If you get your Victorion set, please confirm whether Pyro Magna is missassembled or not.

You can check this by whether her legs lock into the knees in robot mode.

Definitely misassembled on my Pyra Magna. First thing I checked (followed by fixing them - tried removing rivets to no avail, so blade-trim it was, and it holds fine)!

IMO, I think she looks best with the twins as her arms and the cars as her legs. Makes her more... streamlined? Certainly goes with her hands better, given how the cars give her a wizard-sleeve look with those girly little hands.

I kinda want her, but once more, finances aren't strong right now, but if she's still available by summer's end, I'll totally grab myself a set.

You're welcome! It only seems to be an issue on the Dead End version of the mold (Dead End, Wildrider, Dustup) but thankfully, there's that workaround.

I actually push down on the roof/back of the windshield first on the Dead End, Streetwise and Breakdown molds (and various retools/remolds) before pulling on the windshield itself. In my case, its fat fingers and short nails that make it hard for me to grab the windshield first, but I'm also glad to know I've been preventing stress marks the whole time. This seems to be really important on the G2 stunticons where the tolerances are really tight.

I remember early reports of the stress marks and straight up breaking. I too always push on the back first to get my finger under the windshield, than apply pressure to both sides. I do the same for the Breakdown mold also. Out of habit.

The other option is to pop the combiner peg down and push from the underside with a pen or something slim.

Shame 'bout all the problems with Victorion, the plastic quality across the line has been noticeably poor. I too had the problem with both Dead-End and Neck-Brace's roofs, I don't have any stress marks, but they make the absolute worst creaking and squeaking noises I've heard in a transformer toy. Had a similar problem with breakdown, but that I fixed by shaving a bit of plastic off of him somewhere. I don't have this issue with the prowl molds though, they feel great.
I am not a G1 fan, please treat my opinions as such.

lol, they didn't 'forget', they're just trying to make a quick sleazy buck off of fans, so I guess you could say that they "forgot" >:oP

On topic, it would be awesome of hasbro to release multiple versions of the sword, one in gunmetal and trnaslucent red or purple as the dark star saber; and one in silver and a lighter blue, or some other color as the star saber :-? I'd pay like $5-10 for each, but I want those in my life =P~

It probably will get reused again at some point much like the weapons that came with the Combiner hunters SDCC 3 pack.

So Pyra Magna (AKA the only one I really cared about) is incorrectly assembled? Well, that sucks. A pity, as I actually really digged her- I would have bought her had she been released individually (at least, were it not for the apparent QC issues with her). Still, with all these complaints about plastic quality and QC issues throughout the line I think I made the right decision in ditching CW/UW.

It's a real shame, because I've seen the comic designs for Victorion and her components and they look great (yes I am aware they're based on the toys). Heck, even the final colours aren't that bad, but the molds just don't work for them, and by the sounds of things mold degradation is setting in already. Now all I can hope for is some enterprising 3P company (ideally Maketoys) to make a rendition of these girls. Not that that's going to happen in a million years but it would be nice.

Her knees don't lock to the shins like onslaught and hotspot. It doesn't destroy the entire figure. She can still pose and everything and like I said the legs are quite stuff. To be honest I didn't even know the knees locked until I got onslaught and I had HotSpot for over 6 months by that point. It doesn't ruin my enjoyment what so ever.

I'd like to agree with you, but having had a Hot Spot with a slightly loose knee, those locking tabs are pretty vital to getting the hips to hold together in combined mode. And regardless of whether or not it "destroys the entire figure" it's still pretty lame to see such an anticipated figure suffer from misassembly.

Everyone is different. I'm totally happy with her and my hotshot is a little loose but it's not awful. The ladder helps with support thats why I never noticed the knees lock. The ladder always supported him until I watched a review and saw the knees lock. End of the day I'm the one that looks at her, I'm not waiving her around at recess going "look what I got" anymore and to be honest when its displayed with everyone else it will be Victorion and I have zero leg issues combined. The entire figure is really stiff and the articulated ankles make some great poses.

Come on over and say high quality to my fans project warbot defender that came with seered ratchets right out of the box or my hypernovae who also had bad ratchets in his knees the moment I opened him or my fans project TBone who crumbled in my hand when I decided to take them from M3 and display them in individual mode instead OR even my mech ideas ironfist who is held together with glue and good intentions because his mushroom pegs on his legs came right off when I took him out of the box or even my maketoys pandeus who had red paint smeared all over his face and it took 2 months to get a replacement face.

Thanks but I'll never give 3rd parties my money again. I've been 3P free for over a year becaus I decided that I'd rather not Pisa my money on brittle plastic and low QC. Sure once In a while an official figure will have a flaw but it doesn't count for the over flow of garbage that's coming out from every random dude who thinks he can make a toy.

I'll stick with official stuff and if they don't make it well I'll just have to act my age and accept that I can't always get what I want.

And yet you collect Hasbro figures.

Sure once In a while an official figure will have a flaw

So, every Tuesday then.
but it doesn't count for the over flow of garbage that's coming out from every random dude who thinks he can make a toy.

And yet there are a lot of people out there who have had plenty of good experiences with 3P figures. I'm not denying you've had the problems you've had, but in all honesty it sounds more like bad luck on your end than definitive proof that third parties are universally awful. Heck, the market wouldn't even exist if they were all that bad. There's plenty of sucky 3P figures for sure (not helped by the recent influx of bootlegs of their stuff) but to say that every third party product is "garbage" is just silly.

If we're going by the "My figure sucked so it must all be awful" logic-
>My Targetmaster Reflector broke at the hinge from regular transforming.
>My Targetmaster Spinister literally fell apart.
>My Legends Megatron's head snapped off when I tried to turn it.
>Every single CW/UW figure I own/owned has had some flaw or breakage (Drag Strip got stress marks on the HFG port, Skydive's legs don't tab in properly for jet mode, Fireflight has a badly pinned in shin armature making his transformation difficult, Alpha Bravo has a floppy waist and a cracked HFG port, Silverbolt had warped rubber antenna and flaking paint everywhere, and the less said about Defensor the better).
>My reissue Seacons are very poorly toleranced and barely hold together in combined mode.
>My Animated Arcee's left thumb snapped clean off.
>My Animated Blackarachnia came with a non-functional grapple gun and had to be exchanged.
And many, many other flaws with many other figures. If your logic was applied to my experiences, the only possible conclusion one could come to is that HasTak's product is patently inadequate. So yeah. Don't come crying to me about crappy figures.

I'll stick with official stuff and if they don't make it well I'll just have to act my age and accept that I can't always get what I want.

Fine, you do that. Enjoy your misassembled knees, stress marks, sh*tty plastic and fracturing HFG ports. :^)
