The Killzone

"Hmm," Thundercracker muttered, looking down at Grave.

They're almost here, he thought. But we can't just leave him here.

"I'll do you a favor, Skywarp," Thundercracker laughed. "I wouldn't want to hog all the glory up there, so I'll give you a head start. If - no, when - I see you need help, then I'll tag in. Heh."

---The Killzone---

Scramble Chuckled a litte at Raptures insistance. "Its just Armor damage, nothing too bad beyond a few overheated circuts I'll be fine." She spoke to her escort? As they came upon ThunderCrackers position.

---

"No need for that.." Scramble commented with a smile after transforming and landing on her feet beside the blue seeker. Her green medkit in her left hand. "Go blow something up." She chuckled before turning her gaze upon Grave. Optics Narrowing.

"By the Prime Program..." She moved beside the fallen decepticon and dropped to her knees placing her kit on the ground next to her and popping it open.

"Do you know how long he's been in stasis lock?" She asked as she rifled though the various tools and items within her kit. "Its important..if he has an internal cranium injury it could effect him when he comes online again." Aha! there it was..pulling a small sharp looking crystal fmo her kit, her right hand withdraw within her forearm and produced her tool. Slipping it into place a small spark shot out of it.

"I am gonna cut him open and see if everythings still in one piece in there...hopefully its just his optics." Head wounds even for mechanoids were always the worse to treat in the field, but if there was any hope for Grave the extent of his injuries had to be known fast.

The Killzone

Thundercracker nodded.

"No idea about that," he said to Scramble. "I can only tell you I've been here for less than a breem and got the signal about a quarter of a breem before that."

"Second thought, maybe we should team up on this one," the seeker said as he looked at Skywarp. "I mean, we wouldn't want to add any more work for Scramble here by adding your carcass to the pile." Thundercracker turned back to watch the medic work for a second. "Well, are you just going to stand there? Last one there's a Dinobot's afterburner!"

The Decepticon elbowed Skywarp in the chest to stun him for a moment. Bending his knees, he activated the rockets beneath his feet and took off into the sky.

Killzone

Rapture sighed. Why are medics always so stubborn? she thought. "Have it your way,Scramble. But I've seen marks like that before. Mostly on corpses. How on Cybertron did you get shot by Optimus Prime?!"

Hovering down next to Scramble to avoid landing on her broken foot, Rapture took a moment to process the incoming transmissions, responding to each in turn.

She looked over at Grave's downed form, hearing Skywarp and Thundercracker's conversation. She smirked a bit.

"Good hunting, you two,"she told the male Seekers.

It was good to see 'Thundy' again. She had always liked the blue Seeker, ever since their long ago academy days. He'd always struck her as a model soldier. I wonder if he still has those doubts? She thought. Back in the day many of their classmates had seen that as sign of weakness, and Thundercracker had learned to keep his private worries to himself. But Rapture had always liked the fact that Thundy questioned everything that she took as gospel. It made her work harder to find the reasons behind her adamant beliefs.

Rapture hadn't seen him much for centuries, or maybe longer. Ever since he had been assigned to Air Commander Starscream's squadron they hadn't really kept in touch. He had been a good friend of Gallows' though, so he would stop at their backwater post from time to time.

Then it hit her. Frag, he doesn't know Gallows is gone, she thought. With all the losses it probably hasn't even been reported yet. Thoughts of her former CO (He was a hell of a lot more than that to you, some part of her mind screamed) always threatened to crush her spark. She would find the wretched Autobot responsible. And it would die. I swear it, Rapture inwardly promised her lost love. But first I have a mission to finish, she thought; trying to focus on the present. And I have to tell Thundy you're gone...

The Killzone

"Heheh, looks like you're losing," Thundercracker called out to Skywarp. As he looked down, he caught a glimpse of Rapture.

Something's not right with Rap, Thundercracker thought. He knew the fembot well enough to see past her appearances. Something's definitely not right.

