I picked all three of these up today from Toys'r'us.
The Dirt Digger Team are great. Not a duff one in the bunch. Grindor's front wheels may pop off if you're not careful, but other than that he's a novel design and quite fun. Dirt Rocket is better than any transforming motorcycle that size has any right to be, AND it stands up in bike mode. Oil Slick is ten gallons of awesomeness in a five gallon jug.
Clear Skies manages to go from the sublime to the ridiculous all in one neat package. Steel Wind is a fantastic, intricate wee figure with a great vehicle mode. Thunderwing is cleverly designed, but nothing to write home about. Nightscream is just tragic. Those who've read a few of my posts will notice I'm a pretty optimistic kinda guy and I try to see the good in everything, but... okay, okay. He looks okay in dragon mode and his wings and jaw are articulated. Very neat. Just don't transform it. Ever.
The Predator Attack team are patchy. Dreadwing has a very pretty bird mode but robot mode is a bit poor looking and articulation is limited. The bird head sticking out of his crotch is also disturbing. Snarl has a genuinely fantastic tiger mode and a genuinely terrible robot mode. He is, however, exactly the right size for another Minicon (or a Galactic/Marvel/Robot Heroes figure) to ride him like Battlecat. Overbite is pretty good, but he has trouble standing up in robot mode without careful angling of the knees. Bigger feet would have helped no end.
It's worth mentioning that paint apps on these guys are pretty good throughout. Except on Dreadwing. Bad enough he's got a falcon-head-wang, but then they went and painted it RED. Egad, Brain.
