You can check this by whether her legs lock into the knees in robot mode.

I started doing that when I got Wildrider and the stress marks on his haven't gotten any bigger.
I'll have to remember this and give it a try tonight when I get back from work Thank you!

You're welcome! It only seems to be an issue on the Dead End version of the mold (Dead End, Wildrider, Dustup) but thankfully, there's that workaround.
I remember early reports of the stress marks and straight up breaking. I too always push on the back first to get my finger under the windshield, than apply pressure to both sides. I do the same for the Breakdown mold also. Out of habit.TF-fan kev777 wrote:Bounti76 wrote:D-Maximus_Primal wrote:Bounti76 wrote:Also, I've noticed that if you pull up on the windshield a bit on her, then open it the rest of the way by pressing down at the back of the windshield piece, on the roof, that it avoids those stress marks. I actually push down on the roof/back of the windshield first on the Dead End, Streetwise and Breakdown molds (and various retools/remolds) before pulling on the windshield itself. In my case, its fat fingers and short nails that make it hard for me to grab the windshield first, but I'm also glad to know I've been preventing stress marks the whole time. This seems to be really important on the G2 stunticons where the tolerances are really tight.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
The other option is to pop the combiner peg down and push from the underside with a pen or something slim.Cobotron wrote:I remember early reports of the stress marks and straight up breaking. Did they ever make up for the paint they forgot to apply to Jazz?

lol, they didn't 'forget', they're just trying to make a quick sleazy buck off of fans, so I guess you could say that they "forgot"
On topic, it would be awesome of hasbro to release multiple versions of the sword, one in gunmetal and trnaslucent red or purple as the dark star saber; and one in silver and a lighter blue, or some other color as the star saber I'd pay like $5-10 for each, but I want those in my life
Delta Magnus wrote:So Pyra Magna (AKA the only one I really cared about) is incorrectly assembled? Well, that sucks. A pity, as I actually really digged her- I would have bought her had she been released individually (at least, were it not for the apparent QC issues with her). Still, with all these complaints about plastic quality and QC issues throughout the line I think I made the right decision in ditching CW/UW.
It's a real shame, because I've seen the comic designs for Victorion and her components and they look great (yes I am aware they're based on the toys). Heck, even the final colours aren't that bad, but the molds just don't work for them, and by the sounds of things mold degradation is setting in already. Now all I can hope for is some enterprising 3P company (ideally Maketoys) to make a rendition of these girls. Not that that's going to happen in a million years but it would be nice.

Her knees don't lock to the shins like onslaught and hotspot. It doesn't destroy the entire figure. She can still pose and everything and like I said the legs are quite stuff. To be honest I didn't even know the knees locked until I got onslaught and I had HotSpot for over 6 months by that point. It doesn't ruin my enjoyment what so ever.
And f&$& 3rd parties.

Yeah, f*$! those people offering higher-quality alternatives to HasTak figures and releasing upgrades/fixes to deal with HasTak's f*ckups.
Thanks but I'll never give 3rd parties my money again. I've been 3P free for over a year becaus I decided that I'd rather not Pisa my money on brittle plastic and low QC.
Sure once In a while an official figure will have a flaw
but it doesn't count for the over flow of garbage that's coming out from every random dude who thinks he can make a toy.
I'll stick with official stuff and if they don't make it well I'll just have to act my age and accept that I can't always get what I want.
