Shockwave's Laboratory

Thunderwing had followed the other members of the Decepticon high command as they, in turn, followed Megatron to the arguably most secure place on board the vessel apart from the bridge. Thunderwing had no doubt that Shockwave had secured his personal workspace aboard a ship that he himself designed.

Seeing Megatron disconnect his most recognizable weapon had been admittedly jarring. It was a reasonable sign that Megatron once again had control of his mental faculties, but for how long? Clearly it was a risk that none of them, Megatron included, wished to take. As a scientist himself, Thunderwing knew the laboratory environment would be the one most conducive to getting the answers they all sought.

Thunderwing listened as Megatron addressed Razorclaw. Megatron had always been a warlord in truest sense of the word. He had the capabilities of the finest warriors, forged in the gladiator pits. He had the mind of a tactician, waging war against Cybertron's best Autobot generals and the charisma to lead an army of very disparate personalities. That rare mix of qualities was one of the few--and perhaps the only--reasons he had earned the Valckastan Warlord's loyalty.

"Lord Megatron, can you recall anything from the time since you disappeared at the Terran volcano site? Perhaps if we have somewhere to begin, we can more quickly eliminate whatever is...ailing you. With your permission, of course, I can begin preliminary scans of your vital components."

Bonecrusher pressed through the Med Bay after slipping off of Longhaul's alt mode at the entrance. A slice had been cut through his whole torso, and Bonecrusher was trying to literally hold himself together by locking his arms together. It was all he could do to avoid screeching in pain, though the injury was making his mind hazed to the point of beginning to lose all feeling.

Bonecrusher crawled on the floor slowly until he was able to climb up and lay on one of the berths. Energon began to pour out slowly. He needed repairs badly.

Thundercracker materialized alongside his fellow Seekers and the Combaticons. After dry heaving for a moment, he recovered quickly -though not as quickly as Skywarp. He composed himself and addressed Nightraven and Skywarp.

Skywarp wrote:“Well, I think I’ll head down to the med bay and get this wing looked at. “I guess I’ll catch up with you guys later.”

Thundercracker pointed to a hole in his lower abdomen. "She got me too when we flew by with those pistols of hers. Just cosmetic damage. I don't want to be left with these brutes any more than either of you do."

With that, Thundercracker stepped down from the bounce pad and followed Skywarp out.

Deck 9 - Corridors

Headstrong watched Megatron and Razorclaw walk off. He was unsure of what to. Neither his commander or his Lord had given him an order to follow them or to stay behind. But with all the brass with them, Headstrong decided it best to stay with his fellow Predacons.

Headstrong huffed and turned to Tantrum and the rest of his team that were still there. "I'm bored. What do you guys wanna do?"

Deck 9 - Outer Corridors

Slipstream jumped back as Doomshot barreled his way past her and Aegis. That isn't the way I wanted to go.

Seeing no better option, Slipstream turned on her heel to follow. A voice from behind her in the shadows made the spy jump. She chastised herself not noticing her fellow Seeker until now.

Nacelle wrote:"You would never change, would you...Slipstream?"

"Nacelle," Slipstream said. "What a pleasure. And what do you mean, I never change?"

Slipstream tensed up and moved slightly closed to Aegis. "And I'm curious as to why our esteemed leader is gone nuts on his troops. And yes, he does have a habit of going off on us when something doesn't go his way, but a brawl like this? That's beneath him. You and I both know it."

After materializing back aboard the warship, Onslaught took a few steps forward and watched the rest of his team continue through. Off-road made a comment about being “home”, which to some degree he was right about. It wasn't the Obliteration, but since leaving Cybertron it seemed like starship life wasn’t the closest thing they had to any home at this point.

”What the frag?” Vortex remarked at the emergency klaxons Onslaught only just tuned in to.

“That can’t be good...” The Combaticon commander stated as he began to take big strides towards the Bridge, hoping to find the source of whatever incident was taking place beforehand. As he began to move, he issued his command. “Blast-Off, help Vortex to the Med-Bay! Brawl, Swindle, Off-Road, with me!”

>>”Lord Razorclaw, we just returned from the surface! Alarms are going off in all directions, are we under attack?!”<<

Med Bay

”Can you make it to the berth over there?”

“Don’t worry, I got him.” Long Haul murmured in almost a painful moan as he transformed back into his robot mode. He grabbed a hold of Bonecrusher who was struggling to climb onto the medical berth and eased him up. Oh how his joints ached, but at least he wasn’t looking like ‘Crusher here was. Poor guy, nearly ripped through and bleeding out like no one’s business. The transporter hugged at his side and felt the oozing of Energon leaking from himself.

“Blegh... we almost had them!” Long Haul cursed. “Hook, we were- we were this close!” He barked to the surgeon, his thumb and index digits barely an inch apart.

