So, officially announced is that it is an Autobot from the Sea of Rust.
The two arms are going to be Aerialbot redeccos (remolds?) and the two legs are going to be Stunticon redeccos/remolds.
Somehow I missed what was selected for the torso, does anyone know?

I'm hoping the Hot Spot mold won that since any other version would just be either a Superion redeco with Stunticon legs or a Menasor redeco with Aerialbot arms, and both of those don't sound interesting. With the Hot Spot mold, the Protectobots gets some kind of representation in this and at least some creativity is involved.

I personally voted for the Superion torso.

And for me it was Kamen Rider Blade and Kiva that hooked me onto KR fandom.

And here I thought I was the only Kamen Rider fan on here, you've been holding out on me Nuclur'.

I just realized something. If "female" won, this is going to be the first female Transformer toy larger than a deluxe since Binaltech Arcee (2008), and the first Hasbro's put on shelves since Transmetal 2 Blackarachnia (all the way back in 1999).

I meant just the specifcis not the disign; If they saved it for con, they'd wait until SDCC like with windblade. The revealed all her voted for specifications well before a convention; only showing her final character model at San Diego Comic-Con 2013.

My bad, I misremembered which convention they revealed Windblade at.

The winning personality for the fan built combiner is independent. Has anyone noticed the picture of grimlock looks like an all new grimlock? Possible leader figure?

So apparently the new combiner is Independent. Now, hopefully soon we'll hear the gender, name, and nemesis.

Thanks to a number of notifications from fellow Seibertronians, including Prowl4 and Kamen_Rider_Kiva, we have the new reveal regarding the Hasbro fan poll for the original Combiner Wars gestalt character! Fans with access to the Transformers app on their mobile device have decided the new Autobot from the Sea of Rust will be Independent - and as you can see below, Grimlock is used as the example. What do you make of this? Let us know in the Energon Pub, after you also check out the three new missions (promoting Off Road, Alpha Bravo, the DeNA Battle Tactics game and the IDW comics) added to the app.

As for the poll result...maybe mercenary would have been a good option? A team that works for whoever pays more on the day? That would REALLY sell the scramble gimmick, too.

Was kinda hoping for something other than the Independent personality to win since we already have lots of insubordinate rule-breaking characters who don't care about authority.

What do you bet that the gender and name will be revealed very late in the running?

If it's male I'll most likely buy it. If it's female I won't buy it as I didn't vote for female.

So... just the Dinobots + Sea of Rust aspect makes me think of RID.

Calling it now: Dinobot combiner with integrated Legends Ironhide (as chest or weapon).
