Hey guys, some talk in the “Welcome to the Maximals” thread got me interested in my old AWC hobby: Keeping track of canon names and their availability.

So first, I'll start with a list of current Maximal canon names that are open for the taking:
Air Hammer
Armordillo
Artemis
Battle Unicorn
Big Convoy
Bighorn
Bigmos
Botanica
Break
Bump
Claw Jaw
Cohrada
Dillo
Drill Nuts
Geckobot
K-9 (Taken!)
Longrack
Magnaboss
Mach Kick
Night Viper
Ramulus
Rockbuster
Sharp Edge
Stampy
Tasmanian Kid

Note, I've not gone through all the toy-only and Japanese names yet, so there are more to come. I've also only been checking Maximal names.

Second, our own Dinobot has been willing to give away some of the show canon names currently under his care. I won't speak for him, but I'm sure if you ask nicely he may consider giving up one of the following (note: Don't ask about the Dinobot name, he's keeping that one and I don't blame him, easily one of the coolest show characters):
Optimus Primal (Taken!)
Tigerhawk
Quickstrike (I never realized there was a toy-only Maximal with this name, I always thought he was just a Pred)

Last, I am considering the possibility of giving up one of my canon names, and right now I'm leaning towards Cheetor. Problem with that is that since currently Omega Sentinel has a cloned version of him, I can't transfer him to someone else... So we'll have to see what's up when we get to v2 when I can have that cool sea turtle alt, so I can bring Ironshell back.

EDIT: Yeah, I completely forgot to mention it, and thank you to Yuro Ookami for doing it without being asked: Please inform me if you take one of the names on this list so I can update it. Thank you.

Ramulus should be available. I dropped him to add B'Boom to my team.

Heh... I hadn't added B'Boom back to the list cause I was still weighing my options on adding him back to my team.

But it's cool that you took him, leaves me free to look in other directions; I wasn't particularly impressed with the Nimble Land Animal class anyway.

Maybe I'll consider Ramulus, I actually own his figure.

Whenever I'm reading the Beast Wars comics, in my mind the characters always pause to snicker whenever his name is said aloud. XD

You won't have to worry about me taking up any of the canon names. I prefer my team to be all OCs.

I can't remember if Nightscream is a Maximal canon name or not. But, if anyone wants it, it should be available now.

I'm changing a few or all of my Bots names that won't be including Wolf. Leaving DeWolf and Bone Breaker X names alone.

If anyone's interested, I'm currently hanging onto the name Optimus Primal. I'd love to get rid of it and give the bot back his proper name, but I don't want to leave it open where the Cons (either side) could grab it.