The seeker faultered for only a second. His face grew serious. Remembering where he was, he smiled again. Still, he knew, despite their time apart, Rapture would notice.

"C'mon, you're seriously going to give up just like that, Skydork?" Thundercracker cackled. He readied the blasters on his arms as he approached the scavenger.

---Grave's Position---

"Bad Timing, Shockwave and that big Autobot went down close to each other, thats where Big Red Happened to show up." She knew her injuries were a bit more serious than she let on, but there was no point in worrying about it. The Internal damage could continue to be minimalized with coolant until she had time to tend to her own wound.

The tip of her multi purpose medical tool flared to life in the form of a laser scapel. As she brought it down and carffully started to guide it along the edges of the fallen cons cranium she spoke again.

"Raputre. I can do this though my tool but its busy. Press in and to the left on my right shoulder, a small hole should open up somewhere on the side. Theres a feeder tube in my med-kit. Attach one end to me and the other to him. Once I start pumping watch his torso, if you see any serious leaks tell me about it so I can get a better idea what all is slagged in him."

Very slowly with her left hand after backing the scapel away she removed a part of his cranium plating. Plcking the cutting device from her tool, and without looking she picked up another device. It was small with a round ball shaped item on the end of it.

The Killzone

Thindercracker fell backwards slightly as Thundercracker's elbow caught his chest plate. "Why you!"

He lifted off the ground quickly, yet Thundercracker was way in front of him. He smiled, "We'll see who gets there first..." Suddenly, it was as if he has disappeared, Skywarp used his Warp ability and appeared right behind Thundercracker. Using his gift of speed, he advanced right next to his comrade and rammed him sideways. "Ha ha! Take that Butt-er-Cracker!"

Yielding to the Seeker medic's superior knowledge, Rapture meticulously followed Scramble's instructions, hooking the tube in. she kept her optics trained on Grave, searching for the leaks. Energon trickled from a few small holes, highlighting them. But there was a single large breach on the left of Grave's torso gouting fuel.

"A few drips, but I see a major leak on his left side. I'm no techie, but I know from experience what a wound from an anti-aircraft cannon looks like. Both Fortress Maximus and that new Giant have them. Or maybe he was with that idiot Starscream at the Maximus Line? They have fixed guns there. Hold on."

She floated up a few feet and dead-fired a single micro-missile into some scrap at few yards away. She grabbed a half-melted beam, moving back towards Scramble and Grave.

"We used to do this to patch up fuel leaks until medical could arrive."

Rapture used the rapidly cooling slag on the end of the beam to plug the hole. Her left hand retracted, a stream of coolant shooting out onto the patch. It held.

"It's not pretty, but when you've been stationed way out in the Sonic Canyons for as long as I was you learn to do for yourself. It can take a long time to get help out there."

ooc: I may be the only 'Con here that cares, but who's the ranking officer in this scene? I'm a 6.

(Ooc:I think your the highest ranked one at the moment.)

A flash could be seen inside of Graves head, as the Medic just sat for a moment. She was bombarded by information due to the probes internal scan of the downed cons head.

"Its not as bad as it looks. Thankfully no key componets need to be replaced." Glancing down at the patch she smirked as she pulled her tool from the opening she'd made and, plucked the probe from her tool setting it inside her tool kit.

"Before we move him though, theres a bit more I am going to have to do for him, I dunno if I am going to be able to reactive him. Even to the bare minimum functionality." Scramble eyed the patch for a moment. "It'll work.." She said turning to sift though the tools in her kit for the proper one. "Hows your Foot? If its bad theres extra distimulant in the kit that will deaden some of your pain."

(OOC: I am having trouble finding the post were Grave was wounded, could I get his player to pm or someone to link me to the post? So I know how best to play his treatment.)

OOC: Skywarp and Rapture both have a rank of 6. From what I can tell, that's the highest of any Decepticon here.

The Killzone

"Watch it," Thundercracker grumbled. "Just because you caught up doesn't mean you'll get it first."

