It's not sounding too amazing at the moment. Activision better get their collective fingers out if it's going to be presentable by June.

SPiderman 2 sucked...I couldn't finish it...just got too boring...same with Superman Returns. The extra rescues and crap really made it bad..
If they can put something up equivalent to the first TF game it'll be ok.

It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

this whole thing would make more sense if the movie wasn't about monsters. I'm so sad

bumblebzzz, only you seem to be whining.
Movie games are mostly poor, due to there being little in a movie that would actually make for good gameplay.

Well, I expected such, TV farnchise games, as well as movie games always tend to suck hardbody. But, what they needed to do just to be creative with the action, and just show it something not seen often, like take all the elemnts of all good games, throw in a pot, throw transforming robots in, stir it, and boom.lol. But really, they should have treated as, they were only using designs from a movie, and done a whole different thing with it. So sad.

Not surprised. Considering that all movie games seemed to have sucked the big one.
The only movie game thats even looking worthwhile is TMNT.
As for Spider-man 2.

I wrote:It was good, but it lacked a bunch of things. Namely replay value. Once you go through the entire game, what was there? Collecting of coins and tokens which give you what in the end? Diddly. Then you swing around and beat up thugs, then swing around and beat up people breaking into a rooftop door. Then you swing around and do a spidey race, then, oh look, more thugs. The only thing that was unlockable were upgrades for spider-man, wow I can make Spider-man swing a little faster, yay?
It got boring quick. There were no unlockables. The cool thing was the staggering size and detail of the environment, how well it flowed together.
It marked a huge leap from the first Spider-man Movie game, which really was a Spider-man 64 port updated. But it still wasn't a really great movie game. Thankfully Ultimate Spider-man, while on a smaller scale and basically the same game, gave some unlockables and extras for completing the game among other things.

So far(yes I know it's still early) my fears about this game are right on the money. Instead of do something like the Armada game, which was awesome, they go the lame-assed GTA wanna-be route.
GTA wasn't all that special to begin with(no one's gonna change my mind on this, I friggin' hate those games), so I don't see why the TF game needs to copy the formula. They could do so much better than that.

From ToplessRobot.com:• "Watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is marginally better than sh***ing your pants, but it takes a lot longer." Very well put.

not surprising at all and actually totally expected. sadly games like these are just made to rake in the movie buzz bucks and unfortunately the game publishers probably won't make even a decent game. it's funny cause just a few days ago people here were all psyched and were reserving the game and everything.

Hopefully things will improve. Though I liked the Armada and Japanese G1 game and the later wasn't always reviewed that highly.

Movie games usually do not do that well... The reason? They never have enough time to do them properly! Think about it--this game is coming out the same time as the movie... which means that they've only known so much about the script, the robot designs, etc., for about a year (the way things are leaked, something tells me they've known more or less what we know when we knew it).
A year might sound like a long time... but when you consider design changes, plot changes (hey, there might be some since that year old script... hopefully), and the difficulty of the engine involved with playable characters that transform, it really isn't enough time to put together a solid videogame, let alone 6 or 7 video games (Xbox, PS2, Gameboy, etc., etc.)!
I'm not trying to excuse them--just stating the plain fact. Video games based on movies will suck 9 times out of 10 unless a lot of information is known about the property ahead of time.

I put down $5 to preorder the X-Box 360 version. My plan is to wait it out until the game is ready to be released and check online video game reviews before I pay for it completely. If it's looking sucky, then I'm not paying the extra $65.

frankly i think it would be perfect if they just took the Incredable hulk game (newest one) and use that as an ideal setting where you can hurt innocent people trash cars and roam free that was what made that game better than most sandbox games. take that formula for the city levels add more levels and make the whole thing transformers but since it a movie tie in it just gonna suck

It could have been worse, your character could die with a single shot and you would get the message 'your head a splode.' All things considered, it could be a lot worse!
Still though, they better get their act together. In a game where you can throw just about anything, physics is VERY important.

I'd love a TF game that's like War of the Monsters. Everything was destructible in that and the humans were squishy.