Corridors

When he returned to the ship, Flamewar nearly darted away in such a rush that Warwolf wasn’t able to properly follow her. Then the alarms went off and all hell seemed to have broke loose. Everyone was running about frantically and in disarray. Blitzwing had taken off in such a hot hurry too that the interrogator was left to his own devices with the likes of Misfire.

“You think we’re under attack?” The spray-and-prayer inquired.

“You would’ve thought so given the alarms.” Warwolf nearly growled. “Cmon, we’ll get answers one way or another.”

Deck 9 - Corridors

”Not What I wanted to deal with today.”

Rampage couldn’t help but scratch at the playing on the back of his head. First Megatron came back, then he was fighting, and now he’s okay?! On top of all that, Razorclaw bent the knee so easily upon his majesty’s return that their place at the top of the food chain just got kicked back down a notch or two... Or maybe even three!

“I don’t- I mean- What just happened?!”

Appearing from around the corridor, Blitzwing barged in hubs ready and pointed it toward his fellow Decepticons.

“What’s going on?!” The commando demanded. “What’s with the alarms?!”

“It’s... It’s Megatron.” Rampage flabbergastedly huffed, still unsure.

“What? You mean, he’s back?!”

The Predacon looked towards the commando’s optical visor.

“Well... kinda?” The tigerformer looked to the rest of his cohorts, unsure of what exactly to report. “Guys?”

Shockwave’s Lab

As soon as it all began, it was over. For the most part Megatron seemed to be back to himself. He was wise to heed caution and take himself to be looked over in the military strategist’s lab.

”However, that right time you spoke of is right now. Soundwave. To my side.”

“Lord Megatron,” The communications officer quickly responded making his way to his usual spot beside his lord commander, “I am here, ready to serve once more.”

Bonecrusher felt more rage than Longhaul ever could regarding the situation. In fact, his rage is all that was keeping him conscious.

"Egh- ...I REFUSE to... let some dinobird SCRAPLET make me lose my FRAGGING CONSCIOUSNESS," blurted Bonecrusher painfully, and in a highly enraged tone.

The bulldozer Constructicon then looked down over himself to assess what kind of damage he possibly took. It was... a mess.

"Ngh- I'm... Gonna... need a lotta new parts..."

Onslaught wrote:"Brawl, Swindle, Off-Road, with me!"

"Roger roger." Offroad chuckled. As the klaxons rang hard, the extreme-conditions warrior drew out his twin submachine guns, one in each hand, and darted out the bounce chamber, with the others presumably following behind.

[Corridors]

Heading to the source of the klaxon's noise, it was quite obvious that a lot of chaos had occurred. Things just looked like they were a mess. The sound of the klaxons was getting quite repetitive and, frankly enough, a bit irritating, but Offroad had handled much worse. Still, he had to suppress the temptation to just find the sound box of the klaxon and inject some bullets into it.

Turning the corner, the green-faced saw a thing of beauty. The hole in the corridor that had been ripped right through as if some turbofox's meal.

"Looks like we've found the spot." He grinned.

Flamewar had managed to fade to the background in the wake of Megatron returning to his senses. The devout and highly ranked flocked to his side and began to escort him to Shockwave’s labs to discover what had affected him. She merely watched them go off ahead, forgotten in the commotion. Flamewar smiled, genuinely if a little wryly. Being relegated back to the shadows was her wont now that Megatron had returned. But she had her duties to attend to until he was once again whole.

Walking over to Megatron’s discarded fusion cannon, Flamewar collected it, moving off back toward the hangar where her shuttle waited. She would secure this for him until such a time came that he, of whole and sound mind, desired to take it up again.

It was a fairly swift trip. She secured the device that had served to incapacitate Megatron for a time as well as his fusion cannon. Sealing her shuttle behind her after putting in place special measures for anyone who tried to break in to take the precious cargo aboard, Flamewar made her way to where rest of high command had gone.

Shockwave’s Lab

When Soundwave was called to Megatron’s side, Ravage went with him, easily forgotten due to his innate stealth systems. Sitting down between Soundwave and the berth, Ravage bumped his head against Megatron’s hand regardless of the dangers that posed. He was utterly pleased that Megatron had returned to them. Ravage ought to have expected as much. It had been foolish of him to think otherwise, but…assuming the worst managed to keep him alive more times than the former.

With a sudden hiss, the doors opened. Ravage tensed, optics immediately going to this new arrival. Flamewar. She stepped in with an unreadable expression. Late. Why was she late? For how she claimed to be a loyalist, that was highly questionable behavior. Even Thunderwing was punctual.

Keeping to the back of the assembled mechs and taking a place slightly behind Sixshot, Flamewar stood and looked on Megatron, her face trained to show not even one iota of what thoughts were rattling about her in her. Ravage glared. Not that it mattered much with Soundwave here.

