I will admit I am double posting, I remembered something and wanted share this with y'all after I posted my answer.

During college, my University celebrated HAL 9000's birth. In the novel 2001, HAL was born in alma mater in 1997. Which university was HAL born in and I(unfortunately) graduated from?

A. University of Texas
B. MIT
C. University of Oregon
D. Yale
E. University of Illinois
F. Harvard

BTW, that university would create something as evil as HAL 9000.

The answer to yesterday's question was C. Bf 109, congratulations Henry921! The bonus question answers are kinda tricky. The MIG-29(like most Russian war planes) was never given a official name. NATO did designate it as the Fulcrum, I would have accepted that as an answer. The P-51 was named the Mustang. The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was also never given an official name. Finally the F-15 is named the Eagle(or some variant with Eagle in it).

Today's trivia question.

How many actual States are in the United States of America?

A. 50

B. 52

C. 46

D. 48

Easy: A. 50. I'm not gonna name them all plus their capitals mind you (who can actually?). Some people say either 48 or 52, because of Alaska and Hawaii. Either they're not counted at all or counted double
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

- TR Twinferno & Grotusque
- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1 (plus repro Victorion hands and feet?)

In the continental US? 48. Actual states with actual State powers? (IE, seats in Congress) 50. In total, counting states that don't actually have all the powers of a state? 52, if memory serves.

Oh yeah, New Jersey isn't a state, is it? It's more of a tumor growing off of New York.

Sheesh, splitting hairs over States vs. Commonwealths. If we're going that route, KY (yummy chicken), PA, MA and VA are Commonwealths. WA however, is not.

The answer to yesterday's question was C. 46. It's kinda along the lines of every Commonwealth is a State , but not all States are Commonwealths.

The answer to this question was E. Arthur C Clarke picked this university as Hal's birthplace because of the supercomputer already developed there (Illiac, etc).
