Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

I've got two sets so far and need a couple more. I don't know who makes them, but the same swords came with Maketoys Battle Tankers except they were painted flat silver while these are chromed. And I know Drift is only supposed to have one sword, but he looks so kick-ass with a pairD-Maximus_Primal wrote:Yet something else to watch....
Well, I think, no. I'm skipping most of the Combiner Wars stuff coming this year. No Vicki. I'm still on the fence about G2 Menasor, but the other G2s are out. Computron is a big question mark. There are no Platinum releases that I'm after this year so far. And a lot of RID toys I won't get.william-james88 wrote:I'm curious Cobo, are you planning on buying every TF toy that comes to retail? And have you purchased all of last year's toys?

Cobotron wrote: Definitely no plans at the moment for Fort Max.
Cobotron wrote:You're all thinking WHAT!?!?! No Primal?!?!
That's right. No Primal for me.
william-james88 wrote:Pff, this is cobotron we are talking about. He loves Beast Wars and has spent his money on lesser toys before (cough Ironhide cough cough cough), he will give in to the beauty that is Primal. He's a smart man, he knows it will be best to buy from aiami now instead of paying the consequences 2 years from now and buy him at double the value.

I also don't like the standing gorilla position.
Cobotron wrote:I thought of a great analogy for MP Primal.
It's like if I really really really love my dog, and while I'm out of town, and you are taking care of him, he dies. Instead of telling me the truth, you run out and buy a dog the same age, breed, with near identical markings and try to pass that dog off as mine. I would know right away. That's not my dog.
I do love Beast Wars. More than any other TF iteration. And I love my OG Primal toy above all others. When people ask me, if there was a fire and you could only grab one toy, which would it be? I always point to my Primal. Even though I have lost the voodoo mask and one rocket. He is my favorite. ( I would also reach across the room and grab MP blue Bluestreak). To me he is irreplaceable. He represents a really good and fun period in my life.
I'm really glad that Takara is giving BW some love. I'm even more happy for the BW era kids who get what I'm sure is a wonderful update to the character. My issues with the toy are once again, the cartoon accuracy. I LOVE that show, but not because of it's art direction, but because of it's story telling. I don't like Prime with a mouth, never have. I also don't like the standing gorilla position.
This MP will be a great toy for those who think the show model is the perfect representation of this character. I just happen to think the original Kenner toy is the perfect representation for me.
...and thats, the LOW DOWN!

Also, Kenner made Beast Wars??
The toys were initially developed and distributed by Hasbro's Kenner division, but with the massive success of Beast Wars, the parent company eventually reclaimed control of the brand. Beast Wars packaging was branded "Kenner" until the 1998 Transmetals 2 packaging sported "Hasbro" logos again.