Flamewar merely stared at Megatron. Perhaps waiting to be called upon in some fashion.

"To the med bay?" Vortex questioned. He wasn't injured.

Oh wait, that stupid rotor hit he took needed to be fixed. Fraggin' Autoslags.

"Ah, right, nevermind. Let's go, Blasters. Hopefully there's a greenie or two in there that can get this fixed real quick. Did you take any damage down there?"

Med-Bay

“Don’t worry, I got him,” Long Haul said as he assisted Bonecrusher to one of the examination areas and Hook readied the equipment he would need in order to accommodate major repairs. Finally, a legitimate surgical suite to operate within. It had been too long.

“Blegh... we almost had them! Hook, we were- we were this close!”

"I know. We're on the right track with Devastator. He just needs a little refinement. The next time, the Dinobots will be no match for him. Very little will," Hook said, guiding Long Haul to a berth next to Bonecrusher so that he could more easily work on both of them. "Now just relax and try to cover that side wound so you both don't bleed out all over the med bay."

Hook then returned to Bonecrusher--decidedly the most injured out of all of them--and began working on sealing off his most glaring injuries with a laser scalpel.

"You always bite off more than you can chew, Bones."

"I'm bored. What do you guys wanna do?" Headstrong asked. The question actually made Tantrum chuckle.

"Bored? Heh. Only you'd get bored that fast," the Predacon taunted, even though he somewhat agreed. The crash after the rush of battle was harsh. Especially on Predacon warlords.

"What I could go for is another solid hit of that ultra-energon stuff they cooked up from the Ore-13."

Nacelle looked towards Slipstream when she jumped and noticed that he was there. He crossed his arms over his cockpit in regards to her response.

"So what...it does not really matter in regards to my thoughts about you never change, Slipstream. Right now..."

He looked over at Aegis who is being awfully silent at the moment. It makes him wonder if he could trust Aegis considering he has heard how legendary his loyalty is to Megatron. However, he hoped that he would join in the conservation.

Nacelle wrote:"I would be more concerned about what is happening to Megatron. In recent times, I have not interacted with Lord Megatron but based on your recent conservation with Aegis...I feel that we ought to be concerned for him."

Oh yes. Nacelle was one of them. Those that revered the Slagmaker as all but a deity. It sickened the Seeker femme to her core. Apparently her new 'friend' thought the same. A shame, really.

Slipstream's voice grew hard. "Of course I'm worried about him. However, such concerns are over our pay grade. Let's just assume our leader is the strong, indestructible bot he is and let the big boys handle it?"

Of course it was a bunch of scrap. Slipstream wanted to know what happened just as much as any one as the Megatron loyalists. She just had different reasons in mind.

She sighed. "But if you are so curious, let's go follow the big guy. C'mon Aegis."

Slipstream turned on her heel and motioned for them to follow.

“That you will, Razorclaw. It pleases me that my empire has not collapsed into civil war in my absence--a reality I was very much expecting if my leadership were removed. You are to be commended. However, that right time you spoke of is right now.”

Razorclaw nodded his head in appreciation as Megatron finished speaking, making his way to one of the medical berths and laying down onto it. The slagmaker then called Soundwave to his side before instructing Shockwave to secure him. The Communications Expert obediently did what he was told, taking up his usual position next to the Decepticon Supreme Commander. Flamewar was in the room, as well, but remained silent. Thunderwing, however, began asking Megatron questions regarding what he could remember after his disappearance from the volcano site before then asking permission to scan his vital components.

The Predacon Commander eyed the carapace ladened mech carefully. Razorclaw didn’t trust Thunderwing any more than he trusted Starscream. Not long ago the warlord made an attempt at the throne. Had his interest in becoming the new Supreme Commander changed because Megatron had now returned or was Thunderwing still plotting to take the Decepticon leadership for himself? This offer to aid the slagmaker could just be a veiled attempt to gain information he could later use against Megatron.

“Perhaps Shockwave should be the one to thoroughly examine you, Lord Megatron,” Razorclaw interjected, keeping his optics fixated on Thunderwing for a moment before turning his attention back to the slagmaker. “As long as that is okay with you, my liege.” The tone in Razorclaw’s vocals was one of mistrust towards the Valkasta warlord and the lion-former hoped that Megatron would pick up on that.

>>”Lord Razorclaw, we just returned from the surface! Alarms are going off in all directions, are we under attack?!”<<

A transmission from Onslaught came across Razorclaw's comm line. The Predacon Commander immediately opened a channel back to his long time supporter:

>>Onslaught, this is Razorclaw. We were under attack but no longer are. It was Megatron! He has returned to us! Report to Shockwave's lab at once."<<

Cutting his comm line, Razorclaw returned his attention to Megatron. “As for bringing you up to speed on everything that has transpired during your absence, my lord, there are detailed logs on the Thanatos’ main computer which should give you the complete picture of events. However, I will give you a summary that should suffice until you are able to read them,” Razorclaw continued as he sat down on a chair next to the slagmaker's med berth.

