I'm not sure if there is a location on the site that lists information on all weaponry available in the Heavy Metal Wars (game). But if there is, could you please let me know? I sometimes purchase weapons that I would really like to know more about. Thanks!

nothing tells you the nubers damage, just "moderate to heavy" and the sort.

at low levels (ok, its all low levels but i mean 0-1-2) null-ray is best bang for the buck

I already know about the Buy/Install Weapons page. I mean a extended info Database. Like when you read about a Null Ray you think of Starscream's weaponry and can pretty much picture how it looks. You might even be able to find a very in depth description regarding what it actually does.

Or when you read Particle beam Cannon, you think of Megatron's Cannon from G1. And you can find an image and even more info sometimes. If there isn't a database, I wish someone would take the time to try and create one? Hmm, maybe I should make the database for one of my own sites?

Anyhow I recently saw this weapon called: "Metallikato" and I have no idea what it looks like, or what it does. I thought most of the weapons on HMW actually came from the Transformers Universe?

also it has been said that weapon descriptions were purposfully left out so people can imagine or describe it however they see fit. like one person liked to envison the Double-Barreled Plasma Shell Shotgun on his aircraft carrier as smokestacks, or when Spaz (with a cat alt mode) had a Razor Tipped Wing Sword i imagined it as a big bird feather sticking out of her mouth.

the fusion cannon is megatrons weapon, but if someone else had one it would probably look different

Which generations of Megatrons use the Fusion Cannon? Here is my original Megatron's stat card with listed weapon:

With awesome added ability mentioned.. "Can link up interdimensionally to a black hole and draw anti-matter from it for use as a weapon. No known weakness." ((Bite that Fallen!!! :evil:

)) The original Megatron even beats the hell out of the new ROTF Megatron.

If you guys want to make it all up yourselves feel free, but for the more detemined amongst you, there always the HMW Wiki that Eeep created.

Its not an official HMW resource, and the staff here are not responsible for what's in it but, at the very least, its a place to store your bio's and fanfic stuff where all the players can see it.

The HMW wiki is awesome, i no longer have to worry about resets and bios being destroyed...yay! Don't know if i want to put my fanfic on there though.....

Great idea, doesn't seem like it's been used a lot.

That is because its fairly new. I made it for everything related to HMW whether it be weapon descriptions, character bios, or fan fics.

So Evolution Prime, do the original Takara Megatron Tech-Specs have it wrong? Why does it say Megatron "Fires Particle Beam Cannon"? Or could the "Particle Beam Cannon" be the same thing as a "Fusion Cannon"? Sort of how the "All Spark" can be also be called the "Cube" :???:

As for your Fusion/Particle Beam conumdrum; its been Fusion Cannon in pretty much every form of media since the original tech specs including most if not all of G1, and considering how inaccurate various original tech specs are (Rumble and Frenzy's infamous color swapping, and Thundercracker and Skywarp are also mixed up IIRC) so you cant rely on them to be definitive.

Oh I'm sorry I was just wondering if he knew the answer because he had a Wikipedia that maybe he knew about the weaponry. And yeah I remember how Frenzy and Rumble were color swapped. I was told a longtime ago that the cartoon was inaccurate. Mainly because the cartoon and comics all revolved around the toy line which came out first through Japan. I'm starting to believe that the Particle Beam Cannon is another name for a Fusion Cannon. In Nuclear fusion - a process by which multiple like-charged atomic nuclei or "particles" of nuclei join together to form a heavier nucleus. It is accompanied by the release of energy. Hehe... I'm not trying to put anyone on the spot. Just my Decepticon interest in Weaponry coming out. :-B

Yeah, but that was the Webmaster's own "typing". Where is his actual scan of the Tech-specs from the back of the box he got that from? And all the other sites that list it as Fusion may have read if from his site and just copied that info onto theirs. Or he took his site's info from someone else's. Scan the actual Tech-Specs from the Toy's original 84' box and then show me. I can email you the full scan of the actual Card board cut out of the Tech-specs if you like. It will be larger and easier to read. There is a Box art thread on Seibertron.com. Do they have scanned Box Art Tech-Specs?

