it's not worth it. why give support for the repaint of a mold that was not even that impressive to begin with? i really wish not many people would buy this set so that hasbro would stop making repaints of mediocre toys. repaints of really really good toys maybe, but not this one.

At $20, that would only be $4 a figure. $30 is still a steal. You're basically buying the 4 basic figures and getting the deluxe figure for free almost.

Not everyone agrees with your opinion obviously. I happen to like that combiner and all his separate figures very much. Moreso than any of the other Energon combiners. I also happen to really like the fact that the set is in the colors I originally wanted for these guys. If you don't like it, don't get it. Why waste the energy in complaining. Here's the facts, repaints are where the easy money lies and Hasbro certainly want to make money and profit from the brand. Don't like that? Well, too bad. It's happening anyway and people are gonna buy it.

i as a kitbasher think this is a great deal considering the rarity of the figs now.$30 for 4 basics and a deluxe is a great price.plus not every retailer will have it at 30.walmart's are notorious for price changes from store to store.so one might have it for 30 but others might have it for 20 or inbetween that.on the downside;it could possibly be more.

repaints or not, I am a completist and I love combiners, I will get this set. THought I do agree that repaints can suck. Also I thought the classics line was supposed to be all new molds?

And on a seperate note, what will those do that hate repaints, when the movie toys are released? You know damned well that everyone of those will be repainted at least 5 times for every new TF line after the movie.

I can see where Sparkofchaos is coming from, you know, stop the monster in its tracks. That would be fine and dandy if Hasbro depended on collectors for their profits, but alas they don't. Near all of their funds are driven from parents with eager kids. While it would be nice to see fewer repaints, boycotting a few would solve the problem...give in...

It was already in walmart, it just said "energon" on the card and not classic. God I hated this one, why do all the crappy ones get redone 8 times? I mean, we can't get another JRX team, but we get 3 incarnations of Landfill?!?!

I know none of you give a flying ^*$%&^$ about the rest of us (I was told to set myself on fire for liking Energon Ironhide...nice, thanks @$$ho**), and you could probably care less if all your complaining keeps those of us who want it from getting it, but just shut the *^*(&^%* up already, or we're going to piss & moan about a figure all of you want, just make sure you never see it.

I would have been sold at 40 had it been a completely new mold as the rest of the Classics were. At the moment, I reserve further comment.

Finally, I've been hittin' Walmart every weak for over a month looking for this. Constructicon Maximus was my favorite E gestalt, Devastator is my all time favorite combiner, so yeah, I really want this. $30 is a good price too, considering you get 4 basics and a deluxe. And the paint job is about spot-on for G1 Devastator, so this is a win in my book.

You are correct sir, that indeed is the Devastator everyone is talking about. He may only be a five part gestalt, but an amazing one none the less. Plus for the price, it's really a steal. Especially for those that couldn't find it during Energon.

By the way, Welcome to Seibertron! I'll save the nuts part for someone else and use my own tag line.

And we'll all be laughing our asses off when you buy it, realize what a crappy ass figure it is and a rip off at 30.00, and didn't listen to those of us who made the original mistake of buying it, because at least we didn't know any better. So what's gonna be YOUR excuse?
