I though they OS things because its easier to reverse engineer. Since they dont have the actual molds, they have to replicate them and replicating is much easier if you blow it up. Like that you can tell how the mechanisms in the transformation work more easily and you dont have to be as minute.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

I don't know guys, I think it maybe a legal loophole of some kind. But, who knows. I'm not sure China needs loopholes. I think these companies are some how getting a hold of the original CAD files. I have compared Big Rook to the original top to bottom, head to toe. He is an exact replica down to the very last detail. I think they get these CAD files and just, zwooooooop! Scale 'em up. Cut a new mold.
Edit: Every detail. Including Rook's loose hips.![]()

Not quite, I was saying that buying a KO, 3P or even Takara are the all the same as not buying Hasbro. No matter which other you buy, the retailers still sees an unpurchased figure on the shelf/peg. They are many shades of grey.itscramtastic wrote:There, found it! And quoted!! So..that was in reference to buying multiples of something?carytheone wrote:...double down...
Yeah, it'd be just as easy/hard to reverse engineer at any size. The KO's are so perfect they have to be getting their hands on the CAD files. I don't think even 3D scans can be this good. I used to figure the different size was trying to avoid TM issues, but China has a different rule set then the US. I'm sticking to forcing brand loyalty. Like Bod said the OS MP10 doesn't scale with squat except OS KO MP figures. OS seems to be the norm in the land of KO.Cobotron wrote:william-james88 wrote:carytheone wrote:I'm not a fan of the whole OS thing except for where it makes the figure scale better, but I think I figured it out. Word. I hear you. If I buy the Takara MP of a figure and it then gets released in the U.S. via Hasbro and I don't buy it, same thing. Like with Apollyon! I bought him, not buying MP Megatron. +1 Zing.carytheone wrote:Not quite, I was saying that buying a KO, 3P or even Takara are the all the same as not buying Hasbro. Can't go Wrong with IF and if you wait long enough you can double dip with a KO of a 3P figure

I need an IF Nautica, but I also need an MMC Nautica. Basically I need a Nautica that isn't the TR one. Also I need free shipping for my TFSource stack so I'm adding IF Arcee. You're partly to blame Cobs.![]()
I've been thinking about it but then Thew had the IF haul and the Collectotron is ripe with Legends talk so I caved.

Has it been KO'd? Any other good KO 3ps out there that arent OS? Really loved Walthertron.
Also, I clicked and this would easily go on one of my worst alt mode lists if it was an official toy
They're not even trying.
