woosh, i see youve popped a quote of mine in your signature as thus 'a good toy is a good toy whether its G1 or animated, then again just what does make a good toy???? followed by an answer from a member as duuuh, fun.

well the whole idea of my question was to in fact question my own assumption of what a good toy is, this is in response to the many posts where assumptions are made with zero evidence/valid argument, so one has to at the very least justify ones position, ie i was at the very least leaving myself open to wonder what makes a good toy? it was a general question.

unless you have inside info you do not know if there will be tweaks, an assumption only.

I know that having all figures in scale is impossible, but come on.

Tf have hardly been known to be scale friendly. G1 as a consequence of its toy line origins gave us real size gun/microcassettes/walkman next to a trailer. BW gave us elephants little bigger than rats. Nostaligia hits hard when a minibot becomes a giant, powerglide looks to be a neat design on its own merits and thats what matters.

My jaw hit the floor when I saw these things. I love all five of these molds and I can't wait for them to hit stores. I really wish the release date was something like February 1 rather then August.

true but i've also seen protos been shown only to see the end product be different. Same with Paint jobs look at what we got for Ultra Magnus in classics.

I agree with you, Powerglide an A10 should have been a *perhaps* Jetfire sized toy. Now we have, as some one said, upgraded version that really looks very neat, I am waiting to see issue 19 so I can clear some expectations out.

I cannot imagine, at this stage, that we are going to see any design chagnes, even if it's minor tweaking. The most subtle of changes can affect the greater overal design of the whole figure, which would open a whole new can of worms and set back production.

That Hasbro article sounded pretty definitive as to how these figures will look and transform. The only thing left to decide is the color scheme and packaging, methinks.

No one's arguing that scale can ever be made accurate within these lines of figures, especially concerning alt modes...
But a lot of times, the bot modes weren't THIS grossly out of proportion.
Again, this version of Powerglide is definitely cool, but obviously could've been pulled-off at the Deluxe size.
Yeah, it's awesome that he looks good on his own,
but it still kinda sucks that he's going to be bigger than Prime, Megatron, Soundwave, etc. in bot mode.

I would assume Ultra is bigger, although I'm totally guessing.
My question is,
is Leader class bigger than Ultra
????

Voyager -> Ultra -> Leader

So that means that Powerglide is big guy!!... actually taller than Classic Jet Fire, Prime and Megatron

That's what I call an upgrade to the maximum

I got my new TF Club mag today. The Classics look real impressive in their respective color schemes, even Powerglide who is more silver than red.

What did everyone think of the assembled Seacon pic BTW?

Imagine, the unassuming Powerglide (name, that is) being the biggest and most powerful Autobot of the Classics series.

I'd take those fine pics down before you get in trouble mate. No doubt someone will squeal to the powers, and you'll be in serious doodoo.

For your sake, take them down quick!

Thanks for sharing!!!!

Really diggin' the completed/painted look of Tankor and Sunstreaker.
Prowl looks pretty good too.
I'm not really feelin' the way Onslaught's head/face has been painted, and wish he didn't have those gold sections either.
But I'll still get him for sure.
I'm still unsure about powerglide... Maybe I'll take that money and put it towards getting 2 of the others.

It may be seem a bit pointless now, but I think enough people have been banned for silly things.

Doesn't bother me either way, but I think Seibertron.com is still obligated by tf collectors club not to let these images out. I don't know for sure...

Told you someone would call a mod. People are extremely touchy of the tf club.

Has nothing to do with the club, despite what people may think. Just like with movie, game, and music piracy, copy written printed material being shared illegally is still against the rules of this forum.

Oh, I rarely post here and didn't see any watermarks on the pics so I assumed it was ok. I found the images on a non-TF forum so I thought they were ok to post. I'll keep this in mind next time I post pics. Sorry!
