Though, a KO of a 3rd Party toy is still a stolen design in my opinion from the designers, which saddens me enough to not want to buy it.

I can dig 3rd Party even though Hasbro dislikes it because they normally are the companies' own takes on Hasbro's characters, whereas KOs are just stolen designs.

And companies like Wei Jiang also who do some awesome 3rd Party Masterpiece movie esc toys, also do upscaled KOs and steal designs, and I have a hard time supporting those companies as well.

Edit: If someone did a KO of the CW Constructicons in the deluxe scale they would be very tempting though.

You know, I've had a decent experience with KO. It really can be hit or miss, but if it's something I missed out on initially (like Battle Blades Bumblebee) I can't see paying the going rate NOW for a figure that initially cost $15. What am I trying to prove?! It's madness. By buying that KO BBB I was able to take the money I saved and buy some bots off of a friend. That's a win.

its also a win win when you getone of the kos that are high quality and the straight up mp kos with extra stuff and improvements to the mold.

Why not?! Again, for me, what do I have to prove? Maybe it's a shift in my priorities, but if I can't find a figure for the initial cost (or I just want that figure and don't have the coin) I'll buy the KO as long as the quality checks out. That's how I ended up with MP18B and an extra MP21, specifically for an extra ExoSuit. No way I was gonna pay full price when I just wanted the extra part or a different color. That's me though. There was a time 3rd Party and KO didn't even blip on my radar.

im done getting cheated by takara and getting the shaft from them all the time. the only mps ill be buying official are the mpms and only because hasbro is taking part in that.

There is on BIG problem with these KOS and that is their size. I mean, they are cool but I am running out of space. And one of them takes up half of a bin.
its prety cool though that for once in this hobby what limits you is the space and not the money.

I get 3rd Party and stuff, but I don't see the point of going for those molds at all if you don't like the design changes like you said before, and you could spend that money on 3rd party or KOs of 3rd party instead. I mean, I mostly just feel bad for HasTak here. Plus, it's pretty much as close as you can get to stealing without actually stealing, and it just feels wrong.

Let's just say Takara would definitely not pick you first for a TF related job. :-P

i want their grapple and a silver recolor of their megs. pait chipping. no thanks im not into that on my collector toys . dont even get me started on the price. i shouldnt be paying for things that are gonna chip and break for that much. its a money grab from takara. i dont ;like how they changed design aesthetics in the middle of the line but some i would but sice they have enough detail and are not big enough for me to care. im gonna have 3 mp megs and one will be a mp-36 ko thats gonna blow the official out of the water. the last straw for me was the quality taking a stead downhill decrease

The whole paint chipping thing seems to be relegated to just a couple early reports; both of which admit that those were through fault of their own. If you get MP-36 it shouldn't be too much of a worry.

that was the breakage. in the tfw 36 thread everyone has had paint chipping and somehow its okay for that to happen. plus theres the price which insures i wont be touching 36 with a ten foot pole.
