Armory
Razorclaw was a patient mech, quite often to a fault, but he was always a prepared one. The Predacon Commander had wasted no time in leading his unit down to the armory to get rearmed and ready for what would come next. Razorclaw had a hunch of what Shockwave had planned for his team but he had not expected the frequency wide broadcast that soon followed. Listening to the Military Operations Commander demand loyalty from the entirety of the Decepticons made the Predacon leader’s internal fluids boil. Although, while what he had to say regarding Starscream was not entirely incorrect, it would be a cold day in hell when Shockwave assumed the same role that Megatron once occupied.
Shockwave’s communication was soon followed by another one, which was directed solely towards Razorclaw. It was this new set of orders that confirmed the Predacon Commander’s prior hunch. He was both angered and elated at the same time. Angered that the one-eyed ‘Con saw fit to use his unit as his own personal goon squad, but happy that they would finally get off the Thanatos without raising suspicion and then be able to reunite with Onslaught and the others. Hopefully, the Combaticon leader had been able to speak with Motormaster before the transmission had been sent. Regardless, it was finally time to make a move without Shockwave’s prying optic always watching.
>>”Understood, Lord Shockwave. My unit will depart within the breem.”<<
With the response sent, Razorclaw turned to his squad and began to address them. “Predacons, we have new orders. We are to transfer to the Ultrax and subdue Starscream per Shockwave’s command and disable the ship if need be. However, remember what I said before, things are not always what they seem. Now, gather your weapons and ammo and let’s get moving to the bounce chamber ASAP.”
With his shoulder-mounted concussion cannons fully armed, Razorclaw then turned and made his way into the corridor and quickly located an energon port along the adjacent wall. He plugged the tip of his index finger into the port and received a quick recharge that topped off his fuel cells. He motioned towards the other Predacons to do the same if they required it. Divebomb exited the armory and gave his leader a nod before repeating the process at another port a short distance away. It was by no means a necessity, but there was no telling when the next chance to power-up would happen in the coming cycles. Once they were finished, Razorclaw continued on down the corridor towards the bounce chamber with Divebomb following close behind him.
Bounce Chamber
Razorclaw and Divebomb entered the room where the Predacon Commander immediately pointed to the main console. “Divebomb, set the coordinates on the control panel for the bridge of the Ultrax. That’s where Starscream will likely be located.”
“Yes, sir,” Divebomb responded, moving to the control console to input the necessary coordinates as instructed. At the same time, Razorclaw assumed a position on the bounce pad. “Commander, what if ‘Screamer is not on the bridge?”
“Then we spread out across the ship and find him,” Razorclaw responded plainly.
“Are we really going to subdue him, sir? What of the other seekers onboard?”
“We will deal with the other seekers if need be. As for taking Starscream into custody, like I said before, prepare for any eventuality. Now, no more questions, Divebomb. Set the controls and get over here!” Razorclaw’s patience was wearing thin. He didn’t mind the casual inquiry, but repeated questioning got on his nerve receptors.
“Of course, sir,” the flying Predacon replied, sheepishly, as he finished inputting the coordinates. He knew there had to be more to what Razorclaw was saying, but he kept his curiosity at bay for now. Divebomb then moved away from the console and stood beside his leader on the bounce pad as the other Predacons began to arrive in the chamber. “Everything’s set, commander. Once we are all on the pad, the computer will automatically bounce us over to the bridge of the Ultrax.”
“Excellent. It’s only a matter of time now,” Razorclaw said, his second sentence in a more hushed tone. His orders to the other Predacons and answers to Divebomb had been cryptic at best, knowing full well that Shockwave could be listening in on their conversations. Once they were over on the Ultrax more would be revealed without worry of discovery. Of course, whether or not Starscream really needed to be subdued would hinge largely on how much cooperation the Air Commander was willing to give and not on the cycloptic mech’s orders. Razorclaw still needed to find Scrapper and the Constructicons, which was information Starscream was most likely to possess. Regardless of what Shockwave expected to happen, Razorclaw planned on having a little chat with the paranoid seeker one way or another.
