For a frikin' repaint, Black Convoy aka Scourge is one bad@ss looking solid figure. I just picked up mine MISB and was I floored or what?! I had many opportunities to get the re-issue Laser Convoy(the original mold + electronics) even at rock bottom prices but I just couldn't make the purchase because it kind of sucked on the paint apps/color molding............Convoy looked too light red almost pink and the blue was like an Ultra Magnus shade not the dark violet blue of Convoy.

Black Convoy on the other hand.........from his light piped optics to his menacing visage is all that and more. Heck, displaying him in the shadows makes him even more menacing.Looking like in stealth camo with only the teal color patterns being visible (kind of like the scene in Unicron's belly just before Hotrod and Galvatron fought for the Matrix)

He also comes armed to the teeth! An energon pink sword (who says bad@ss' don't wear pink?)Not counting the chromed tanker (well a bit of a problem)he has a double barreled cannon weapon, air powered missiles, disc launchers and dart like missiles plus his uber looking base modes.

Have I missed anything more? Btw if you want to get one I have the site were you can purchase one ( last count I saw 5 MISB Black Convoys and another 5 Beastwars2 Magmatrons), just pm me.

It is a great mold. I remember I scored one mib, althought the box was TRASHED on ebay for just under 30 bucks. It was right when TF1 came out and everyone was movieverse crazy, so I was able to score him on the cheap.

I picked one up a year or two ago, had a friend with a Laser Prime (original G2) so I figured I knew what to expect. Not even close. The paint scheme on Black Convoy does the mold a world of difference, and as the figure that started the Scourge repaint craze, it still did it best. Easily one of my favourite TF purchases.

This is one of the largest improvements to the appearance of a figure through repainting. Lazer Prime looks cheap and tacky but Scourge looks great.

I have had mine for about 8 years now. had to replace the gun, and I lost the box he came in, but I like him better than the Scourge repaint eventhough the differences are minor. However, the TF2000 B Convoy is sturdier in the legs. I have had both of them at the same time at one point, but I traded Scourge for C Wing Saber. Also, the homage to G2 with the upside down G2 Autobot insignia should be enough to make you say..."BAD ASS!!!"

He is the equivalent to G1 Prime as the leader of Black Unicron's Dark Convoy group. I now have have 5 Nemesis Primes in the group.

Black Convoy - Tf2000
Super Black - Altrenity
TvBoy Magazine Black Convoy -- Micron Legend
Nemesis Prime -- Target Universe
Nemesis Prime II aka Ultra Convoy -- SDCC Nemesis Prime with Shadow Commander Armor.

Why do the evil clones have to be so appealing? I only have Spychanger Scourge but want more  Especially Car Robot Black Convoy, Micron Legend Scourge, Mammoth Nemesis Prime and possibly Alternity Convoy Super Black.

Well in my opinion Black Convoy/ RiD Scourge is the only evil clone worthy of existing.
One of the best TFs ever.

Scourge is just pure win. I first say him at the TRU Times Square store in 2002. I wasn't watching RID or collecting TF's at the time but he looked completely bad ass and I almost bought him.... almost.... I didn't as I didn't have the room in my bags for the flight home.

Luckily I was able to score one about 4 years ago, and he instantly became one of the highlights of my collection at that point and still holds a place of honour on the top of my computer desk.

Once I ran an Anime festival with over 6,000 attendees. Now... not so much.

RiD Scourge is very cool. It's simply a great looking figure. I'd like to get one someday for sure.

RID Scourge is a cool substitute if you can't find Black Convoy, but what always put me off from Scourge and Runination was those damn Decepticon symbols in place of the upside down G2 Autobot symbols. Even in the show when it aired in the US, Valdigus and Black Convoy had the inverted G2 Autobot symbols. Since I had most of the TF2000 toys before the US premiere of the show and toy line, I really was disappointing with Scourge.

Here's my Black Convoy Group pictures:
