually, but I don't really care for Jetfire. That combo is just so badass though...

Anyway, sorry to double post, but I got a TRU newsletter in my inbox today, saying ROTF deluxes are buy one get one half off! I'll probably stop by after work, hopefully they'll have something I need. Still don't have a deluxe Dead End, I just need another figure to go with it... I suppose I'd be hoping too much for a Thrust, eh?

Finally got my Animated Shockwave and Skywarp from Walmart discounted with the TRU sale! I am in heaven! Walmart did not price match on the TRU buy 1 get 1 50% off deluxe sale though. Damn it

Speaking of TRU, I went to Broadway over the weekend. I saw:

Several G1 Reissues

And the usual, so I couldn't take advantage of the buy one get one 50% off sale, since there was only 1 deluxe I wanted (Dead End). I left it, and picked up my black Micro Buggy instead. Unfortunately I'm going to have to take it back, because I think I got one with a faulty battery.

Anyone hoping to pick one up at Lougheed WM better act fast, the vultures over at Cybertron.ca are snapping them up like...well, vultures. Mere hours after the sighting there, there's 12 left. Looks like I'll be SoL by the time I get there...

God, what a bunch of @!$%%#$!... each guy at Cybertron.ca who says he went to Lougheed TRU says he bought at least 3 of them. Selfish mofos, way to ruin it for everyone else. As of lastnight at closing time they say there were 8 left, and this morning some guy says he bought 3 of the last 4 and hid the last one.

I was going to go today and buy ONE for myself, but now I won't even bother unless they report more.