“I first learned of your disappearance while my Predacons and I were still away on our mission to Cybertron. Shockwave decided to take command at that point. It was also there that the seeds were sown between myself, Onslaught and the other specialty units to make a play for the throne. After a failed attempt to take control away from Shockwave, we returned to Earth where Shockwave sent my Predacons and I to arrest Starscream. I defeated Starscream after a brief battle and ultimately brought him back to the Thanatos where Shockwave attempted to put him on trial. It was at that trial that I made my move against Shockwave. A battle ensued in the hangar bay between myself and Shockwave and also between our respective supporters. Shockwave was defeated but the conflict was not yet over. Thunderwing had decided to make a play for the throne, as well, and the battle continued. With the combined efforts of myself, my Predacons, the Combaticons and the Stunticons, Thunderwing was also defeated.”

Razorclaw paused for a moment to allow Megatron to absorb everything he had just said. “I wish I could say that I had accomplished this on my own, but that was not the case. Without my supporters I would’ve never won the throne. Afterwards, the Decepticons were united. The infighting had seemingly stopped. However, another threat arose in the form of the Fallen. The fiery demigod of legend had returned and possessed the Autobot Hot Rod. He also took control of four mechs, two Autobots and two of our own Decepticons, Drag Strip and Darkride. The Fallen called them heralds. Together, the Fallen and his heralds waged an unholy war against us down planetside in a place called Uluru. We formed a temporary truce with the Autobots to fight against this shared enemy. It was during this battle that the Constructicons unveiled a secret project they had been working on. They somehow modified themselves, allowing their bodies to combine to form one giant robot called Devastator. Ultimately, the Fallen was defeated and the truce with the Autobots ended. We have been picking up the pieces ever since.”

The Predacon Commander looked away for a few astroseconds before returning his attention to Megatron. “In all honesty, my lord, being the leader wasn’t what I expected. Politics is not something that I enjoy. In fact, I loathe it. I’d rather be on the battlefield leading my Predacons against the Autobots, not stuck in a war room or on a bridge while the battle plays out on a viewscreen. I went for the throne because I felt I was better suited than Shockwave or Thunderwing and especially Starscream. I wanted to protect the empire and give the specialty units more say, but I also knew there would be others who would eventually challenge me once word of your disappearance got out beyond the Sol System. More recently, I was seriously considering contacting Lord Scorponok in order to give the throne over to him willingly. He is, after all, your rightful successor, and it would allow me to get back to doing what I'm best at.”

“Suuuuuure you were,” Sixshot suddenly interjected in a sarcastic tone as he stood several feet behind Razorclaw. “And I’m one of the Knights of Cybertron. Please. You were going to try and use me as a weapon to take care of any challengers and you know it. That’s why you wanted my code changed so that you could control me. Let's not pretend that wasn't the case.”

Ignoring the phase sixer, an agitated Razorclaw took a deep intake of air and exhaled it. “I did the best that I could in your absence, my liege. I hope it was enough.”

“Dear Primus you sound like some kind of emotional protoform,” the sixchanger added as he let out an extended yawn. “And you call that a ‘summary’? Wow, I’d hate to hear the long version.”

Hazard was starting to get worried. Doomshot was nowhere to be found. His comm system was in the process of reboot, so he couldn't just call his brother up. As a result, the flier was stuck wondering the ship and calling for Doom.

"Doomy! Where are you? This isn't funny!"

So distracted was Hazard that he didn't notice the alarms signaling the chaos on the deck below. He turned a corner and was almost blindsided by a couple of Vehicons. "Watch it! There's people w-"

He cut himself off after catching eye of a large bot partially obscured by the shadows. Ah ha!

Hazard quickly peeled away from the Seekers and ran over to the figure. "There you are!"

The large mech turned to see a smaller flier approach him. There wasn't anyone behind him, but he didn't know this 'Con. Of course, there's only so many he would know, with an army this large.

"...Yes?" A single word escape his vocalizer. Dreadnaut's voice was dark, booming, echoing through the corridors. Yet there as this sort of subtlety, a calm behind the facade of roughness.

He took a step in the smaller mech's direction. He stood up straighter than he was before, his larger figure appearing as a more intimidating force. His body would have appeared to be a walking arsenal from afar.

Dreadnaut gave a simple inquisitive look to the flier, patiently waiting for a response.

"That sounds like fun! Where do we go to get that?" Headstrong asked.

Normally Tantrum wouldn't have access to that kind of information. But now that Razorclaw had been Supreme Commander of the Decepticons--and their own respective stations increased accordingly--it wasn't too hard to get access.

