Hehe, indeed. When I hear BFG I remember a tiny game, I don't believe it was in anyway influential to the progress of the game genre. Oh, the game was called Doom btw, heard of that? You should, for a long long time, 1st person shooters were known as Doom style games. While it was not the first FPS, it is almost certainly the one who brought the genre into the public eye and if not for it, games like Halo would not be what they are today.

When all's said and done, I'm pretty sure Roald Dahl invented the BFG ;)

I thought that too! TBH, I'm only really interested in what they do to Shockwave. If that toy's in any way passable as a G1 Shockwave, the existance of DOTM will be justified in my eyes. End of the day, if he's purple-ish and has THE Shockwave head, I'll buy it.

Yeah, I never seen it on here sadly. But to me the tanker looks alot like Mixmaster given the same paint, slightly same alt mode and just overall look.

It's not Mixmaster, and Hasbro requested that we take the news down.

ah ok that explains where the news went lol. are you sure its not the master? also tfw toke down the pics.

TFW is too late. A guy already put up a YouTube video with both pictures in it.

What an odd cannon thing on the hood.
That spoiler it totally there just to force people to buy the "Movie 3 accurate" version.
The Tanker Truck thing looked cool, while it lasted, really hoping it's not Megatron like that rumor said...

I've got BBBB on my desktop right now, and his waist actually pivots on a swivel joint (don't know if that's the right word for it)--the older versions [2007 BB, ROTF Preview BB] have ball joints.

Structurally, he has a lot more in common with HA BB than the deluxes, except for the way legs transform.

I know this is just proto-type pictures, but I do not like. Even without the enormous gray junk. Aestheticly, it looks like they took a step back from BBBB.

I admit I skimmed through the first 6 pages, but...

What if each DoTM figure comes with a piece of a larger figure? By this I mean, it's a gun, etc. for an individual figure, but when you put them all together they form another figure?

Just a stoner thought I had, looking at that "thing" on BB's hood.

I think it'd be a fun/cheap enough gimmick to get kids to buy toys.
The Combiner gimmick always worked on me at least when I was little, I tried to buy all of the "Commandos" even though I hated RID JUST because they combined...

You guys really expect a whole new mold after we just got one? And I'm sure they'll whip up a new one in late 2011 or 2012 sometime just to sell more Bees. I wouldn't fret. At least he looks like the actual movie car.

You need to chill out, no one's bitching about this not being a new mold. And we never just got a new mold in BB Bumblebee, it's a heavy retool of Camaro Concept Bumblebee in '07, they've been using the same waist for the past 3 years.

Mindmaster wrote:Ditto, but I just think they're worried that some other toy company'll see the images then they'll quickly make their own version of the dude before Hasbro could say "What?", thus making Hasbro's version of it an unofficial "knock-off" of the other toy company's toy. Just saying, now let the rude comments about my speculation begin.

That's ridiculous.. Hasbro just wants to hold off on Movie figures, that's how's it been since the first movie. It's because there are so many different parties involved, Dreamworks, Paramount, General Motors, etc.

Blurrz, you were kind of rude to our fellow fans, OptiMagnus10 and Mindmaster. OptiMagnus was clearly just being sarcastic with good humor, and Mindmaster literally added a disclaimer about speculation. Even if we think each other's opinions are ridiculous, that gives no right to bite their heads off, especially as you're involved with news sourcing on a site that we all love, dedicated to an institution that we all love. Uncalled for.

Nah...I don't expect to see robot modes until March or April really. But just be patient and maybe something will come up sooner or later. I'm actually pretty content with just seeing vehicles right now.

Well, Hasbro has done it before, like the Marvel figures, Star Wars saga series, and the Beast Wars anniversary series. They all think kids are just stupid enough to dump all their money on an entire collection just to be able to build one toy. It's somewhat effective, but not completely. But hey, at least you get something else out of it if you're a completionist.

From what I found out recently, that part might be for the new gimmick with this line called Mechtech which involves interchangable weapons some of which can transform.