The seeker, who had been preparing his incendiary gun, aimed at the scavengeer. He opened fire.

"Now who's going to win?" he smiled as Skywarp still pushed him to the side.

The Killzone

Skywarp, still in jet mode, maneuvered away from Thundercracker towards the scavenger running quickly among the rubble. He was lower to the ground and could get an almost perfect shot. When he decided it was the right moment to shoot, his heat-seeking missiles wouldn't fire, they were jammed. His internal computer started speaking: >>

"Slag! My weapons will barely work! They must've been damaged from battle. I guess I'll have to do this the hard way."

SKywarp aimed with his machine guns at the scavenger but only spurts of of rounds actually fired. Though not very intelligent, his brute warrior instinct found other ways of solving problems in battle. He transformed into robot mode and flew quicly towards it. Yet, Thundercracker was firing away and very accurately. His bullets finally hit it with a perfect shot in the head and the scavenger suddenly stopped.

Skywarp reached it and landed powerfully with his feet on the scavenger's head which crushed it and covered up any evidence that Thundrcracker hit it. "Ha ha! I got it! What'd I tell you? I'm too fast 'Cracker, and you couldn't hit a slaggin' bot if it stood right in front of you." Skywarp smiled at his comrade as he flew down towards him.

The Killzone

"Next time," Thundercracker said, laughing as he landed, "next time I'll beat ya. And hey, didn't you learn that move from me?"

Thundercracker nudged Skywarp with his elbow. The black and purple seeker would know he was joking.

"Plus, you used your jet mode. I thought the rules were no alt modes. Haha. Well at least you made sure it's dead."

He looked around. The other Decepticons still hadn't moved much from their current position.

"There isn't much time or energon left to just sit here," Thundercracker said over a general com-link. "We have to get every body out of here and head back to Polyhex and fast."

"You know what that means," he said to Skywarp. "It's almost racin' time."

The Killzone, Grave's Position

The dark blue femme smiled. The smaller medic impressed her. She was considering requesting Scramble be assigned to her wing when this mess was over. A good wingmech was hard to find.
"The foot's fine as long as I stay airborne," she said. I'll be okay to make it back to base."

It was then that Rapture received Thundercracker's message.

She then opened a general comlink.

A string of coordinates near Warthog's destination was transmitted.

Rapture turned back to Scramble. "Nice work, soldier. I'll be sure to mention it in my reports," she said in the formal tone she so commonly used. But her tone became wry as she concluded. "Efficiency is worth a lot more in my book that the grandstanding our brothers seem to prefer."

Motto: "Feed them to the Sharkticons!"
The Killzone

Through some act of supreme cosmic caprice, Dead End found himself fully functional at the end of yet another debacle in the endless series of debacles that made up the Great War. Great War. An appalling misnomer, if he'd ever heard one. The only thing that was great about the present conflict was the great opportunity it provided the scavengers and the junk merchants in the aftermath of these ridiculous massacres. It was all so utterly useless.

The crimson hovercar sped across the battered terrain, weaving between shattered fortifications and mounds of unidentifiable rubble and deactivated mechanoids. It might have been faster for him to travel by air, but he didn't want to give those distressingly accurate Autobot anti-aircraft guns something to shoot at. His chassis had been dented quite enough for one cycle. Dead End cringed internally at the thought of how long it was going to take him to restore his finish to its usual pristine shine.

The melancholy Decepticon received Rapture's general transmission at almost the same time she and her charges appeared on his radar. And although he wasn't exactly part of the rescue detail, per se, he adjusted course to rendezvous with the Seekers, nonetheless. He would much rather be one potential target among many than a lone bullseye creeping across the face of Cybertron like a wounded petrorabbit. It increased his chances of survival from nil to scant.

As he reached the coordinates designated in the earlier transmission, Dead End transformed and cast his gloomy, visored gaze from Rapture to Scramble to the inert mass of metal and wiring that had previously been Grave. Scratching morosely at a discolored ding in the armor of his chest, he offered, "Dead End reporting. I suppose it will be more convenient for the scavengers, Autobots, and everybody else who wants to kill us if we're all together like this. Especially considering the premium we put on efficiency."

