Classics Thrust FINISHED
Well I was bored tonight and decided to finish him up. Overall, I'm pleased with the way he came out. As you can see, I caved on the idea of his wings on his legs. Yes, it was more toon accurate, but thanks to mass shifting, I couldn't get it to look right. The shoulders came out just as well. No faction symbols yet, I'm going to put some on, just not sure where. I think they are supposed to be on his turbofan housings.
If you read the WIP thread, you'll know I was using mostly vinly dye on him. The red is Mar-Hyde Flame Red and the black is Mar-Hyde Jet Black. While I like the colors, I was having some serious issues with the denser plastic pieces. They just didn't want to take, I don't know if this was from a different batch of plastic or if the temp in my basement had anything to do with it. All I know is that it was annoying.
The wings were a pain to work with. They look cool, but where the main wing mounts to the old Ramjet upper wing thingys was really hard to keep together. He has to be transformed with the utmost care. I must have broke the wings (front and rear) about 8 times while working with him and not paying attention. There is a pic at the end that shows a splice I added to beef up the wings. Its on the bottom so you can't notice it anyways. You'll also see the dye not taking to where the wing pops into the body.
I might add a few other details here and there, but I like to keep it simple like my other seekers.
Enough jibba jabba, hope you like him.

Boggs, if you really want to strngthen the wings, you should put the supports inside the wings, not on the outside. Drill a hole in each piece where they are going to be joined, making sure they line up, and insert a metal rod into the hole on one piece, glue it in place, then apply some glue to the other and fit them together with the other end of the pin fitting in the hole in the other piece. That wills create a much stronger bond. Do that with both wings.