Pfeh. The labs. Couldn't go there right now. That's where all the rest of them surely went.

"Frag me, I almost forgot. Razorclaw loaded my tanks with the stuff once we synthesized our first batch. I stashed it in the barracks," Tantrum grunted as he stomped off. Yeah. Ultra-energon. That sounded like the best thing in the world right now.

The images and voices assembled in front of the Slagmaker of Tarn had an additional spark of reality to them, but he couldn't be entirely sure that his mind wasn't still playing its games. He had to be ready for another shift. At least in these environs he was perfectly familiar with how to proceed.

"Lord Megatron, can you recall anything from the time since you disappeared at the Terran volcano site? Perhaps if we have somewhere to begin, we can more quickly eliminate whatever is...ailing you. With your permission, of course, I can begin preliminary scans of your vital components," Thunderwing began, opening a line of questioning that would hopefully bring them one step--or several--closer to an answer. As Megatron turned to take in the Warlord of Valckasta, he was admittedly taken aback by what he had seen.

Thunderwing had mentioned on more than one occasion his desire to explore the limits of cyber-organic technology, but Megatron had no inkling that had meant he was going to use himself as a test subject. Apostasy.

“Perhaps Shockwave should be the one to thoroughly examine you, Lord Megatron. As long as that is okay with you, my liege,” Razorclaw added, voicing an unspoken concern as he did so.

"Agreed. Thunderwing--you are dismissed," Megatron growled, the displeasure at what he was looking at bleeding very obviously into his tone. "Proceed, Shockwave."

Shockwave's singular optic simply shifted from Razorclaw to Thunderwing and then back to Megatron before nodding and approaching the terminal closest to Megatron's berth so that he could commence his initial scans.

Megatron listened with great interest as Razorclaw gave him an adequate summation of what had happened in his absence. It was more than evident that Razorclaw had held things together--perhaps better than any of them here within this room could have--in his absence, but time was working against him. It would not have been much longer before this sector, and then the whole of the empire, would have collapsed into civil strife without his leadership. It was simply the nature of the beast he had created.

Beyond that, however, strides of progress had been made. A functional combiner at last? After how many vorns of trying to recreate the process that Nova Prime's lackey had concocted? Between that and the ore-13, the entire tide of the war should change.

Megatron held up a hand to silence Sixshot and Razorclaw's momentary bickering. Everything that had been said had been recorded--both by he himself as well as Soundwave and Ravage. He could parse it all apart later and decide what needed to be addressed most urgently. But he had to do so carefully. Until this....this plague...inside his mind was eradicated, he couldn't know for sure how much time he had to work with.

"My empire is not in flames. You did as well as I would expect of anyone who managed to ascend to the highest seat of power. Your reward will be considerable. I want nothing more than to finish terraforming this planet and its energy resources so that we can finally have access to a world with a potentially limitless energy supply....energy to fuel our final victory...but something about what made me do this...."

Megatron indicated the damage he had caused to the ship and his lieutenants.

"....is rooted on Cybertron. It's clear to me that the planet is not as dead as we originally thought. I see it as clearly as I see you now. So...I want answers, Shockwave. And if you cannot provide them, I will have to look to our homeworld."

When Megatron turned his gaze upon him, there was something highly unsettling in his glare. Thunderwing did not look away, though the temptation was there.

Only Razorclaw's interjected suggestion that Shockwave be the Decepticon scientist to handle the scans instead of he forced a shift in his focus--a shift that resulted in a glare of his own being directed at the Predacon Commander. How dare he insult him in such a manner before the Emperor of Destruction!

Thunderwing had almost opened his mouth to initiate a protest before Megatron himself spoke. His gaze had not shifted in the slightest.

"Agreed. Thunderwing--you are dismissed. Proceed, Shockwave," the Slagmaker said, leaving no room for debate. Thunderwing's body tightened and he could almost feel his spark shrinking incrementally. The sharpened teeth of his new outer carapace were grinding together.

"As...you wish, my lord," Thunderwing said before offering a curt bow, turning and stiffly departing the confines of Shockwave's laboratory.

Once back into the corridors proper, he paid no heed to any of the mechanoids gathered out there.

"Out of my way," Thunderwing hissed as he stalked off.

The doors to the medibay slid open and Vortex strode in. The place wasn't too crowded. Good. He wasn't feeling overly social, at least outside of other Combaticons. And just as luck would have it, there were some greenies about. One, two, three of 'em. Now it was just a matter of-ah, Hook, yep. He would do.

"Hey doc, Onslaught needs me fixed up. I took a shot in my rotor while we were down on the mudball."

The Constructicon Surgical Engineer, Hook, looked up from his work on Bonecrusher, appraising the damage that the Combaticon had sustained. He clearly was not impressed.

