Decepticon alt modes.
It makes me wonder why Bonecrusher chose the Buffalo MC Vehicle as his alt mode.

The Buffalo's prime purpose is to detect and dig out land mines. To save lives. Not to destroy the enemy. Not fire-power stuff.
And usually it is stored up in the military base, unless deployed in far-flung warring countries.

Wreckage was sposed to be in the movie, his name was stiker, so that design was taken.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

It's kinda like Barricade choosing to be a police car: they became something we use to protect and they turn it into something used to destroy. It's the whole "deception" part of being a Decepticon.

I think Bonecrusher preferred ripping things apart with his bare hands instead of blasting them. That's how much he hated things. Besides, what's more satisfying for a destruction loving Decepticon? Shooting things or ripping things apart like a berserk maniac? With his claws, tough body, and vicegrip Bonecrusher didn't have to worry about petty things like ammunition. The Buffalo was a perfect choice because it's a big, beefy machine.
Firepower isn't the only thing that makes a good Decepticon.

But a police car presents an opportunity to deceive and intimidate. To be undercover.
I don't see similar usefulness for Buffalo MCV.

He took that mode because he was hiding on a base where a Buffalo mine clearer wouldnt be noticed
He could have changed his mode at any time, and if he'd survived longer just might have
Personally, the chance to have a giant wrecking claw would have convinced me to take that form

Did it occur to any of you that during the time of the beast wars there was a toy called Bonecrrusher that turned into a buffalo???
Dose that help or not...
Maybe its a tribute to what has come before like when they try to sell Sam a Volkswagen.

He hates everything, including traffic jam. Instead of using just an intimidation factor to clear out cars, he uses physical arms to dumb the crowded cars out of his way.
That's why the Buffalo design fully supports his sense of madness.

Because it's armored. And Bonecrusher doesn't like his alt mode cos he HATES everything.

bonecrusher
i think i read this at Teletraan 1 wiki, the writers were drawn to the Buffalo vehicle by the company (Armored Force? something Armored...) ad online, which featured a claw that was much bigger than real life (real life claw only about a foot wide). i think by the time they realized the actual claw was small, they were already committed to the idea and simply went with a large CGI claw.

Maybe 'cuz he ahd nothing else to scan where he landed. Or maybe because the name Bonecrusher is doomed to be related to Buffalo and Bulldozer!
But he hates that! And his Alt-mode too!
