I didn't play it, though I've heard it's cool. I just have the toy of the witch and her Rancore. The Rancore is rad and is adorned with war paint!
Well it's pretty old now (PS3/XB360 era) so your best bet is PC/Mac (I forget which you rep). Probably can get the DL cheap from steam, GOG or even go crazy and find a physical copy (who still does that?). My point is that the required specs should be pretty low now. It's straight up 3rd person hack and slash with some mild RPG skill tree type stuff IIRC. I dug the story line and Starkiller a lot and I enjoyed being a Jedi assassin. Super non-canon, even before Disney went scorched earth.

ZeroWolf wrote:I'm sorry but the best sw game is masters of terakasai (or whatever it was called) [-(
Never heard of that and wouldn't mind a little more info on it.

I like to use the term favorite over best. Mostly because sometimes I like things that are generally considered trash. Also best is very subjective where fav requires no real reasoning.

Cobs, I think most of those games are GC. KOTOR is on mobile now, JUMP!

You talking about the ones I listed?
Pod Racer was 64, Rogue Squadron was fer shere GC. BF2 and Reb Commando were both Xbox, or at least that's what I played them on. The only 2 games I bought for the free Xbox I got.

OK, one of those games

The 64 and GC blend together in my head. That's the time frame I jumped ship and sold my soul to Sony. The Ninty systems became my secondary consoles for the exclusives only. Kinda looks like the Switch will become a secondary console as well :BANG_HEAD:

KOTAR is still available on mobile though :-P ;)^

Boy, that game was awesome. It's a shame that it's not canon anymore.

Also, does anyone here have any Iron Factory stuff? I'm getting their Sunstorm in the mail tomorrow, and I'd like to know what to expect from it.

I have a few, and they're AWESOME! I have Magnus, Arcee, and the Datsun Bros. Some of their alt modes are questionable, but the sculpts are terrific, the plastic is outstanding, and they are amazing quality. And tons of fun!

Those Seekers look cool. I doubt their alt modes are any worse than the CW Hasbro ones. Which, IMO are perfectly good.

I think about the IF Coneheads often.

That's nice to know. Legends classes have been some of my favorite figures lately, so knowing that there's an entire line of really high quality Legends size figures is pretty cool. If they ever get around to releasing all of them, I'd like to get IF versions of my 3 favorite :BOT: s and :CON: s.

Oh was that that Tekken wannabe fighting game? Yeah I played it and it was ass, much like 98% of SW games unfortunately. TFU1 was the only one I can ever remember enjoying. Anyone remember that horrible FPS on the N64? Shadows of the Empire I think? You played as a C-string Han Solo. Yeah it was bad, real bad. But then again the N64 only had a handful games worth playing.

SMB64

Diddy Kong Racing
Banjo Kazooie
Blast Corps
Golden Eye

Well those were my favs anyway. So rumor has it there is a N64 classic around the corner. So what's the wish list?

It was all about both Knights of the Old Republic games for me -- even if the second was incomplete when I played them on the Xbox. There was nothing like draining all enemies of their life force....and then spamming Force Lightning. ;p

You should play those if you don't mind their age, Cobo!

 I loved Shadows of the Empire! I played it on my college roommate's PC. I think maybe really what I liked was the time spent hanging and having fun with that bro, more than the game itself. Those Dark Troopers or whatever they were called were mean as hell!

Also played an awesome old game called Myst, which I know we've talked about in here.

But I agree with Cary, Star Wars games can be real hit or miss. I've played some real stinkers.

I'd love to go back and play KOTOR and a lot of other games, but the truth is, it's just not in my lifestyle right now. With two small kids I just can't commit the time to epic life consuming video games. As much as I'd like to. I'm hoping in the next few years, as my girls get older and more independent, I do.
I'm gonna let the Switch library of games grow, and hopefully in the next 2 years or so get one, and BotW. By then the girl's interest and eye-to-hand coordination might be more suitable for games.

Edit: On the N64 Classic. Don't know if it's necessary for me. I still have a functioning 64 and it's even hooked up to my TV as we speak.

Shadows was fun, even on the PC. Also, Myst, old? O_o

Um....okay, that is old, and so am I... O_O

ZeroWolf wrote:Shadows of the Empire was never on pc :-? Dark Forces on the other hand with the dark troopers...

It sure was. It was released for Microsoft in 1997. I remember that my first graphics card at the time really couldn't keep up. I kept getting clobbered by a Wompa in the Hoth Base and had trouble with a couple of the walkers glitching. With a new Graphics card, I could play it. I should try on my Windows 98 Virtual Machine. I still have the original install disc and retail box....somewhere...

