Classics Ultimate Battle 2-Pack Megatron to Get a Single Release
Did you pass on the Transformers Classics Optimus Prime Vs. Megatron Ultimate Battle 2-pack because you did not like the Optimus Prime figure. Well you may get your chance of still picking up Megatron without having to get stuck with a second figure you do not like. An image of a single carded Megatron from the Ultimate Battle 2-pack has surfaced on Actoys.net. The packaging appears to be international styled, not the same type of packaging used for figures released in North American. Click here to check it out.

No, I passed because both figures made me nauseous.

If i had known this I would have waited. Action punch Optimus sucks. Now just give this Megatron a right hand and it will be fine.

If they'd slap a hand on that dude done deal. Still i cant let that no hand on the gimmic arm slide, like the non telascoping legs on the prime. they work that hard to get that close and just mail it in just shy of a job well done.
It's a shame.
It's a shame.

Well, he is a good figure, and Hasbro does love their reissues, so OK.
I already have 2 (one opened one boxed) so I'll pass on this, but rest assured Prime will stand alone soon too.

I like it. I'm not sorry I bought the two-pack at all. I'm with those who hated the Prime from the two-pack though. If Prime gets single-carded like this, I hope to God the waist gets remoulded. On first look the figure doesn't suck. What kills it for me is the fact that it comes apart on me so easily when I'm playing with it. I like that "some parts are made to detach or separate if excessive force is applied," as my instructions to Rodimus reads. It's just that in the case of Ultimate Battle Prime, this is too much of a good thing not to become a bad thing.
Liege is right though. You can bet yer bottom dollar if Meg's getting single-carded, Prime is too. How much you wanna bet they're not gonna remould the waist so it doesn't come apart so easily?

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

It'd be nice if it came through the States, but I doubt it will. Still, it has to show up as a repaint eventually, which is fine by me b/c that isn't the worlds best paint job.

I personally really liked the Prime out of the two pack. A lot of people complained about the upper torso being weak and floppy. But if you pull the trigger that spins the upper torso out until you hear a click it locks into place. Makes for a much nicer figure.
If this is an american release then I'm assuming we can see the same for Prime, Skywarp and Ultra Magnus as a wave four.
Does hasbro do Japanese exclusives?

That's another problem I have with UB Prime. I'm gonna have to try that tip.

I think it makes it a much better figure. It looks great next to Hotrod. But don't thank me, thank Maywire or Azura or what ever the hell she's calling herself nowadays.

Well who ever figures it out, thank you. It makes a big difference in the quality of the Prime.

I wouldn't mind if there was a wave 4. I'm sure I've asked before if there was other new stuff besides what we know about. To pick some stuff I'd like to see, Arcee; the Seacons; cassettes packed like a mini-con team to go with Soundwave (my picks would be either Rat-Bat, Rumble and Frenzy or the Kiss Players as Decepticons without the CD); and Springer to have an Autobot triple-changer to oppose Astrotrain. I can come up with a bunch more, but this is supposed to be a filler line between Cybertron and the movie, right?
Devastator and Soundwave haven't shipped yet (which could count as a wave 4 at this rate dispite being exclusives), but as long as we have till the movie I think there should be at least 1 more wave besides that.....
Just my opinion for whatever my two bits are worth.

I doubt that it is, goven its international-style packcaging, but if it does see realse in th US, than to go with it... Prime, maybe. Magnus and Skywarp, though, no. Hasbro wouldn't risk ticking off Target by mass-distributing an exclusive like that.

Thanks, Down Shift. I just tried it, and it works just prime (no pun intended).

Doesn't fix my problem with the waist when I'm transforming the figure; I've got to admit however that it's every bit as much me as it is how tight the piece that comes off is.

Target had exclusive sales of a two pack, not of the individual figures. If Hasbro wanted to, they could release the single figures tomorrow. Im sure they have good enough lawyers to handle anything like that anyways

Haha, I just bought this set today. I finally broke down and bought it. But it was the Prime I wanted and not the megatron. I personally like the look of this prime more than classics prime. It looks more traditional g1. I don't play with my toys so it makes no difference to me if he's floppy. The only thing I don't care for is the weak transformation, his alt mode sucks. But eh, better than nothing.

Got the two pack. No need to get this one.

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!