Close to the Killzone

The vehicle was racing down the battered terrain as it rattled from each bump and groove. It eventually became so rough that he had to Transform to even move. As he skid to a stop from his transformation, WheelBar gazed in awe at his surroundings.

Broken and shattered, as most of cybertron was the ground was no longer flat, but spikes of it's surface jutted up in obscure directions, making the definition of a warzone look nothing compared to this.

"By Primus...what are we doing to this planet?" WheelBar sighed. He continued to pursue to the Killzone to the ensuing battle that he would endure. He had not seen much yet, but he was about to...And what ever would happen, who ever should win, he knew one thing. Nothing would ever be the same...

Rapture silently received Commander Soundwave's response. Hope it helps, she thought. We need to spin this thing before morale completely collapses. If anyone can do that, Commander Soundwave can. She respected the efficient Communications chief, paying no mind to the rumors of his manipulations. Rapture didn't care how he accomplish his goals. His devotion to the cause was unquentioned, and his contributions were great. That was more than enough for her.

She turned as Deadend arrived, smiling at his comment. She found herself liking the gloomy Stunticon immediately. It was nice to find a Decepticon with a sense of humor that matched her own. It was in short supply. She would enjoy matching wits with an opponent that wasn't unarmed for once. Her smile turned predatory. Her tone was light and sarcastic as she spoke, almost an unspoken challenge.

"No Deadend, I think the most efficient way to get ourselves killed would be for you to take a shot at that Autobot Giant. Feel free."

Killzone-Grave's Position

Warthog arrived above Grave's position, hovering in place above the other Decepticons.

"Ready to move when you are, Scramble. My sensors say 'cracker and 'warp got the scavvie, we're good." He pumps out a series of rounds at a twitching scavenger shot down earlier, the vermin's body ceasing all movement forever.

"Now we're good. Convoy gathering here? It's going to be a slow rolling one, especially if it includes me and Heap."

Scramble sighed, sitting up a bit. "Theres not much I can do." She said as she plucked another tool from her kit. "I am gonna prep him for cyro-stasis." She said while attaching the item which was a dark blue crystal onto her attachment.

"He'll recover, but taking him apart enough to start fixing him right, can't be done here." Shaking her head, her tool clicked then a sharp hissing sound could be heard, as a faint blue-grey cloud flowed from it onto the spots she guided it. Glancing up she noted the new comer. "Good, we could use someone to help haul him." She'd said with a small chuckle shaking her head head.

"I should just extract his spark core, but Its hard to say how bad the damage is without a proper scanner." She guided the crystal over his torso brushing it across his head. "This will cause the rest of his systems that are on to go into stasis." After another moment, her tool would click and the now black crystal would eject of its own accord.

Attempting to retract her tool, she'd only hear a whirl click, as it moved back in half way then jammed. "For Primus sake..." She mutter smacking her own forearm. "Slagging piece of Junkion waste.." Raising her arm up she smacked it against the gruond hard as the tool finally retracted and her hand appeared. Flexing her fingers.

"I think its time we got him out of here, and got ourselves a good recharge no?" Spoken as she closed her med-kit thens tarted to fold graves arms across his chest. However she didn't remove the energon feed from him to her tank. "I am leaving the feed in just incase, if by some freak accident he activates again, we can't have him going into a melt down over how hurt he is."

(ooc:got a message, Graves player might be out for a bit so I hope this covers it.)

----

Outskirts of PolyHex.

Ruination muttered as he walked along a battled defense placement. The Large Decepticon was angry, snarling he fired his dual mounted forearm guns at a piece of rubble.

"This is stupid!" He huffed. "We could have taken that giant rust bucket! How tough can a vaunted guardian be if most of them are dead anyway." Crossing his arms then the large warrior brooded. He'd been in only a handful of battles, this being the biggest so far. Thus he wasn't use to a ceasefire, and it irritated him.

