I wonder what Onslaught's final colours will be? in the mag cover pic he's police blue but inside the mag he has got his G1 dark green and olive paint.

The latter looks much better and helps a great deal to make it sream "Onslaught"!

Powerglide's alt mode looks heaps better painted(love the orange windows)... the bot mode colour is still abit close to Jetfire, they need to add more red to the bot mode.

Powerglide & Onslaught look amazing anyway, they're two of the coolest TF's I've ever seen - I don't care the price, they will be mine.

Really diggin' the completed/painted look of Tankor and Sunstreaker.
Prowl looks pretty good too.
I'm not really feelin' the way Onslaught's head/face has been painted, and wish he didn't have those gold sections either.
But I'll still get him for sure.
I'm still unsure about powerglide... Maybe I'll take that money and put it towards getting 2 of the others.

After reading this thread I've had a few good chuckles. Being a TF fan and collector myself I'm always facinated at how our excitement for something spurns so much specualtion. I thought nothing more than this has been confirmed for Classics 2.0

Octane (now Tankor  )
Sunstreaker
Prowl
Powerglide (previously unannounced)
Onslaught (previously unannounced)

I don't know the official word on this but recalling what Hasbro said at Botcon last year there were very few figures that they confirmed for Classics 2.0. If my memory is accurate I think they had two categories on all of the possible figures for Classics 2.0

Planned:
Sideswipe
Sunstreaker
Octane

Possible:
Galvatron (new mold)
Magnus (new mold)
Jazz
Prowl / Smokescreen / Bluestreak
Ratchet / Ironhide
Unspecified combiner

I don't recall Hasbro mentioning the other Combaticons. But I do recall Hasbro stating that they had no intentions of having the same character in Universe & Animated simultaneously. So we should not really count on seeing more Dinobots or a new mold Ultra Magnus. However, Hasbro is contradicting that same statement with the wave 1 Prowl release scheduled for Universe. I guess in reality anything is possible since we know Hasbro doesn't tell us fans everything they are thinking. Hell, Prowl went from possibility to reality since Botcon. It's probably safe to say that the rest of the combaticons, a new mold Magnus or more Dinobots aren't an impossible dream.

Hasbro sells toys and will always be concerned about the bottom line, what sells. So naturally Hasbro creating molds that lend themselves to repaints shouldn't suprise us. Besides, I think Hasbro was just thinking out loud at Botcon last year when they were throwing out possible characters they might do in Classics.

Dunnow if they WILL do that, but that excuse is nieve and incorect.

Anyway, Im gonna try and refraim from voicing my views about the whole classics seekers bull ****, cuase quite frankly those lucky few who did live in the right country/have enough money to get em tend to piss me off no end with thier 'Thou shalt not have seekers' attitude.

Ouch! That's kind of harsh Redimus. If that is the way I sounded in my post I apologize because that is not the message I was trying to get across.

Frankly I'd love for all of us fans to have been able to complete the Classics seekers but it just didn't happen that way. I really didn't care for the high price and exclusive nature of those remaining seekers either but I wanted them bad enough so I grudgingly coughed up the dough to get them.

As I understand it the Botcon set was even more expensive for those of you across the pond than it was for me being that I live in the US. As a fellow collector and Seibertronian that could only stand by and watch that happen I'm sorry and I hope you're able to get them someday at reasonable price. :|

Well, keeping in mind that following waves after the first one usually introduce a smaller number of new molds and that Hasbro has thrown us a suprise with Powerglide and Onslaught I would guess the following for Wave 2;

Sideswipe (slight retool)
Silverstreak (repaint)
Galvatron (new mold)

Basically two new Deluxes and one new Ultra to the assortments.

If I'm right about this then it prolongs the life of the Classics line as long as they have many more figures planned and in the pipeline. Keep in mind that at Botcon last year they mentioned many possible characters they'd like to give a Classics treatment to. So it cetainly doesn't rule out Jazz, Ratchet/Ironhide, a new mold Ultra Magnus, a Classics combiner. All of which was mentioned last year as possible figures for the line. And we'll probably hear more info at this year's Botcon so that we aren't guessing blindly as to future figures for the line.

Hmmmm, my last reply in this topic didn't post...

I hope there's more Decepticons in the works along with Galvatron.
The Autobot characters are gettin' a lot of love.
Although I'd be good with gettin' a new Snarl and Sludge.

I have a feeling if there is a combiner released, it will be the Stunticons, or the Aerialbots.
Both would allow Hasbro to make "udpated" versions of all of those characters.

Mmmmm, Classics Stunticons. Now that would be some gesalt goodness right there. =P~

Being that I got the Walmart Classics Devastator and the Games of Deception set my Autobots are in great need of filling their ranks. So the higher ratio of Autobots works for me.

However, since I know there are MANY people that didn't get the Games of Deception set due to exclusivity and price so I would agree that giving the Decepticons much love in the form of more Classics figures would be nice of Hasbro to do.

well even so there have always been more autobots than decepticons from the 84 and 85 toy lines.

If they could find a way to do a good Classics version of Soundwave and his crew then you'd see the number even out some.

Not having the insecticons and all of the constructicons hurts the decepticon ranks.

I could do without that.

We already have one. Let's get something new. There are too many other worthy characters to have a chance at. Yet another rehash would be more disappointing than any issue people might have with Classics Dev.

That's why Defensor deserves the spot. The bots need a combiner to fight Devastator, and Defensor has hardly received any love.

1. I hope that thrash "Menasor" is not out there in the market as part of the Classics line, the mold always sucked

2. Rather having COMPUTRON or MENASOR any giving day than Defensor, but please NO REPAINTS if any

OK... Defensor is now in my list of love ones..

Indeed Protectobots are very cool, but are there any major gestalt planned? or redesigned Devastator at least?