Fans who are trying to learn these things often times copy their info from other fans who may not have the earliest info. Or Maybe depending on country, the weapon title has changed. The Box that my brother's Megatron came in was sold in America. And did not have any Japanese writing on it. Maybe the Japanese uses words meaning: "Fusion Cannon" where as the American boxing translated it as "Particle Beam Cannon"? Show me the box art saying "Fusion Cannon"? Or ask that Webmaster who posted that info to produce his source of info?

@Psychout: But of course Black holes are made when a Star goes Super Nova. A Sun/Star also produces Nuclear Fusion. So if Megatron's cannon uses a power close to energy from a Sun why not from a Black Hole? It mentions Anti-Matter?

also in the world of transformers, whats written on the box is the last reference point, after cartoon and comic appearences. the box's tend to give a starting point for the bio's, but sometimes they clash with the caracter bio from other continuities.

Which came first Marvel's Comics of Transformers or the "Hasbro" toy line -Takara (Japanese Makers) Transformers? I would think Hasbro's created and have all rights to Transformers. But again 'Fusion Cannon' and 'Particle Beam Cannon' maybe one and the same thing. I don't think Marvel/Stan Lee has the copyrights just yet.

who wrote more simon furman, or some guy at hasbro? ask anyone whos bio they give more credit to someone who wrote in the comic, or someone who wrote the toy bio. comic wins every time.

the box scan doesn't actually name it. its like sayin i got a pistol. not a walter p-38. we may be splitting hairs here, but as a whole the transformers community accepts the Fusion cannon. In dw or idw starscream gave it to him. In marvel, he always had it.

The changing and altering of the Original Transformers didn't suddenly start with Michael Bay and Dreamworks. But Hasbro only cared about profits and didn't argue over the changes Marvel decided on.

Hehe, you're arguing with me over which weapon Megatron is known for. He's known for both in the earliest times. But in every Series with a Megatron he had many other kinds of weapons. Stop arguing, every generation Megatron has changed form and alt-modes and in weaponry. In my childhood he had the Particle Beam Cannon as a Toy, and in the Cartoons. But in the Comics which even my second oldest brother collected he had the Fusion Cannon apparently. So he's known by both. In Wikipedia even minor alterations can be listed and both are accurate and correct. So what the hell? Just except that Transformers is different all the time. And calm down. At least you know how it was in the beginning. :mrgreen:

Hehe, I dug up all of my oldest brother's old brochures from the 84'-86' Transformers. That was the backside of Skywarp's mini brochure. You might see a little of his name backwards in the scan. Hehe, one thing I loved the most as a kid was rubbing those color changing black heat sensing labels on the toys. Did you ever see those? You rub and heat the label up until the insignia of the "Faction" appears telling you which side the Transformer is affiliated with. I always loved those.

I'm not sure if you were around back in 84'-87' but do you remember this brochure?

I actually found a member of S.T.A.R.S. on Seibertron.com this morning. It's awesome hearing about how he did got the; "Transformers Control Center" for the club. I wish I could have joined.

i still have most of my g1 toys. had the boxes till i was 10 and my parents threw them out

(its garbage, blah blah blah)

i never had the seekers tho. in storage i got astrotrain, wreck-gar, power master optimus, most of the classics pretenders, blurr, battlechargers, throttle bots, shockwave, seaspray, and some others. also a lot of gi joes and silver hawsks toys. some mask figures. cant find my decepticon shield/helmet/belt/gun. and got an old optimus helmet.

now i just get an occasional figure, been gettin a few animated figures, lookin for some universe figs.

as far as the 84-87 line goes, i was 4 at the end of that, but my parents had the foresight to get me started young.
