[quote="Optimist_Prime"]Ok, Please give your secret. How did you get get such a smooth paint job? And how did you tape or block off the scupted decepticon sign on his chest? I've been wanting to repaint my classic megs, but I'm not sure how to tackle it.
The paintjob: Plastic Primer -> Tamiya USAF Light Gray -> Gloss-coat.
- NEVER apply heavy coats. Multiple thin coats is key.
- Let Primer fully cure before painting on. Let color layer (in this case the USAF light gray) fully cure before gloss-coating.
Masking: Masking tape and an Exacto-knife (and a steady hand and a lot of patience)

I cut multiple small pieces of masking tape to cover the 'con symbol. I did the same thing for the face.[/b]