I wasted so much of my early 20s on Dark Forces. And I all but wore out my disc of Republic Commandos. That was a lot of fun too.

But y'all are missing the best series ever for Star Wars Video Games: X-Wing, with X-Wing: Alliance the penultimate Star Wars game ever!! It was especially cool when I got a force feedback joystick for my PC. I should crank that bad boy up on my old WinXP system....

I've never forgotten it (x wing: alliance) just I have a different star wars game for different moods. Do you know which starts wars game I enjoyed that never made it to console? Star Wars Trilogy arcade. Sega released it in the late nineties, running off their model 3 arcade hardware (released in 98, so not long before they replaced it with the naomi hardware) it was short like all arcade games but lots of fun, taking one level from each movie, the was pure bliss in the arcades and a machine I only ever found once...yes in my youth I hunted arcade machines in their natural habitat. That all too brief period where arcades told you what games you could expect in a year or so on your chosen console. Sadly, that era closed pretty much when the ps2 launched and consoles overtook what the arcades were capable of. I miss those days :(...

Anyone play the NES star wars game

You're right Z, it was Dark Forces that I played. My bad. And it did also star Dash Rendar, and just to get technical I played it on a a nonproprietary Mac, before Apple got all proprietary. That's how old the game is. That's how old I am.

Ag, I've always assumed you and I are close in age. If you don't mind. Just because I am curious. How old are you?

Edit: Runs to VG drawer to see which SW flight simulators I have.

Answer: Rogue Squadron for the 64, and Rogue Squadron 3 Rebel Strike for the cube.

Dude, I pre-ordered him from them day 1! That was a toy I was super excited to get in 2006 and it was so cool that seeing a new, 2nd, even better version here, especially since my poor Chewie only has 1 functional arm now, that I had to get him.

And you and Shajaki have made him irresistible!

I will be 44 on Thursday. :-s (Bill Cosby's birthday, which used to be a lot cooler. Also Bambi Woods, if anyone knows who she is.)

Two years ago was awesome. I spent the entire year as the ultimate answer to life the universe and everything...

On the SW game thing, I miss my MAME arcade version with the green vector graphics. I should hunt for that again. I liked some of the strategy games too, like Rebellion with ship-to-ship combat and trying to take over the Galaxy. Then there was the one that was like Starcraft....Galactic Battlegrounds? Wow, racking my brain on that one. Shadows of the Empire was cool because it had a mix of space (and Hoth ATAT) battle along with some first person shooter. What was the one with the early jedi combat....Jedi Outcast? I think that was mentioned here. I really liked that game play. The Force Unleashed was okay, though I don't think I ever finished it and barely got into TFU II. I was more interested in Republic Commando, well at least until I started my Masters program when I had to give up pretty much all video gaming.

Ah, nostalgia. Thanks all! Since The Last Jedi I have been in a sour Star Wars mood, thinking of putting much of my collection into our bonfire. (Most of my collection is pretty worthless...)

Never played the NES SW game but I played the ones for the SNES. They're not bad actually but not my cup of tea. I could be crazy but isn't one of them on the SNES classic?

Myst, **** yeah, let's talk about Myst or its 7 disc sequel Riven. I love me some point and click puzzle games. Aren't they remaking Myst in a fully 3d world? Crowd funded maybe?

I loved Myst, even with its technical limitations (which were even obvious back then). The atmosphere and story were so cool. I just wanted to live there. You know I still think about that game often (more often then you'd think). I also think a straight port is available on mobile.

The Witness is high on my need to play list. Reminds me of Myst in a way.

Edit: bunch of old farts scooting walkers round the tron

I'm glad I'm helping enable people towards the new TF Falcon

I didn't play many star Wars games... which is odd since I was a heavy gamer and Warser. But I did play alot of Shadows on 64. Funny thing is that I never even got halfway through the game. Me and my buddy would just play the Hoth level over and over again trying to top each others times
It was like playing our favorite scene in our favorite movie, it was a big deal for us at the time. Fond memories :x

Weapon: Heat-Seeking Laser Blasters
My waifu loved Myst and Riven -- I helped get her through Indigo Prophecy (button-mashing segments), but watched her rip through Syberia 1&2, and other point-n-click adventures. Monkey Island was too hard (the puzzles can be abstract sometimes, but back in middle school or so we played through all the LucasArts games!), and Indiana Jones & the Fate of Atlantis couldn't be found on consoles. ;)