"Over there," Hook said, sighing. "You'll be waiting a bit. You're not a priority."

Aegis silently digested the information that was dispersed. Even when others ran off to go see how they could help, Aegis remained where he was, silent and pensive. Nacelle, one of the seekers, even came up to them expressing concerns about Lord Megatron. He wasn’t surprised by the reaction that it evoked. Such was Megatron’s ability to touch them with his mere presence or absence.

"But if you are so curious, let's go follow the big guy. C'mon Aegis."

“Alright…” Aegis finally managed, shaking himself from his reverie, “Let us see what more we can learn.” He said, striding after Slipstream, looking to Nacelle with his blue optics curiously. “Pardon me, I failed to greet you, Nacelle. I hope you can forgive me.” When they finally caught up to Doomshot, Aegis was unsurprised to see that Lord Megatron was nowhere to be found. However, there were signs of a scuffle and several mechanoids headed toward the labs. Presumably, where Lord Megatron had been taken.

One mech, however, stormed away from them, looking mightily displeased. Thunderwing. “Thunderwing, sir,” Aegis called out, “Did something happen?” he asked in reference to how upset the warlord appeared to be. “How fares Lord Megatron?”

“Boss?”

A pause.

“Boss?”

Scavenger tapped on Scrapper’s arm again. “It’s quiet, boss. Too quiet…” He rubbed his chin thoughtfully. This looked like a job for private optic Scavenger. He tapped on Scrapper’s arm again. “Boss, where do you think they went?”

- :CON: -

Weirdwolf had watched the proceedings with Megatron thoughtfully, not really motivated to lift a finger before he had determined what the situation was. But, ultimately, it seemed like Megatron had been the attack. Though his statement prior to leaving was baffling as well. He trailed along after the group a bit more slowly. He’d seen the question on Skullcruncher’s face. He could only really shrug in response.

Weirdwolf stood outside of the doors to the lab, watching as Flamewar arrived late and went in, offering a brief glimpse into the lab. Hm. Well, Megatron was in good hands and getting looked at by their finest minds. Should they guard the doors and shoo away the curious onlookers? Might not be a terrible idea.

When Thunderwing barged out with a scowl on his face and shoved someone out of the way, Weirdwolf’s opinion on the matter only solidified. It was the least they could do and they were well suited to it. He turned to Skullcruncher.

“Not certain I am of the circumstances, but seems it does that Lord Megatron in good hands is?” he commented to Skullcruncher before gesturing to the door, “Shall we see undisturbed he remains?”

"Over there," Hook said, sighing. "You'll be waiting a bit. You're not a priority."

“Not a priority?” Blast-Off scoffed as he strode in behind Vortex, escorting his teammate as asked. “Really? Do you not respect Razorclaw’s authority then?” He extended a hand out to Hook. “Rather…insubordinate of you…Constructicon.”

Their alliance with Razorclaw afforded the Combaticons an amount of privilege. They ruled together. And as such, their forces should be given priority over…others. They were simply above them. And Blast-Off expected to be treated as such. Even if it was just for Vortex. He leaned over to Vortex and murmured.

“Come now, Vortex. We’re in the ruling alliance. We’re allowed to indulge.”

Shockwave’s Laboratory

While most optics were turned inward to Lord Megatron, Ravage’s optics looked outward, studying and watching the faces of those assembled with the intensity expected of him. His gaze settled on Thunderwing in particular. The gnashing of his disgusting organic teeth. That hesitation. Ravage’s optics narrowed briefly, tensing before the warlord deigned to take his leave. After his departure, Ravage relaxed if only by a very slight margin.

Razorclaw’s story was serviceable. Certain details had been omitted but the Predacon had wanted to keep it relatively brief. Overall, Megatron seemed very pleased with Razorclaw, which left a sour taste. Not that Ravage had wanted Razorclaw to fail, but…Soundwave had certainly had a role and stabilizing the Decepticons. What Lord Megatron said next gave Ravage pause.

“Cybertron, my lord?” called Flamewar, voicing Ravage’s own thoughts, “What has led you to that conclusion if you will allow my asking?”

“Boss? Boss? It’s quiet, boss. Too quiet…Boss, where do you think they went?”

As Scrapper and his most erstwhile Constructicon associate made it to the area of the ship where the chaos that he had witnessed on the monitor had been taking place, all he saw was its aftermath. A few stray Decepticons. None of the principals that had been involved. No Megatron.

The area certainly looked as if it had been involved in a brawl with the Slagmaker though. He made a note to assign Vehicons to this area to begin the reconstruction process. Provided they had any remaining. Or had they spent them all in their various bouts of infighting over command as well as against the Fallen?

"To a laboratory. This is the Predacons' vessel, but Shockwave designed it. I know he had a lab integrated somewhere for when he was aboard."