The Killzone - Grave's Position

Dead End cast a sideways look at the sleek femme who seemed to be in charge. Rapture was definitely a great deal easier on the optics than Motormaster. Or any of the other officers under which the Stunticon had the misfortune to serve. But all that meant was that she was hiding her sadistic mania in a very pretty package. One couldn't rise to a position of even junior authority among the Decepticons without some kind of severe personality disorder and an unquenchable fuel lust, or such was his understanding of the hierarchy he served.

"Ah, no," he replied dryly. "Fortunately, I was designed to be spectacularly inefficient. Ma'am," Dead End added quickly, flinching a little as though he expected to be struck.

Clearly, he'd worked with Motormaster too long.

No blow appeared to be immediately forthcoming, although the femme had a look on her faceplate that made the glum Stunticon exceedingly nervous. Was she planning to eat him? And here he'd always thought that mecannibals were a myth. Dead End stepped around the Seeker very carefully in response to Scramble's request for assistance.

"If you'll pardon me, Madame Efficiency, I believe I've just been pressed into service as a porter. Convenient, since I was thinking to myself that a little heavy lifting would be just the thing to round out this delightful orn." He tried not to dwell too much on Warthog's comments about the likely pace of their gathering convoy. While perhaps not quite so addicted to high speeds as Decepticons of similar design, he had entertained the hope that their retreat would be a hasty one.

But he probably should have known better than to start entertaining silly fantasies like hope.

The Killzone, Convoy Rally Point

Rapture was a little disappointed that Deadend had backed down so quickly. She'd grown used to keeping bored, and often insolent Seekers in line. But she couldn't fault him for focusing on the situation before them. Her mind turned to other matters. There were protocols to follow, and she needed to talk to Thundercracker.

"Scramble, Deadend, Warthog. I have to contact Polyhex Command make them aware of our situation. As you have this patient in hand, I'll join Thundercracker and Skywarp on CAP. Contact me if you need anything." With that, she took off. Opening an encrypted channel, she contacted Polyhex Command. As an after thought she set the transmission to be bounced to Central Command in the event she couldn't reach anyone in Polyhex.

Cruising toward her brethren Thundercracker and Skywarp, the sleek interceptor easily fell into formation with Thundercracker. She opened a private comlink.

The Killzone

"No probs Brewer.." Archangel replied as the S&R specialist sped off to find his patient, before turning his attention back to Springer "I'd never say no to more medics around, makes my job a hell of a lot easier.." Archangel joked as he moved over towards the Triplechanger and the fallen Skywatch "..For now, you just rest up and take it easy, once I've got Skywatch stable, I'll call in a transport, get us all on it, and check you over on the way back to Nova Cronum" The young Medic practically ordered as he set to work on fixing Skywatch, tools and instruments popping out of various compartments on his arms.

After a quick assessment of the injuries he was looking at, Archangel began work on the most serious, a large hole on the upper right portion of Skywatch's torso. Looking over to Springer again, the Medic continued the conversation "Hope you don't mind if I keep rambling away here, helps me to work quicker.." He joked as he sealed off several leaks and began to fix up several vital fluid lines and circuits that had been destroyed "..I think there's definitely a place in the Autobot army for the first triplechanger medic if you're serious, I could even train you" Archangel continued, trying to keep the mood up, knowing that he had a long road ahead of him in regard to casualties.

