In the transformers movie, Hot Rod tells Daniel that he can see the shuttle land from Lookout Mountain. At first I took no notice of this, but then I started thinking that Hot Rod and Daniel were fishing in some river near this apparent "Lookout Mountain."

So I was like BAM! it has to be the Tennessee River in Chattanooga Tennessee. The Tennessee river is about a 5-minute drive up to the top of lookout mountatain

In this image you can see the river with lookout mountain in the background.

Anyhow the view from lookout mountain would have to be good in order to view the shuttle land. Here is a picture of one of the many viewing spots across the mountain.

You can easily see the shuttle. But the final piece of evidence came from tfwiki.net. I read the lookout mountain article and it said that the pop-up commentary during the movie's dvd release confirms it is Chattanooga. It also lists many of the sights you can see on lookout mountain in the article such as, Rock City and the ten-acre cornfield maze (yes, I live in the same town now) Here is a screenshot of the article. Even though they are many "Lookout Mountains" in the world very few have the mountainous terrain, valleys and rivers that the one in the movie posses. SO HERE IS THE BIG QUESTION, WHY BUILD AUTOBOT CITY HERE? My answer, due to TVA electrical power plants stationed across the Tennessee valley decepticons would more than likely come to harvest the many, nuclear, hydro and coal power plants in the area.

(Watts Bar Nuclear Plant located in the Tennessee Valley, I should know my dad works there)

(Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, my brother works there) other power plants are here too.

Any how the Autobots knew the decepticons would be drawn to the area so they built Autobot City here.

Real dam used to produce electricity.

Sherman Dam used to produce electrical power. Notice the mountainous terrain behind Optimus.

Therefore I conclude my article on Autobot City. Please state your thoughts about Autobot City being in my home Chattanooga, TN

Me tooo! I live in Dallas, Texas, so i've never been to Tennesee. Honestly, i wasn't paying attention to the location, i was too busy being horrified seeing my favorite characters killed in one shot. :sad:

I went up to Nashville a few months back. I really loved it. I hated to hear about all the water damage though... A great loss of so many musical items. :-(