It was a guess, but an educated one. If the melee was over, it was the next logical place for Megatron to be. And where Megatron was--particularly after his absence--many others would not be far. Scrapper had no intention of crowding what was surely to be a tense situation, unless the skills of he or his men were called for.

"Hook and the others are in the med bay. That's the best place for us until someone says otherwise."

Vortex sputtered at Hook's dismissive response. But before he got a word out, Blast-Off did.

“Not a priority? Really? Do you not respect Razorclaw’s authority then? Rather…insubordinate of you…Constructicon.”

Hah. Yeah. Exactly. That'd show him.

“Come now, Vortex. We’re in the ruling alliance. We’re allowed to indulge.”

"Yeah. What he said," Vortex nodded.

Before Hook could barely begin reassessing the extent of Bonecrusher's injuries, the Combaticon transport decided to throw his handful of shanix into the debate.

"Spare me your notions of fealty, Combaticon. If either of you were suffering greater injuries, I might feel compelled to address them first. Look at him," Hook said, indicating Bonecrusher's currently pitiful state as he continued to shore up the heaviest leaks with his torch. "Look at either of them. We just got out of a battle with the Dinobots. I daresay your little operation didn't have Grimlock bearing down on you. Besides...we're in a medical bay. I have seniority here. I'll fix who needs fixing and get to you when I can."

Shockwave's Laboratory

Shockwave paused momentarily in his preparations as Razorclaw made his proposal. In short order, Megatron confirmed the course of action to be in line with his own desires. Thunderwing would not take that well, but it was immaterial; with the caliber of Decepticons who were gathered in this room, there was absolutely nothing he could do but acquiesce. But Megatron went a step further and dismissed him entirely. There was animus in his tone and Shockwave could only infer that the highest statistical probability for that reaction lay in the alterations the warlord had done to himself.

He had made a strategic gamble to gain himself more power, but apparently had not considered Megatron's known disdain for organic species. Obviously the Valckastan warlord had never expected to have to deal with Megatron again. Another serious miscalculation.

More interesting, however, were Megatron's own insights as to what led to all this.

"My empire is not in flames. You did as well as I would expect of anyone who managed to ascend to the highest seat of power. Your reward will be considerable. I want nothing more than to finish terraforming this planet and its energy resources so that we can finally have access to a world with a potentially limitless energy supply....energy to fuel our final victory...but something about what made me do this.....is rooted on Cybertron. It's clear to me that the planet is not as dead as we originally thought. I see it as clearly as I see you now. So...I want answers, Shockwave. And if you cannot provide them, I will have to look to our homeworld."

"Declarative: all the terraforming resources from Cybertron were gathered by Razorclaw and myself, as you originally commanded prior to your disappearance. With the amount of Ore-13 that has been discovered on this world thus far, there should be an ample amount of fuel to complete this process; however, internal and external conflicts have significantly slowed the acquisition process."

Shockwave then began hooking up additional transistors to the Decepticon Leader's systems.

"I am injecting you with nanomachines that will aid the scan and repair processes that are already occurring. We will, of course, purge them at your command."
___

With Thunderwing dealt with and Soundwave at his side, Megatron began to feel a sense of normalcy returning. There was no way it could be trusted, but it was something. He would allow Shockwave to do his best, but his mind was already thinking past that and how to deal with the contingencies of his failure to provide the answers he sought.

“Cybertron, my lord? What has led you to that conclusion if you will allow my asking?” his black operative, Flamewar, interjected. She was naturally as curious as all of them would be.

"It was the constant in everything I've seen," Megatron began. "Whether I was standing in the Sea of Rust, facing down an Omega Guardian, storming Iacon or back within our capital fortress, Kolkular--I was continually seeing visions of Cybertron. I have no reason to see that as a coincidence. Now....how proceeds the infiltration protocol on this world? Sixshot is here, but I find it unlikely that you all have made it that far in my absence."

Amethyst, a light purple and grey seeker, stumbled through the sliding doors of the medbay, catching himself before he could fall, and walked in, looking about atcthe other occupants of the room. Being the bot he was, he had just gotten back to the Thanatos with the rest of the Seekers and Combaticons, having just gotten back from their victory on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. The mission had gone quite well besides a few mishaps, one of those mishaps being himself, but that hadn't meant that he didn't give it his all. He had just made a few minor miscslculations that spelled serious trouble for himself. Amethyst had been having a lot of fun, until his flamethrowers decided to jam up and the one on his left decided to explode, catching him on fire and causing him to lose control of his flight, spiral out of control, and crash. The crash broke some stuff and the fire did a lot of damage too, not to mention melting parts of his body armor and damaging some of his internal structures. Since he was knocked out on impact with the ground, he didn't know who rescued him. He'd have to find out later. His memory was still in slight disarray. Something wrong with his memory processor too? Sheesh! 'Ah well, at least I made it home in "one piece"'. Truth be told, he was missing some bits, particularly on his right side, but it also seemed the melted alloy had sealed up his outer hull from energon leakages, which was a blessing in a fashion of the sense.

