It's been a real treat building a nice little family of super fans with y'all. I hope you have as much fun with your real families this holiday season.
Merry Christmas bot buddies!

This guys bot mode is a work of art. Pterydon mode is going to take further analysis.

Decepticon Sunstorm wrote:I need your guys help on something (I posted a thread about this, but nobody has provided any feedback () so I thought I'd bring it here). I decided to start a Masterpiece collection, and I was wondering what to get. So far, I have MP-8X, along with a Hasbro Sunstorm and Prowl coming from ebay, and I plan to get Shockwave. For the reason of not having a steady income, I'll have to narrow it down to 3 or 4
's and
's each. So I'd like your guys opinions on what I should buy. 3P recommendations are okay, though I can't get anything too far over $150 US dollars.

Cobotron wrote:Hey DS!
I was going to say something similar about MP-10, and that if that Asia market one that Will pointed out is available, I would jump on it ASAP! MP-10s aren't getting any cheaper.
I was also going to point out the Wheeljack reissue. The prices coming out of these Japanese hobby sites are SOOOOO good you would have to be a fool to buy them anywhere else. Last time I did the conversion on Wheeljack he was about 40 to 42 US Dollars before shipping. You could get him shipped for $50 even Steven. I'd bet my MP collection on it.
Also, if you can get your hands on the latest Hasbro Starscream, DO IT! He is of superb quality and you'll never find a better price on an MP Seeker. (of course until 2016 when I'd bet they'll do Skywarp.)
I'm glad you have Bluestreak coming. He is my favorite of all.
Another good route to save a buck on MPs, is to keep your eyes on those one day sales BBTS has.
As for 3P MPs, I haven't gone that route yet. Not that I'm anti 3P, I have just steered clear of that rabbit hole.
Hope this helps a bit. Feel free to ask more questions. Especially if you have any about ordering from Japan, as that can get intimidating until you get the hang of it.

I'd like to weight in on the MP discussion while I'm here.
What's the goal? Are you content with one version of a mold once experiencing it?
-I'd say get the recent TRU Starscream if you can.
-I'll parrot what everyone else says about MP10, get him while you can. And here's another option if your parents are up for it (HLJ still has him in stock).
-Good call on Shockwave. Get Apollyon if its in the budget, if not you can just hold out hope for an official one. Aside from Shockwave though the Decepticon ranks are thin. Even if you have to save up and pay scalper prices, try and get TRU Soundwave. Or if you don't need all the tapes, try Soundblaster as he's still readily available at most online retailers still.
-Sideswipe is coming to TRU this year (right guys?) so there's your Lambor mold covered.
-WJ is a must have so jump on those reissue preorders.
-BB (in my opinion) is also a must have. But if I were a bettin man, he'll be reissued. So maybe wait.
-After that (mold wise) its pretty much just Tracks, Magnus, Starsaber, and Rodimus Prime. Tracks is still cheaply available at the Japanese retailers, I'd scoop one while you can. Magnus is a pricey enough to pass on, but would still recommend him. Saber if PHENOMENAL, but for us westerners is a niche character. And Roddy is an easy pass being expensive, riddled with QC issues, and with an updated mold on the way.