-------------------------------------
Polyhex ~ The Breach

"That's everyone Silverbolt Sir.." One of the transport pilots radioed, informing the Aerialbot Commander that all casualties, wounded and deceased Autobots had been recovered "Understood, time to get back to Nova Cronum.." Silverbolt replied as he stepped onto the shuttle himself, followed by Fireflight "OK Skydive, I want you, Air Raid and Slingshot to lead the escort back to the Maximus Line, I'm not taking any chances" "Not a problem Sir.." Skydive replied as he took off, quickly followed by his 2 Aerialbot teammates "..We're good to go"

Silverbolt gave the order and the transports simultaneously took off, taking the Autobot contingent back towards the Maximus Line and the safety of Nova Cronum. Looking down onto the battlefield, Silverbolt couldn't help but hope all this had been worth it, but he quickly quashed those thoughts as he issued a broad range commlink order:

>>Attention all Autobots still operating in The Killzone, those who have been assisting with the recovery of the injured and fallen, Transports are on their way to pick up the remaining injured and survivors, and will be arriving shortly to take you all back to Nova Cronum, Silverbolt out<<

Killzone
A quadruped figure made his way across the war-ravaged killzone. Sub-Zero’s progress was slowed by the effort of keeping his cargo balanced. He knew not the name of the unconscious transformer he carried, but that he wore the symbol of the Autobots upon his manifold, and that was enough. A snarl crawled across his cybertronic canid muzzle, the scent of Decepticons still hung in the air, mixed with the sickening odor of scavengers. His auds swiveled spontaneously as they picked up the sound of jets flying somewhere beyond his line of sight. His optics flashed with blue light as instinctively the laser cannons on his haunches rotated seeking for targets, only to be hindered in movement by the bot slung over his back. He allowed his body to relax a little, he was jumpy. He needed to get this fallen soldier to a medic and these distractions were wasting time. He scanned the area attempting to use his pathfinder to gain his location. The battle had turned the area into an unrecognizable waste.

Then his com picked up an order from Silverbolt , apparently transports were coming. The Cybertronic Dire-wolf lifted his head to see if any were in position. Then quickly scolded himself for being over anxious. He let out a heavy sigh, and in doing so picked up the scent of a severely injured Autobot his optics dimmed a moment as he thought to himself, ~ sometimes this alt mode creeps me out ~ . Like a wolf he had sniffed out the injured. He approached at a walk not trying to hide his movements. A small group of Autobots came into view as he rounded a large piece of scrap. He recognized one of them by his function the medic Archangel, they had never met before but Sub-Zero knew who he was from seeing him around.

He stopped a few feet from the medic and his patient, gently he lowered his charge to the ground then transformed. He knelt beside his injured cargo making sure he did not cause any more damage then addressed The medic.

“I heard the transmission about the transports, I guess Lady luck has favor for me today. I’m gad I found you, I don’t know what this soldier’s injuries are, I tried my best to keep him going, but I’m not a medic and don’t have the first clue. I’ll help you in any way I can just point me in the right direction.“
He paused and as an afterthought said, as he looked from bot to bot.
“The name’s Sub-Zero, I don’t think I’ve met you guys.”

Outskirts of Polyhex - En Route to Killzone

A handful of heavy steps brought Heap outside of Polyhex, after releasing his charges to the medical staff inside the base. He spotted the gathering of 'Cons on his viewfinder. Noting they were far enough away that his vehicle form would take to long to get there, Heap sighed at the conclusion this brought him to. Removing his battlemask and visor, he blinks his optics a bit, adjusting them to the different spectrum outside his visor. Then, he flies.

It wasn't as natural a motion for him as other Decepticons. Hovering a few feet in the air, he lurches forward a bit before ascending to a proper altitude and slowly flying towards the assembled group, keeping his optics locked forward. It wasn't that he was afraid of height or suffering some internal malfunction; he had just never felt comfortable in the air. Moving over towards the improptu convoy, he calls over his comm, [/i]This is Heap; I'm en route. He keeps the message short, focusing on getting there and out of the sky as fast as possible.

Grave's position

Copy Heap, this is Warthog. I suggest you keep your optics peeled, we've had scavvie troubles

Warthog's sensors do a casual scan of his load; with Grave now onboard, it was a pretty hefty load. The old warrior can take a lot of punishment himself, but hes worried about getting his cargo in safely now. Regardless of what other Decepticons might think, Warthog knew that they had to stick together just as tightly as the Autobots if they wanted to survive.
