yeah it was taken. I set it down at the TFW dealer table just about 15 minutes before BC was announced closed to help Rik Alvarez carry his massive haul to his car. by the time that was done I'd forgotten to go back and grab the box. Asking everyone I could, even BC Staff, I still never saw it again. All I have are my pictures.

I guess since I'm here I should update you all. I AM still working on this thing. Wildrider only needs a rubsign. Breakdown needs a rubsign and some touch-ups. Motormaster needs a rubsign. Dragstrip needs his red stripes and a rubsign. Deadend needs a rubsign, and I had some bleeding when I striped him today so I'll have to fix them tomorrow. After that, Its just modifying the trailer, and having a sticker made for it!

well everyone is down to just needing a rubsign, except for breakdown. He needed touchups on top and bottom of the carmode, and I did the top today so will finish him tomorrow. Clearcoating through the weekend, expect to start seeing pictures of the individual alt modes as early as Monday

yep, in the sig, but here's the link to the thread, which'll have other shots, including the truck mode. Wasn't heavily modified, just a head swap and I did the leg mod so they extended all the way out, but I must say the leg mod makes such a huge difference to the way the robot mode looks in comparisson to factory that its truly a shame it wasn't sold that way!

In case you're wondering why there's blue on the hood of the car(the hood scoop), its a slight sacrifice to the Alt mode to further the homage through the 'bot mode.

Not bad, but shouldn't the hod be more redish orange, not gold? I can't wait to see the robot mode.

I was wondering the same thing as Tramp. The painting does look pretty good overall though.

sure, if I could afford it. *L* But I can make two arguments, one is that its Classics, not G1, so I can take minor liberties and still conform to the line. Two is that I've sunk nearly $250 into supplies for this project (that means bots/parts/paint NOT labor) and that's well more than I SHOULD be spending on TFs right now, so I made do with this orange that I got for something else. I think it still looks good even if its not exactly the right shade.

That's some really nice work,and who knows,maybe someday you'll have some red paint left,and decide to redo his hood anyway. you could also just have wiped off the flame patterns,i found out that details that were PAINTED on can be removed with some brasso.

I removed all the paint aps before I did anything to the figures at all *L* I wanted the paint to be as thin as possible to reduce wear, maximize molded detail, and not risk having the original aps showing through like it was molded in. I'll have Deadend to show Thursday.

Those stripes must have been tough, but they look pretty clean. What purple did you use there? I still a while away from finishing my dead end, but I'd use that colour.

Looking excellent so far. I love what you did to Breakdown's spoiler, and Dead End's stripes are really cleanly done. I can't wait to see Wildrider myself; he was always my favourite.

The stripes were a pretty big pain! *L* The color was Krylon Fusion Satin Burgundy.

Robot modes will get here, but to be frank, I'm going down the line with all the Alt modes first, to buy time to get the trailer set to open/close and for the sticker for it to get here, which'll mean doing MM's alt mode as well as a nice group shot of all of them before showing you the robot modes and then finally the combined mode.

This was looking good just in the assembly portion. Seeing everything beginning to get painted REALLY makes it look cool. I honestly can't wait to see everything assembled once it's in color.

And Menasor's head is perfect. You know exactly who he is just from that. (Yeah, if the multiple car limbs didn't give him away )

I did want to ask about the Downshift body--what is the head that you eventually went with? I want to say it's one of the Cyb. Hot Shot heads, but I'm not so sure.

well, here's pics of Wildrider. I was going to post them last night, but I took an involuntary nap on the couch :lol

He's got by far the most heavily modified alt-mode of the bunch. There's pegs on the roof that allow him to connect to Motormaster's arms for the combiner mode, and to allow for a greater range of articulation in arm-mode, I cut the cab and epoxied a small hinge inside the roof piece so that you can fold the rear portion back some. It wasn't necessary, but He'll be able to bend his elbow a long further whenever its rotated across the torso in Menasor form this way. I also added a peg under the roof piece, that lets it actually peg to Wildrider's back in his robot mode, because otherwise when in Arm-mode, he'd be all flip-floppy, and I couldn't have that!

Oh yeah, There's also a hole drilled in the center of the rear-end, half the hole is on each shin, for connecting Menasor's Hands. As for his head, the FACE is from Cybertron Hotshot. The rest is Downshift's head. I sanded down those transparent "ears" so they were more appropriately pointed, ground the face way way down, and transplanted the face, using some Apoxie Sculpt to help blend it all together. I also did the head and waist mods for articulation's sake, and put that folding flap behind the head(fits under the engine piece quite nicely in car form) to hold the head down when in Arm-mode.
