But before it starts: Let's brainstorm some strategy.
Here's some stuff I came up with (after I had already reformatted once... I may have to again)
Tell me what yinz think and what you disagree with &/or would add.
Strategy:Psych wrote:Splicer - Repair 50 times.
- Make a dedicated Medic with no other tactics other than maybe avoid as to reduce the amount of time your character does anything else.
- Because your job doesn't revolve around making kills with a certain tactic feel free to use high-end weaponry
- It could actually be advantageous to use little to no INT in your set-up. The idea being that the less damage you repair the more often you (and your teammates) will perform a repair... of course that doesn't help anyone if you're all dead so... a-hmm-ha
Strategy:Psych wrote:Scout - Avoid 50 times in missions where you survive at the end.
- This is the only position that requires survival. As such high endurance, strength, and a decent armor are essential.
- Because you need to survive you may want to wait until you find a mission where your side's survival seems assured.
- Speed (at least is theory) boosts Avoid so make sure you have a good deal of it.
- Avoid only works against un/armed attack, not against other tactics, so try to get yourself into missions where tactics are used less (ie low-mid level missions)
(these three are nearly the same)Psych wrote:Assault Trooper - Make 50 kills with Ram.
Artillery Unit - Make 50 kills with Strafe.
Vanguard - Make 50 kills with Bite.
Strategy:
- Like with Repair do NOT upgrade in any other tactics (except maybe avoid) to increase your chances of performing the desire action.
- Because you need your kills to be the result of tactic damage you may be better off using a weaker weapon than normal so that you don't accidentally kill your opponents with it.
- Invest heavily in your chosen tactic and it's feeder stat (STR for Ram & Bite, FRP for Strafe) before worrying about your other stats. Other than for defensive reasons (ie not getting hit as much) you can skimp on Speed as you don't want to be doing un/armed damage anyways.
