FansProject WB008 Trinix AlphaHOLY CRAP! Where do I start? This toy is AMAZEFACE! It's like Takara Dia-Battles made it with a Cybertron toy and had three little weird babies. This is one of the most solidly built figures I've bought in a long time. The plastic is wonderful. So heavy and sturdy. Anybody familiar with the plastic Playmobil uses? It's that good. Survive-the-play-of-a-preschooler good. Oh and his ratchets could wake a hibernating bear.
But aside from the construction, the design and engineering is also fantastic. So this is FansProject's homage to Diaclone Diabattles. It's a pretty loose homage in that it also kind of homages Powermasters too. all that added up equals a 3P toy that, in the end is almost just an original idea. And that's what I like most about it. It doesn't serve to fill a hole in my collection, or slavishly rip off some preexisting TF character. Instead it just becomes a really good robot toy.
Love this head sculpt.

Now robot shots of super cool awesome extra roboty action poses!

Pound the ground! 'Cause I never pound the ground.

Here he is with his cousin. BTW he's huge! Diabattles isn't really that big but Trinix is about a half inch shorter than the currant TF Leader toys.
You can see how he starts to homage Dia-B, but aesthetically he pulls a little harder from the OG Diaclone toy.

Now say hello to his little friends.

So what are they? Engines? Super upgrade power units? Varying skill set enhancing brain moduals? I dunno, but I'll figure it out.

They are pretty neat little guys. They share the same transformation, but are retooled enough to be totally different dudes.
Balthasar, Melchior, and GasperSo in a review I watched, I think I remember that they were named after the Three Kings of Orient. You know from the Holly Bibble? I'm not sure where the reviewer got that because nowhere on the box or instructions does it say that. I like it though. 'Cause those are some great names!
ALT MODES!

I freaking love a futuristic sci-fi motortrike. Everytime!

Col' lampin'!

Oh! Do you like my guns?
All three are really fun little vehicles. Each one has a really nice and different way of securing the pilot into their seat. They all tab together really well, and make some solid little battle rollers that are fun to zoom-zoom pew-pew all over the place.

Did I mention how nice the chrome on him is? They chromed over plastic that has a nice little texture to it, that I'm sure will help the chrome stay on.
I'm really excited for this guy. I just love his design and he's a ton-o-fun.
I love this play pattern.
To any of you more 3P savoy O-Tron subscribers: Are all FansProjects toys this good? I've always liked there designs. I just couldn't, for whatever reason, pull the trigger on buying any.
This could be the beginning of a deep dark rabbit hole for me. He's not the only one in this Powermaster-esque Warbot series either. The others look pretty dope pants too.
