didn't we establish that her character design was unveiled at SDCC; and her specifications were revealed before that; around may I believe.

The official Facebook page has revealed that the nemesis for the new character has been chosen as none other than Galvatronus. Makes sense, they've been using that image of Galvatronus in the bottom corner from the start.
Limbs don't appear to be important. Both arms are the same vague jet and the legs both appear to be Dragstrip.

To be fair, there aren't that many repaints. Most stuff's been remolded as well as repainted. And it was clear this was going to be a recolor from the start.