He looked rather down and defeated about the situation, wishing he could have done more, noticing that others were already being worked on. Bonecrusher really had seen MUCH better days, he noticed. He wondered what had happened on the Constructicons' mission, not that it was really HIS business. He gritted his teeth. Knowing he'd have to wait his turn for repairs, Amethyst went and put his back to the wall and allowed his body to slide down until he came to an uncomfortable but manageable sitting position near Skywarp and the others, Amethyst remaining silent unless someone would speak to him or he had reason to speak. Until then, he'd just listen in on what others had to say.

OOC note: I edited my post. I had some errors in it before!

Thundercracker sat patiently to be next to be patched up. Good, the doc was getting over to him and Skywarp. Suddenly, the door opened and in came Vortex with Blast Off.

"Watch," Thundercracker murmured to Skywarp, "He's going demand special attention for him and his buddy."

Sure enough, the Combaticons began to make trouble for Hook and his staff. Thundercracker shook his head in disbelief. That is no way for an army to be run.

To his relief, the Seeker saw that Hook had taken command of the situation. He whispered. "Smart doc. Neither Vortex or Blast Off are going to let that go, though."

Deck 9 - Corrdors

Tantrum indicated he had a stash of the good Energon in their barracks. This pleased the bored and battle heightened Headstrong to no end. Despite not being expressly invited to join his teammate, the rhino decided to follow. After all, wasn't that an invitation in of itself?

Slipstream arrived a step behind Aegis. She didn't power her weapons up, but kept herself ready. Just because the battle sounded like it had concluded didn't mean it was over. The spy kept an optic on Nacelle, too. She didn't trust her fellow Seeker any more than she could throw a Phase Sixer.

To her relief, the battle and its combatants seemed to clear out. The remainder stayed, at least until some deck crew could be contacted to clean up the mess. Slag, Flamewar isn't here. Slipstream needed to speak to the femme about the...interesting way she disarmed Megatron. Probably with the command staff. It didn't escape Slipstream's notice that she wasn't invited to that meeting.

Slipstream saw that Aegis was moving to intercept someone. Thunderwing. She was about to warn him to not to. Thunderwing didn't seem to be in the mood to talk. The spy femme stopped herself. No need to risk her neck for someone she just met.

Instead, she brought up her intelligence file on Thunderwing. Interesting. She'd have to talk to him as well, it seems. Slipstream grinned as a plan began to put itself together.

Deck 8 - Corridors

"Eek!" Hazard jumped back in fear. "Y-you're not Doom!"

He shook in fright and embarrassment. Moreso the former than the latter as the assault specialist began to get a hold on himself. "I-I'm sorry. I was looking for someone. My brother. He looks like me, a lot. Just different colors and bigger."

He took a tentative step back as the much larger mech drew himself to his full height. Hazard gulped and ventured -more like squeaked out, "M-my name's Hazard."

The smaller 'con jumped back in surprise, or maybe fear. Dreadnaut couldn't tell. As far as he was concerned, this 'con wasn't much of an action mech. He was small, quite scaredy and looked meek. The large 'con giggled, but in a gentle, playful manner as opposed to a grim or menacing way.

He shook his head. "Not Doom, Hazard. Dreadnaut. Will help find Doom." The towering mech spoke what little he did softly, but with power. His voice was low, but fluid. One would not have been able to tell that his voice was that of a heavily armed Decepticon of his caliber. His lucent amber optics turned in a way that would appear as if he was smiling, but his faceplate hid the true emotion behind it.

Battletrap hadn't heard much out of Flywheels since the last communication. Battletrap couldn't remember where Flywheels said he was at but did remember something about Megatron.

"Flywheels! Flywheels! Where are you my friend? Are you okay?"

Battletrap walked around deck 8 yelling for his fellow Duocon. He didn't mind the underwater mission with the Constructicons and others but he really missed Flywheels. As individuals they were good fighters but they were better when they were together. While Battletrap yelled for his friend, he saw two other figures in the distance. One was quite large which made the Seeker look tiny.

"Excuse me, have you two seen Flywheels? He is a Duocon like me. His upper body looks like jet and bottom a tank. He good friend and I miss him. I am Battletrap. Duocons can split into two vehicles."

Battletrap looked up at the larger mech with amazement. This Con was well equipped in almost every spot possible. On closer inspection of the Seeker, he is brighter than the Seekers Battletrap has known.

"You look like giant weapon. Seeker would be easy to spot. Giant weapon for artillery?"
